I'll be playing Mylvwara from here onwards.
That means:
Lady B - Dwarf Barbarian
Carr - Aasimar Battle Oracle/Barbarian
Ting - Tengu Slayer
Mylvwara - Elf Wizard (conjurer)
Obviously, we need to keep the group free of humans... and we could do with both healing and ranged combat, if that's possible?

GM Chyro |

The original generation isn't. Nowadays though...

A 6.0 PC (fighter 1/investigator 5) has volunteered for at least Iron Gods.
Not a healer PC, but can use healing wands.
Link to profile.
As i've considered starting Tuesday 24th, we've still some days for applicants to sign up for it.
Edit: He says he doesn't think he's played any of our other missions, and would be open for continuing after Iron Gods.
What are the odds.

GM Chyro |

Seems he's capable of that, his extracts are frontline orientated.

GM Chyro |

He's carrying javelins, sling & composite longbow +3.
I'm almost inclined to say screw waiting, he's the one we need, if Carr wants to switch to the healer aspect.

GM Chyro |

Playing sanctioned content counts as regular PFS, you'd be dead if you die.
Edit:
Brallenera, craft tailoring: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21

![]() |

Thanks, That's what I thought, if we were playing for the points like I had with 'dragons demand' it wouldn't have to be the actual character. But I did want to make sure.

GM Chyro |

Alright guys, game reported, and the fresh chronicles have been delivered to your email.

![]() |

Now, where did that fox go?
Hey everyone. I heard you needed a wand-wielder. Drexel is a wandering, wand-wielding, warrior poet.
Edit: I need to do a little polishing up of Drexel's sheet, I leveled recently and I haven't used him in PbP yet, but I'll have it done by your intended start time for the next module.

![]() |

Let me know if you guys need a traps/stealth/scouting rogue.

GM Chyro |

Drexel, out of curiosity,
Your sheet mentions your falcata at +9 to hit, power attack included, at 4 BaB that suggests a +11 to hit normally.
BaB +4, 3 str, +1 enhancement, WF, where is the extra +2 coming from?

Probably an error, I haven't played him in PbP and the sheet was rather hastily put together at some point. I'll be going through with my paper character sheet and correcting any discrepancies today. I think I might have copied down his attack routine while under the effect of bull's strength as he usually drinks that.

GM Chyro |

If i may suggest,
Given the sanctioned content is a module's worth, prepare as best you can.
Even with Carr and Drexel able to heal, a few potions would not be excessive luxury to have.

![]() |

Okay, I think Drexel should be all updated. I went ahead and bought some cure light wounds potions, so if he goes down you can pour one of those down his throat.

![]() |

Just need to remind myself how to buy spells in PFS, then Mylvwara is good to go.
I believe in PFS you have to have a scroll of the appropriate spell on a chronicle sheet, and then you can copy it as per the rules in the CRB:
0th- 5 gp
1st- 10 gp
2nd- 40 gp
3rd- 90 gp
4th- 160 gp

GM Chyro |

Yes. Purchase & copy with spellcraft.
Those prices aren't accurate, though.
Spell Level [Cleric, Druid, Wizard] <Sorcerer> (Bard) Paladin, Ranger
0 [12.5 gp] <12.5 gp> (12.5 gp) -
1st [25 gp] <25 gp> (25 gp) 25 gp
2nd [150 gp] <200 gp> (200 gp) 200 gp
3rd [375 gp] <450 gp> (525 gp) 525 gp
4th [700 gp] <800 gp> (1,000 gp) 1,000 gp
5th [1,125 gp] <1,250 gp> (1,625 gp) —
6th [1,650 gp] <1,800 gp> (2,400 gp) —
7th [2,275 gp] <2,450 gp> — —
8th [3,000 gp] <3,200 gp> — —
9th [3,825 gp] <4,050 gp>

I checked the FAQ and it looks like the pay-for-a-peak rule is back in PFS.
As outlined by a VA here.
Here is the latest FAQ.
Can my prepared spellcaster learn spells from another PC? What about gaining spells via scrolls found during an adventure?Players are welcome to exchange spells with each other during an adventure. They must still follow all the normal rules as put forth in the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Core Rulebook and their class descriptions (for instance, an alchemist can scribe from a wizard, but not vice-versa) and they must not bog the session down.
Similarly, scrolls found during an adventure can be used to add spells to spellbooks and similar class features (such as a witch's familiar), using the normal rules for doing so. Scrolls used in this way during an adventure do not need to be purchased, but are still consumed as normal.
With either method, the GM should sign off on the spells gained (after witnessing successful skill checks) on affected players' Chronicle sheets. All other methods of gaining new spells (such as by gaining a level or purchasing access to an NPC's spellbook) function as described in the Core Rulebook and relevant class descriptions. Between adventures, PCs can always find an NPC to teach them any spells that are legal for their character to learn.
posted March 2017 | back to topHow much does it cost for my prepared spellcaster to learn a spell from an NPC?
NPCs charge a fee for learning spells from them. This fee is always equal to half the cost to write the spell into a spellbook (see Writing a New Spell into a Spellbook on page 219 of the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Core Rulebook).

My current wishlist is:
sands of time (3d6+lvl damage to constructs) - wiz lvl 3
disable contruct - wiz lvl 3
invis sphere (immune to lasers) - wiz lvl 3
lightning bolt - wiz lvl 3
fleeting defect (nerf constructs) - wiz lvl 2

GM Chyro |

The most amusing thing will probably be that Mylvwara will prepare those, before she (in character) knows she's going to Numeria, and what she might be dealing with.
(which will vary)

![]() |

Hey, we all know what kind of a rumour mill large organisations can become.
Working in the scriptorium, Mylvwara probably knows her missions well in advance.

GM Chyro |

There's missions opening with you getting pulled out of bed in the middle of the night.
Modules (let alone sanctioned content) don't follow standard PFS protocol. :D

GM Chyro |

I'll reckon you guys will have your stuff set by tomorrow, but i'll put in the opening post.
(Gm's excited to run this)

GM Chyro |

Stuff happens.
What kind of job do you do, then?

GM Chyro |

I'm uncertain, but it look like it provides +2 con?
At least price wise it matches.
Maybe check the boards. :o

GM Chyro |

Found something.
It's no longer existent as an item for Pathfinder.
(Due to 3.5)
So basically it's a useless mention thereof. :/

![]() |

awww, I sought it on PRD, and as I didn't find it I thought it might be an item created for this adventure..
So what can I buy with my money? Isn't the max money you can spend on magical item 1000 GP?

GM Chyro |

I don't know without looking it up.
I reckon it to be in the guide, though.

Your purchase limit is governed by your fame:
Under 5 0 gp
5 500 gp
9 1,500 gp
13 3,000 gp
18 5,250 gp
22 8,000 gp
27 11,750 gp
31 16,500 gp
36 23,000 gp
40 31,000 gp
45 41,000 gp
...and so on. Page 20 of the Guide to Pathfinder Society Organized Play 9.0.

So If Fame=Prestige, I got 16 fame and should be able to buy any magical item costing 3000 GP or less?
Unless you didn't get the second Prestige point on a lot of adventures you should have more than 16 Fame. Fame is the total of all the Prestige you've ever accumulated. So if you get 2 Prestige every time, and have played 15 adventures, you should have 30 Fame.
For example my character has 30 Fame, but only 28 Prestige since he bought a CLW wand.

GM Chyro |

I'm guessing teacher work still has Mylvwara occupied.
I'll wait till Friday before botting, hopefully she'll be able to squeeze a post in, otherwise i'll have the team move out towards adventure.

GM Chyro |

Surely you switch those get-ups with the your spouse.
:o
