So question. There was supposed to be a set of replays awarded with the release of pfs 2e. How can we access or assess how many we have or use them? Is it going to be dependent on the AcP releasing, are they automatic, is there a boon that needs to be issued? I have no clue but I should have one I think, given he total number of scenarios I've played...

![]() |

Well, today I learned I have replays! Are they edition-specific? I'm guessing it'd say if that was the case.

![]() |

Correct those are for 1E. I believe the only way currently to get replays in 2e is through earning Glyphs.

![]() |

Ah, makes sense. Plus that was mentioned in the PF2 guide and I forgot.

Hey Folks! Organized Play Foundation is looking for some data on encounters comprised of skill checks and how they're playing out online specifically. We have a brief survey for both players and GMs that should take no more than 10 minutes of your time; if you'd take some time to fill it out, we'd greatly appreciate it!
Please take a moment and fill it out to help improve our community.

I would do [dice=Bow minus Deadly Aim minus Rapid Shot]1d20 + (normal attack bonus) - (Deadly Aim Penalty) - (Rapid Shot Penalty)
And close it out.
[dice=Piercing plus Deadly Aim]1d8 + (normal damage bonus) + (Deadly Aim Bonus)
And close it out.
You could do a similar one just for Deadly Aim and just for Rapid Shot, too.

I'm converting some of my PCs to PbP format. How does one put Deadly Aim & Rapid Shot into a dice expression?
If this is the wrong place to ask such questions (I'll have more soon), please point me in the right place. Thanks!
It sort of depends on what tool is doing the rolling, but most will accept simple math.
For the Paizo boards, you would put it right in the expression. Using square brackets instead of curly brackets, you would put something like:
{dice=Longbow, deadly aim, inspire courage}d20+7-2+1{/dice}
{dice=cold iron piercing damage, deadly aim, inspire courage}d8+4+2{/dice}
To get something like this:
Longbow, deadly aim, inspire courage: 1d20 + 7 - 2 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 7 - 2 + 1 = 14
cold iron piercing damage, deadly aim, inspire courage: 1d8 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 4 + 2 = 12

Exactly as they said. I have my longbow dice expressions for a full attack in this profile ready to copy/paste if you want to see an example. You can see it live in this character's posting history

![]() |

I do mine a bit different (see below)...but as Frēodwēn mentioned, I have it in my profile where I can cut and paste as needed...
To Hit: Dex+Base, Magic, Weapon Focus, Greater Bracers of Archery, PBS, Precise Shot, Improved Precise Shot, Rapid Shot, Deadly Aim, Point Blank Master, Manyshot
Damage: Strength, Magic, Greater Bracers of Archery, PBS, Deadly Aim, Clustered Shot
Magic Composite Longbow (Manyshot): 1d20 + 17 + 2 + 1 + 2 + 1 - 2 - 3 ⇒ (11) + 17 + 2 + 1 + 2 + 1 - 2 - 3 = 29
Magic/Cold Iron Damage: 1d8 + 3 + 2 + 1 + 1 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 3 + 2 + 1 + 1 + 6 = 18
Magic/Cold Iron Damage: 1d8 + 3 + 2 + 1 + 1 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 3 + 2 + 1 + 1 + 6 = 19
Magic Composite Longbow (Rapid Shot): 1d20 + 17 + 2 + 1 + 2 + 1 - 2 - 3 ⇒ (7) + 17 + 2 + 1 + 2 + 1 - 2 - 3 = 25
Magic/Cold Iron Damage: 1d8 + 3 + 2 + 1 + 1 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 3 + 2 + 1 + 1 + 6 = 14
Magic Composite Longbow (Iterative): 1d20 + 12 + 2 + 1 + 2 + 1 - 2 - 3 ⇒ (1) + 12 + 2 + 1 + 2 + 1 - 2 - 3 = 14
Magic/Cold Iron Damage: 1d8 + 3 + 2 + 1 + 1 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 3 + 2 + 1 + 1 + 6 = 15

![]() |

That's what I'm doing too. Placing the dice expression in my profile. Gonna test it...
+1 Greenwood Adaptive Comp. Longbow
deadly aim, rapid shot & PBS: 1d20 + 8 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 8 + 1 = 18
cold-iron arrow: 1d6 + 8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 8 + 1 = 15
sneak?: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 2) = 3
deadly aim, rapid shot & PBS: 1d20 + 8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 8 + 1 = 16
cold-iron arrow: 1d6 + 8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 8 + 1 = 15
sneak?: 2d6 ⇒ (2, 1) = 3
Ok. Looks good to me.

It is great to list out and separate the different modifiers as you are. This way the GM and players can all see where the bonuses are coming from. Also not all may become relevant as some creature may be immune to something or another. This makes it easier for the GM to pull out what he needs and not slow down PbP.

Wow! Thank you! Since I am pretty new to PbP, what you said makes me feel very happy. :)

I usually post what I'm using (weapon, spell, etc.), put the adjustments, then roll. Afterwards, I put what I used for the adjustments in a ooc post so the GM can make any unseen adjustments (ie: cover, prone, etc.).
Usually like this:
[dice=ranged Touch vs. "Target"]1d20+8+1[/dice]
[dice=possible Cold damage vs. "Target"]4d6+2+1[/dice]
Using Cold Blast (SP) ability with Point-Blank and Precise Shot Feats.

Test post. It took me 4 hours to add Muddy's PbP stats. Whew. I type really slow, used my phone, and did it on a notepad app.
Would something like this, having the escape artist & break checks, be acceptable or should it be in ooc brackets?
Net vs. Touch AC: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16
Entangle: DC 20 Escape Artist, DC 25 break

Hmm. Didn't work.

"How to format your text" under the post text-box has a clue.

Colour tags don't work unless you have the appropriate plugin.
It is much safer to assume folk don't have it.

Elurius Parthreon |

Hey! How'd you get those musical notes to show up? That's really cool!
On a different note, you can always then add them to your tag line for easier copy and paste usage!

You don't need a plug-in for the music note, you just need to find one via google, then copy and paste ♫. There's one that works in the tagline of this character, if you want one to copy.

What would be fun is to hide the word in your posts, kinda like how the Temple of Empyreal Enlightenment has hidden words (it's kinda below the smurface so when I played it our party did not figure that out at all). Some would be more obvious than others, of course, but people would read your posts more carefully. :)

You still get one core and one standard play. (and one chance to get a GM chronicle in each system, too)
Since you're playing pregens with their own pre-purchased equipment, each play is functionally the same, right? So you're just designating a specific run as a "Core" run even though it's no different from the normal run?

Right. The core distinction matters for the character you apply the chronicle to (and everyone at the table must apply it to a core character). Otherwise it is no impact.

Hello everyone, it seems like PF2 is gaining popularity and thus PF1 game are naturally becoming more scarce.
I have already tried to bring GMs I know in RL to play PbP and of course hope that they will also GM at some point in time.
Especially for players at lodges that have moved to PF2 this lodge is a great place to continue playing PF1, right? :-)
