Comprehend languages; Tycho can at least follow Melody's conversation as long as they can see her and read lips.
They 5-foot step closer. They will translate as much as they can into Common while the conversation continues. Shoulda thought of that last round!

Mongo watches the unfolding events with concern. I've never heard of diplomacy-by-grappling before.
He then moves to the other side, ready to attack anything hostile that comes that way.

Mongo moves to the other passage. Looking down it, there doesn’t appear to be any creatures there but there are more of the strange scratched drawings.
Warpac watches and waits.
The creature screams and struggles in Timtenzekil’s grasp, somehow managing to get free!

Tycho translates so that everyone knows what is being said.

then left in a hole forsaken!”
The creature looks desperate.

Her response makes no sense.

C is for Castrovel, the elvish & lashunta home
G is for Golarian, a cage for you know who
And Another A for Akiton -- which is Red -- not Blue”

We didn't know then the dreadful cost!
Like flotsam upon the shore, we're tossed
Our planets gone; all is lost!

Tycho listens fascinated, wondering what this strange person will rhyme next.

"Which planets are lost? What holocaust?"

GM Bret |

GM Bret |

Although she squirms around a lot, Mongo does manage to pin her. Then someone hands him a rope and he ties her up.
Calling the combat at this point, there isn’t more ch she can effectively do.

![]() |

"We're sorry to restrain you, but we don't want to injure you. Please, what can you tell us about the woman?"

GM Bret |

“Woman stole the stranger, the wanderer and the cage.
She aiding The Eye who will cause rampage.
The Eye wants its planets back
She will give them to the black.”
She is shouting this angrily, still struggling within the bonds. She is still speaking in Aklo.
You now have time to look at the pictures scrawled on the walls. She has covered a large area with different crude murals.
The murals mostly show a small town overshadowed by a dark cloud that has an eye in it. The eye comes into the town and there is destruction everywhere. There are crude pictures of people taking on animal traits.
There are other pictures of these animalistic people slaughtering normal people while the cloud with the eye watches. It looks sort of like two armies fighting each other.
Very strange.

It can see us now. It will be with us soon.
The Eye watches.”

Tycho pulls out a scroll and casts it. Calm Emotions; DC 13 will… they'll try again if the creature makes the save (they have 5 of these scrolls).
Edit: as long as that's ok with everyone else… it's a 20' radius. I can't think of another way to calm this creature down short of knocking her out.

Tycho warns everyone so any who object can get out of the area and then casts his spell from the scroll.
Bat Elf’s Will save, enchantment: 1d20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 6 + 2 = 12
Bat Elf calms down for a moment.
In common, she says “The Eye brings doom,
Within the gloom.”
Alright, at least you don’t need a translator to speak to her now.
Note that the spell only lasts three rounds.

Tycho, having thoroughly enjoyed all the weird verse, attempts some doggerel of their own.
To stop the lady we have come
To blind the eye, and bring the sun.
We beg of you, who mean you well:
Where does this evil lady dwell?
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (12) + 14 = 26 Or, if more appropriate, oratory at +10

GM Bret |

“I can’t keep her away,
She comes here each day.
The sudden calm seems strange,
What made me change?”

![]() |

"When does she come and where do you meet her?

GM Bret |

Bat Elf seems puzzled by Warpac’s question.
“I think it is only once a day,
At least it felt that way.
She finds me in my place,
I would rather not see her face!”
You get the impression that she doesn’t have a good sense of time.

![]() |

Tycho attempts to reassure her about the “sudden calm,” hoping to make her naturally calm beyond the means of the spell. They smile foolishly as they recite the verse:
This natural calm is that of friends,
We hope indeed it never ends.
Within this peace are questions heard
Where allies heed each other’s words.
