Assume I climb a little to the right/east side of the building, I aim to get to the right of both halflings, and then get up on top.
Of course the right one gets an AoO as I finish the climb.

GM Chyro |

I'm going to be away during the day tomorrow and expect not to be back before 21:00, Amsterdam timezone.

GM Chyro |

I was wondering wheither you guys would finish on round 2 or more.
'The diplomats', as i'll refer to the other party, put a fast smackdown on them.
They killed em all, save for the girl, whom they questioned.

DM Aron Marczylo |

Hi there, sorry about the late posting, but I've been without a computer but now...IT'S ALIVE!!!
And I've named him Patchwork :D

GM Chyro |

You guys, better you roll awesome and i terribly, because there's things more dangerous aboard. One of which is on deck, about to make its entrance.
Btw Toorin, your turn.

![]() |

Just so you know, I'm on a new schedule for the next 5 weeks, working in the mornings, M-Th. So most of my posting will come in the evening or first thing in the morning. As things settle down after this first few days, I may post in the early afternoon if there is need.

GM Chyro |

Well that's what you're facing now up on deck.
I thought your char would be thrilled to face one of those, with Lamashtu and all. ;)

![]() |

** spoiler omitted **
If he has to enter combat, he'll be attempting to do non-lethal damage and maybe convince him later. This certainly opens many doors for roleplaying.
Also, Julia addresses herself as a daughter of Lamashtu, which is entirely possible considering how many children the Mother of Demons must have and the idea of bringing in a secret church will boost her mother's power who would most certainly be grateful to her daughter.

GM Chyro |

Well, it's also a fun rp to me in that case.

GM Chyro |

Does it make anyone feel relieved in the slightest, when i say that gnoll is carrying a potion of CLW?

GM Chyro |

Could, but no, you guys need it more than he does.
He's two hands full as is.

GM Chyro |

Depends on weither i'm tired and if my alarm doesn't malfunction. :)
But i sleep during the night, Amsterdam timezone (+1 GM)

GM Chyro |

I'm hoping Joseph comes up with some interesting rp hook.

GM Chyro |

If not by 4PM (24 hours passed then), i'll bot him and follow his guide lines as best i can.
That could potentially include some circumstantial skill rolls.

GM Chyro |

You being a paladin, that'd be totally legit.
We'll see how it goes.

![]() |

Cool, I'm looking forward to seeing if he tries to talk the team into sparing the gnoll, since he was speaking his language. Ala'Ihys is looking forward to using smite evil, which I totally forgot about in the first round :)
lol, this will be interesting in roleplaying circumstance.

![]() |

This reminds me of the set up in my KM game. One or two characters were lawful, but didn't realise the Bard (who became the ruler) was not who he said he was. He stole the armour of a man he killed, who had the charter to the Stolen Lands. He and his bandit group were going to return and there was a very real chance that he'd have to admit to his companions and wife, that he has lied and been using a dead man's name.

GM Chyro |

Aha, fortunately for Joseph, i 'think' his evil vibe is over by then.
At will is only if you wan to 'scan' an area, without concentrating upon a specific object or person.

GM Chyro |

Last chance in the fight for Ala'Ihys to scan Joseph, provided Brallenera doesn't smash the gnoll's skull.
Kill it and heal up, you've got one more fight below deck.

GM Chyro |

So far, as the perceptive might have noticed, i've not used the flat footed condition in the 1st round against anyone in any of the scenarios.
Would you prefer i keep it that way, or go onto flat-footed?
Works both ways.

![]() |

Awwww I am not perceptive!
Haven't seen it...
could do with FF (or not). Maybe that could be used when we're level 2, so we have a better chance of survival?

GM Chyro |

Dealing with gnolls would've been so much easier if this were a purely social enounter, opposed to fighting them. :)

GM Chyro |

Not if Ala'Ihys shoots him down now, which i rather reckon he will.

GM Chyro |

I'll need each char's PFS #.
Could each of you post here, or PM me, an email address i can send the chronicles to.
Dayjob rolls if any.
I was thinking of next monday for the next scenario.

![]() |

PFS 133884-3
Awwww, no profession/craft for me so far. But I got free drinks, and a new place to have fun in! You'll find me at the "Second Chance" bar, especially on the 5th night on the weeks: a drink&brawl night!
sings "Girls wanna have fun" (or "Wreckingball" if there are slavers around) Perform, sing: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (14) - 1 = 13 Not too bad!
My mail was sent via PM (25 April), you can use the same adress, Chyro.
So we're still level 1?

GM Chyro |

If you put profession ranks in it, sure, you'd be working for embassies in your off-time.
Remember, as long as you are lvl 1 and between playing scenarios, you can adjust your char.

![]() |

In that case, I might as well adjust putting 1 skill point into Appraise and instead put it into Profession (Diplomacy).
Day Job: Profession (Diplomacy): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15
I would like to have Toorin add some 1st level spells to his spellbook. RAW says this costs half the cost of writing materials for permission and I assume you also have to pay the cost of the writing materials, so that would be 1.5 times the cost of writing materials. Then there is 1 hour of study plus a DC 16 spellcraft roll to understand the spell.
The main consequence of failing the spellcraft roll is having to wait a week to try again. Not sure if one would have the pay the cost if one fails the spellcraft roll.
So let me know how much of this has to be role played or if anything can be passed over. The actual cost is minimal for 1st level spells, something like 15 gp.

![]() |

I'll check on some new equipment before next adventure
I'd like to buy a masterwork dwarfen waraxe (330 GP).
If I want this Msw Dwarf axe to be made in cold iron, would it be possible? Would it cost 360 GP (Msw+double price for the axe) or 660 GP (double axe+Msw cost)?
As I don't have my books with me, what kind of bonus can I get with 3PP?

GM Chyro |
2 people marked this as a favorite. |

To Toorin: Sorry but that job roll won't count. If you had that point already it at the start it would.
I'll read up on that spell copying and let you know.
To Brallenera: i'd read it comes to the 360.
Since: You want a cold iron axe > 2x cost, that is going to be mwk quality > add 300.
