The Festering Blot | Tarnbreaker’s Trail

Yellow goes down with the first hit from Mongo’s sword.

Combat over.

Blue is dead. It depends on when Mongo stops swinging his sword as to if Yellow is still alive. Green dies to the Acid. There is a reasonable chance you could get to Red and stop any bleeding before they die.

They are all equipped with the same items. Each of them has a masterwork dagger, an amulet with the iconography of Dominion of the Black on it, a wand, two potions, several scrolls and a spellbook.

I will need to go through the gameplay and double check what was used.

The way is clear for you to go back in the mine, but at this point you potentially have more prisoners than you can easily transport.

Tycho suffers no ill effect using the wand. They then recall how many curses do not activate until the victim is in a stressful situation.

Tycho's take 10 on spellcraft is 25; if they can't get something they will lend their wand of Identify to Theodric.

"Halfling Dalviss" turns to Warpac. When no one's trying to murder us or frighten us, using our gifts doesn't react like my stew — in other words, you won't get angry or want to vomit.

They twirl Mongo's wand like a baton to heal him.

CLW wand: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
CLW wand: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
CLW wand: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

By way of demonstration, they use a spell to heal Warpac.

CLW, CL 8: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6

See? Everything's fine — and every last bit counts, Warpac! Ha, ha, ha!

They shift into Guaril and conjure a carriage; it's made of insubstantial shadows and decorated with insidious red stars — a fitting transport for these cultists. The reigns float in the air, held by an invisible being. I assume this being a mine with a mining road, a carriage could be used on the road? If not Tycho can do a Communal Mount.

"Guaril" goes on to say: I have… procured… a lovely carriage for our use. Our prisoners can ride back to town in comfort — all you have to do is believe that what Uncle Guaril says and does is true. Would I lie? Tycho voluntarily fails their save to disbelieve the carriage; we can throw in any prisoners who fail their save or tie them to a real horse.

Shall we have discourse with our new captives before riding back to Dustpawn?

The Festering Blot | Tarnbreaker’s Trail

Yes, you can get a wagon sized vehicle to the mine. A carriage qualifies.

Nothing they have requires more than a 25 Spellcraft to Identify. As I said, I will need to review the gameplay to account for items used.

I will get the loot out sometime tomorrow. Sorry for the delay.

Tycho would love to interrogate them disguised as Arbatoh, but we might want to just move things along or maybe do a summary if the GM is busy (also, watching someone interrogate enemies might not be the most fun thing to spend time on in PbP).

Figure out your plan and I will update tomorrow.

Tycho will disguise themself as Abtaroh and use Melody's Tongues spell. They will make sure to have her holy symbol on hand.

In Aklo, from Melody's spell, "Abtaroh" will them that their capture is the will of the The Emissary from Beyond, and to play along with the stupid questions. It's a test. It's madness. It doesn't need to make any sense. Their defeat is the Emissary's will, and they are to tell these peasants everything they know. Afterwards, they are to be taken back to town where they will be put in a safe place to await further instructions from the Emissary, once Abtaroh gets the next vision.

disguise check, disguise self, disguise kit, Sivinah's Veils, race penalty, gender penalty: 1d20 + 21 + 10 + 2 + 3 - 2 - 2 ⇒ (17) + 21 + 10 + 2 + 3 - 2 - 2 = 49

bluff to mimic voice, mimic voice with Mummer's Ruff and Sivanah's Veils: 1d20 + 21 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 21 + 10 = 50

Quesitons include:
- Who are you?
- What is your mission?
- How long have you been workign for Abtaroh?
- How do you halt the progression of this poison/curse?
- Who else is cursed?
- Do you know the prospectors visiting Dustpawn?

Any other questions? Happy to get a tl;dr of this from the busy GM or say it didn't work and move on if needed.
