They should have tried to stick to a circular design like that of the grand lodge, with their symbol in the center.
Scarab Sages should be a normal blue scarab within a tan circle.
The Exchange should be a golden scale within a green circle.
Liberty's Edge should just be a grey sword on a blue background.
Dark Archive should be a violet flame within an off-white background.

Back when they were released a lot of people (myself included) tried to make suggestions about how to improve them. As far as I could tell the leadership didn't seem all that responsive and it is very likely that they are going to stay just as they are, which is really unfortunate because right now they look like they were drawn in MS Paint with the most obnoxious color scheme available.

EndlessForms |

Expect a higher-level module from me in January when I get back from NZ. Probably The Harrowing.

Beggar's Pearl was Alie's second scenario ever. Long time no see! Hope you've been well. Can't wait to play in one of your games...

Signboy77 |

RE: New faction icons. I can only guess that they are going with those color schemes for the icons so that they seem more 'techie'? But yeah, the scarab sage icon hurts my eyes.

With the removal of the Only Legitimate Faction, I only lament that I cannot remove this absurd bird off of my retired Cavalier who was loyal first to the Crown and second to the Dalsine family.

"Uh...what? You *want* to work with Sad?!" Sad eyes boggle with confusion, then a sharp look to see if George is teasing, then to tears. He's touched. He has never heard that before.

I like that the first bullet point of the factions section is that the logos will get a 'professional makeover'. Excellent! No more highlighter-yellow Liberty's Edge or strange Scarab Sages color scheme.
Not sure how I feel about Faction Cards yet. Seems cool but more paperwork? Ugh. Please get rid of the Inventory Tracking Sheet (or make it optional) if Faction Cards are now being added to the mix.
Honestly I'm most excited about these:
I got so sick of the "Year of the Demon" Worldwound stuff in Season 5 that I couldn't wait for Season 6 to start. Society play should be decentralized so as to have a little bit for everyone. I don't mind trilogies or arcs that span several scenarios but focusing an entire season on the Worldwound got really boring by the end of it because Society =/= an Adventure Path. Spending an entire AP in one location doesn't seem boring (to me at least) because the story is cohesive and continuous. But Society scenarios are often too disconnected to carry something like a Worldwound invasion plotline for a whole season. At least that's what I thought while playing through season 5.

Seconded.
Honestly I'm most excited about these:
Stop tying the campaign's story to those of the Adventure Paths. Player responses suggest that the Destiny of the Sands model of using a current Adventure Path as inspiration for a three-part series is about right, and even then it's not mandatory that every Adventure Path receives this treatment.
Provide Pathfinder Society its own storyline using its own existing plot threads and creating new ones.
Expand the number of stand-alone scenarios that explore a wide variety of locations rather than get tied down in one location with an ongoing story that is tough to follow if one misses a few pieces. Of the changes announced (what we called "ready for prime time" on the VO boards), this was one of which I was most in favor. Very pleased.
There should be more to come in the months ahead, so stay tuned! :-)

Thanks for linking, I didn't see this before.
I do sort of like the mini-continuity of the season-based scenarios, carrying over elements from scenario to scenario and letting players find those little "easter eggs" is fun, but I agree that it shouldn't overwhelm the stand-alone nature of PFS.
Sounds like all those changes are for the positive. Let's see how it plays out!

Hey EF!
I just ran Rah and two groups of occults through Confirmation in a blistering fast 6 days and First Steps in 12 days. Now want to run through Confirmation again at a slower pace for those who haven't play or GM'd it (maybe none exist?). I had put it up at Maximo's and thought I could ask you to put it up in this thread.

Greetings to all. Looking to get started on PbP Pathfinder scenarios. Thanks for letting me know about the Flaxseed Lodge.

Hello all!
I just wanted to let everyone know that you should check out the campaign tab of the Flaxseed Lodge. I have just added some of my own ramblings about play-by-post playing and GMing. Thanks!

Good stuff Endless. And it was nice to get a namedrop.

MERRY CHRISTMAS, FLAXSEEDERS!

And from New Zealand! We celebrated new year's eve by hiking through Mordor, aka the Tongariro Alpine Crossing. 19+ km hike over a mountain ridge (600+ m elevation change) up into the clouds. Conditions weren't great (40 kph winds making a -1 C wind-chill near the summits) but we survived! Alas, I did not have the will power to throw my ring into Mount Doom. Like Isildur before me, it already has too much power over me....

EndlessForms |

We actually did hike along the ridge behind Mount Doom but didn't climb to the summit because the conditions were bad and it was a 3 hour side track to the summit I lacked the will to cast my ring into its fires.
But seriously, those mountains in that area are active volcanoes. Feels pretty cool to say I've hiked over a volcano.

Okay. I'm taking a break from graduate classes and I'm ready to GM a game. At this time, I'd prefer to GM Scenarios that are Tier 1-5.
The 2nd Sheet on that link is a list of the scenarios that I have GM'ed and Played. Any scenario that is not highlighted Red is available. There are a lot to choose from.
So, I'll check in and take your suggestions. I'm not sure how regular this will be, so I'll hold off on asking Endless to add it to the list of other signups at this time.

Signboy77 |

Okey-dokey.
The people have spoken, and "The Segang Expedition" it is! The four fine folks that voted for this scenario are in. Check the link below if you would like to add your name to the list. I'll take up to 6 players - first come, first served.
Also, I'll need a couple days to get the scenario, read it, and everything. Let's plan on starting Monday the 12th - does that work?
One other thing, I do not know how to report a PFS Scenario from PBP. When I ran during the previous Game Day, I simply emailed the results to the organizers, but I'm not sure how it works normally.

GM Tektite |

You need to go to your account page. Click the My Pathfinder Society tab, then click the GM/Event Coordinator tab. You'll see a tab "Create Your Event". Click that, then pick Segang from the list, name you event, uncheck the public event checkbox, and check the online game checkbox, then create the event.
Once you've done that, you can go into the GM/EC tab and you'll see your event, as well as edit/report/session/clone options to the right. (As well as you event number on the left).
When you've finished the game, just click on report.

I'd like to submit Senjin for the game, DM. He will be a second level brawler. He's gotten 3 xp and I'm going to do a rebuild on him in the next couple of days to turn him into a brawler. I'm on my phone so I can't sign onto the Google doc.

![]() |

Do we have any idea of low/high subtier? If low, I have to get a few sheets uploaded if I'm doing one of my boon characters, so "not immediately" is super.

Signboy77 |

Senjin: I'll put your Level 2 Brawler on the list.
Professor: No idea on sub-tier at this time. I'll probably send a message to those that voted for the scenario to check that they're still interested - then we'll have a better idea.
Tektite: Thanks for the help. GM Trex messaged me the directions as well. Very simple - I just never did it before! :-)

![]() |

I don't think EF is back until 1/13 anyway, so as long as "not immediately" roughly equates to "I can be ready by 1/13", you're golden, Burglar. :-)
I'm planning to take my Cleric of ARODEN! on this one. You'll all be converted by the end from your false gods, I promise.

Signboy77 |

The sign-up sheet is full. I'll get a gameplay thread started soon, with an expected start date of 1/14, to account for Endless getting things in order on his return from the honeymoon.
Our players are:
thunderspirit
RyckyRych
EndlessForms
Burglar
Senjin
Shadowkhan

Also, you can continue to report new games under that event so there's no need to create a new event for each game. That way you can use the same event number and title over and over again. I've been using the same "PFS with EF" event for almost a year now I think.

EndlessForms |

Oh, and I'll be running the new scenarios once I get back in about 6-7 days. I'll probably put them on the sign up sheet in a couple days and roll for winners once I get back to the States.
