I have not done that.
However, will the group be at full capacity in terms of gear?

![]() |

I have enough points for body retrieval and a raise dead if it comes to that. But since I am stable at -2 hp it should be the cheaper way for me to get back in the game. But then again the baddies could just kill me for the fun of it.

![]() |

I just E-mailed Cap'n Hmm.
I hope she can help; I can afford body retrieval (heck, I could afford *2* body retrievals), but not much more.

![]() |

Hmm is pretty good about getting back to people.

GM Hmm |

Hmm is *sometimes* good about getting back to people. :)
Hello everyone!
Hey guys, I have not had a chance to look at Gameplay yet, or anything here, and I'm going into the craziest part of my week. All I've read is the discussion so far, but it sounds like you and the GM are all in agreement that the current TPK-in-progress was caused by the decisions of players who left before you guys replaced them?
Is that the crux of the matter?
Hmm

![]() |

I thought it was caused by some poor die rolls on our end and powerful die rolls on their end. Plus an Ettin and a chainsaw wieldding Orc. Oh almost forgot the two Chokers that all appeared at the same time. But that was ok since I was lying in a pool of my own blood by that time in the fourth round.
All in all I was having fun.

![]() |

Are the new characters the only survivors.

GM Hmm |

Actually, I was hoping that you and the GM would summarize matters for me. If everyone is in agreement I can make a decision pretty easily. If you're not, then one of the VO team will have to investigate the situation.
Hmm

GM Chyro |

(sits down at 6 AM)
Hello Hmm.
My own summarization:
The current encounter, at which only 1 out of 5 PCs escaped, was a get together of unfortunate circumstances.
By the in-game reputation system, the PCs were not yet at maximum, thereby adding more mooks to the current encounter.
The missing reputation point lies with the decision of the original team (we've had 3 replacements since that encounter) to stay clear of a dangerous crashed shuttle, since one of the original group died to (and rose as one himself) a wraith.
Enemies from another area nearby are written to join the current encounter if still alive, piling up to a higher than party lvl +2 encounter.
Dice were, as Gru'Gar put it, hot at times.

GM Hmm |
3 people marked this as a favorite. |

It sounds like a rotten set of circumstances, and one that was tipped more against the party than the scenario intended, especially with the mix of players. That's not a normal set of cicumstances.
MY RULING:
The deaths that happened, happened. They are part of your character history, as is the lost secondary prestige point. But a faction of former Shadow Lodge folks that enjoy rescuing Pathfinder Colleagues completely underwrote the body recovery, negative levels and raise dead costs for all four dead Pathfinders.
This means that your whole party can go on to the next adventure with wallets and health intact, and hopefully be wiser for the experience.
Have a good game.
Hmm

GM Chyro |

Awesome to hear. :)
That leaves me sorting the details on the chronicles, assuming we're all in agreement to let Scrapwall be for what it is, and have someone else do the mop-up.

GM Chyro |

Mylvwara, Tears at Bitter Manor's PDF costs 17,99, however.

...
...
...Wouldn't it be better if it was the Hand of Queen Ymeri Herself raising my warband and I from the Ash as reward for my EXPLOSIVE last stand, and sticking it to that upstart impostor Hellion?
Just saying; I wouldn't be a very good Cleric if I didn't.

![]() |

Mylvwara, Tears at Bitter Manor's PDF costs 17,99, however.
I was kind of buffaloed for a split-second before remembering, of course, there's some menacing paranormal force forever prowling the Atlantic in search decimal notation to mess up in transit.
I wonder how many lives per year that destroys...?

How would do ve determines?

![]() |

How would do ve determines?
That should read xp and gold.

GM Chyro |

It's the first time a module i've played in/GM'd has had to cancel out.
As such, i'll treat it like a regular 1 XP mission would be.
In those, monetary rewards depends on the encounters one has participated in, and won, the ones yielding treasure, at least. That will be some shifting through, though.
Phoebee and Gru'Gar gain no gold or items in this case.
Since a module is normally worth 3 XP & 4 PP, but this one hasn't been completed, it will depend on the amount of content the PC in question has been through.
There was topside (shuttle and the arena), and this dungeon has 3 sub levels, of which 2 remained.
As far as PP would then be concerned, Brallenera and Mylvwara would get 2 PP, having played through roughly half of the module. Nemesis joined a little later, she gets 1.
XP wise, the same odds. 1.5 XP 1/2 module's worth. for Brallenera & Mylvwara, 1 for Nemesis, who's played roughly a third.
No loss, no gain for Gru'Gar and Phoebee.

GM Chyro |

I think it could work? You'll have to search to be sure. :o

![]() |

Thank you GM Hmm,
Does this mean I get a chronicle sheet saying that I have played this Mod. and I can't replay it with this character? I might have an issue with that one if that is the case.
Getting no exp. or gold I am fine with since the short amount of time playing.

GM Chyro |

I don't know if she'll further view this, but in case she won't, a PM is a few clicks away. :)

![]() |

It sounds, to me, and I could be wrong, that is it s no harm no foul?

GM Hmm |

Chyro --
How far into the module were you? If you were 2/3rds of the way through, you can offer almost complete credit. If half, offer half credit.
Gru G'ar --
As for chronicles, yes, it means you won't be able to play this one again without burning a replay option. Sorry, I can't vanish all obstacles.
:(
I wound up using my first GM replay to get a second shot at a botched scenario. I've also had rematches with problem scenarios by GMing them myself, and offering my players stuff that I missed out upon.
Hope all this helps!
Hmm

GM Chyro |

The team still had this floor, the ground below, and the final zone with the Big Bad to go.
They've covered roughly only half of the dungeon, i've posted the results for that a bit further above.

![]() |

So there is a way to be able to replay it, ok I good with that. Thank you for feed back.
I was just thinking that all I got was a hallway and one combat that was way over powered for the group and now I am burnt from playing the whole mod.

GM Hmm |

Nothing is more frustrating than a PBP TPK!
Dying in slow motion -- when you all know what is happening -- bites. I experienced one of those that burned me on a certain set of scenarios.
But there will be other adventures that will be fun, and times when you will have a better outcome!
Hmm

![]() |

GM Hmm
The dying does not bother me, that is all part of the game. It's the lack (short term)of game play (18 posts from saying hello and joining the group to Stabilized).
So question for GM Cyro. Does this end this game, And I should look for another game for Gru'Gar to try and die at. Or are you running something else with this group?

![]() |

Looking at reviews, Tears at Bitter Manor looks on the tough end.
Maybe House on Hook Street?
I can't remember whether or not I've done the former; maybe I have, maybe I haven't.
The latter, on the other hand, I'm pretty sure I've never done. So there's that.

GM Chyro |

Gru'Gar,
I'm going to look for another thing to run instead.

GM Chyro |

GM Chyro |

There was From shore to sea.
However, when one review said 'CR 11 encounter for mid lvl party', i figured that would not take your fancy.

![]() |

I've actually done it - my Witch had a close call, but I don't recall any CL 11 encounter.
I just figured "Broken Chains" sounded like an adventure I'd rather reserve for a Liberty's Edge or Shining Crusade character, but no worries. It sounds fun.

![]() |

After seeing the description and a few no-spoiler reviews, I actually really fancy House on Hook Street.
So, I’ll let Chyro decide (with everyone’s input) but, if you choose HoHS, I’ll gift you the pdf.

![]() |

Is the plan to come back to this AP after a bit of xp and moolah gaining.

![]() |

I am fine with what ever. As a member of Liberty's Edge, a run at Broken Chains would be fun.

GM Chyro |

Brallenera, Gru'Gar, your thoughts on it?

![]() |

about when would we begin?

GM Chyro |

After the weekend. I've the chronicles to sort out.
Broken Chains seems a lvl 6 to lvl 7 module.
House on Hook Street is lvl 6 to lvl 8.
Obviously, there's some playing up either way.

GM Chyro |

With current XP rewards, perhaps 1 single mission will get Nemesis to lvl 6 as well?

![]() |

I am presently at 13 XP - so if, as I believe you said, I only got 1 XP out of Thunderdome back there, I'll be just shy.

GM Chyro |

Shy 1 mission of hitting 6, gotcha.
Will 1 XP lvl up Brallenera & Mylvwara?
