A friend and I are hoping to find a sanctioned-style version of the new Starfinder AP Dead Suns. We would prefer it to be Starfinder Society compliant, even if the AP is not yet legal for Society play.

We are both experienced Pathfinder players, though obviously new to Starfinder.

We are looking for something where we can have slightly more RP flexibility than the short Society scenarios with some time to grow the characters and their connections.

Please feel free to message me if you are a GM looking for some experienced and laidback RPers looking to run the Dead Suns AP.

Thanks for considering us!

1 person marked this as a favorite.

As the leaves turn, the Autumnal Market Festival approaches. Held on the Autumnal Equinox, this year on Oathday, Rova 21st, the festival is a gathering of many to the town of Phaendar to trade, make pacts for the coming season, and sell wares to people that have travelled far to buy them....

For those interested, I am starting up an Ironfang Invasion game. Recruitment is open until the 16th of September.

Here is the recruitment page. Irongfang Recruitment

I am new to PBP, but a long time players interested in getting in a little RGP during the regular week. I work from home, and I'm willing to roll up whatever may be needed for a campaign... looking for something in a Pathfinder RP, but would not rule something else out.

I have a level 1 pilot ( Ace Pilot Soldier / 1 ) available for a Starfinder PbP.

My Pilot is finished.

Man who vanished 3 years ago is looking to rejoin the community.

Not current on PFS, or all the rules alterations Paizo has published. I have several older characters available, none of great power, though. And none that I've really looked at in 3 years, either.

I have played the 5 part SFS intro mod, and have several characters put together for that play. One of the simpler, a Vesk Icon Soldier feels like ti has the best potential for fun, as he mugs for the camera during combat.

I'd love to get this guy into a Giantslayer AP

Looking to play, looking to try something different always. Willing to play a variety of character classes, but I do not have a ton of pre-generated ones to throw out of my back pocket. I tend to make characters as the campaign needs them, but doesn't take me long to hash something out. Tend to make Alchemist-type characters, but more than willing to throw together anything for the sake of trying something new and potentially exciting.

I'm a somewhat experienced gamer trying to get into my first Pathfinder pbp game.
I've posted a couple of links on the AP google doc, but figued I'd comment here as well.
For characters I've currently got:

  • Silash - Dwarven Divine Tracker Ranger created for a WOTR pbp application.
  • Teryll - Half-Elf Bloodrager (Black Blood) created for a Kingmaker pbp application

Both are 20 point buy, and neither character was selected so have not been in play in any game.

I'm up for almost any AP. Currently have no PBP's running.

My preferences would be S&S or Kingmaker. I'd love to see a kingmaker game survive.

I prefer casters and higher level games, but have some other ideas too. Along with that I prefer DM's who are magic-friendly. All I ask is that if you have a lot of house rules around magic please let me know up front so I can make an informed decision.

Basically that's it.

Thank you for your consideration. Fingers crossed

Hello I am up for anything I am completely new to pathfinder but I am ready and willing to learn.

Hi, I haven't actually played a table top RPG since AD&D 2nd Edition, easily over 20 years ago. But it's a hobby I have always wanted to get back into. The Starfinder launch seems like a perfect opportunity to jump in so I have purchased the Core Rulebook and the other launch products. All I am missing is a gaming group to play with! So I'm trying my luck finding a Play-By-Post game. Ultimately I would love to GM as well, but I want to get my feet wet with a few games as a player first.

So if any GM's need a player for a Starfinder game, AP or otherwise, please let me know! I'm excited to play! Thanks in advance!

Hi guys. Some of you may remember me from my old handle, thegreenteagamer. I GMd a few games that lasted a while, one that did not, and had little success finding a game where I fit in long term as a player. I miss that.

I have two dozen character concepts I've wanted to use for years, each with personality, story, and because I'm that kind of guy, a planned build. I have ideas for just about every race, class, or alignment... But not every combination of each.

I like a game with action AND story. Not enough of one is just as bad as the other. I prefer lawful evil or neutral evil characters...antivillains who can play nice with the good guys against a greater threat. I keep a brisk posting pace...usually multiple a day or whatever the going rate is.

Mazes, puzzles, and the like lose me. Social intreague can grab me if it is done right. Interparty relationships, even if friendship, built over time rock. Love a sandbox game, but will ride the rails if the GM can make it FEEL like I'm not. I can and if needed will play healers, but they will do more than heal. I have strong system mastery, but will only make observations in PM to the GM to avoid slowing the game down, and I respect rule zero.

I miss being a player. Even in person it feels like all I do is GM.

What prompted you to change your handle?

Lots of life changes. Long story. Also more of a coffee guy now.

Looking for a Jade Regent game, preferably one that is just about to start or has recently started.

Pathfinder Adventure Path Subscriber

I've been looking for a place to play the Starfinder Adventure Path Dead Suns. I've been playing Pathfinder for quite a while now, and while I wouldn't consider myself an expert, I do think I'm a pretty-okay player.

Dark Archive

Looking for a spot in a Dead Suns AP game as well.

No mechanical side for her yet (but I can bash that out quickly enough once I sit down to do it), but here's a character for Council of Thieves. Although she can be easily re-written to fit into any campaign that starts in a major city (which is why she's also on the Google Sheet's page for Shattered Star).

EDIT: Incidentally; it is surprising how few human-looking portraits there are on this site with long, blonde hair who isn't one of the Iconics (and those ones tend to always be drawn with white hair rather than blonde). This was the closest I found and, since she's wearing a strapless top in the full picture, the avatar makes it look like she's naked.

Going back a bit, but would anybody be interested in running Rise of the Runelords?

For obvious reasons I don't expect this request to go through but... I would prefer to play a good align Drow who worships someone like Eilistraee. Perhaps a Dancing Dervish Bard with Scimtar and is Dex base.

Willing to play just about anything new to the PBP been difficult getting in anything have played a few table top games.

If you're interested, I've got a game that I've inherited from the original GM. About three players are leaving for various reasons. Here's the thread to introduce yourself. Drop in and say hello.

RotRL games are getting harder to find now it seems lol.

Try finding a game when you want to play a Drow lol ;p

I have lost two different drow players from games that I run.

Monstrous Races homebrew Dungeon World campaign recruitment thread up!

Here!

It's like Pathfinder but with a little less crunch. Check it out if you feel like it!

I've two characters who didn't make it through recruitment:

Pharithstilis Euduethistle for RotRL

G'Lyn Nalag for KingMaker

Looking for a brave person or two to play solo or duo in a deadly campaign I'll be running. Gestalt, any paizo race that doesn't give you fly speed, 25 point buy, 500 gold start. Or if you using wanting to use another ruleset version let me know. Trisalt and 35 point buy if going in alone, still no fly speed and still 500 gold, no traits that increase gold.

I'm intrigued. Does "deadly" mean you expect characters may not last? Have you tried this before?

"Trisalt"?

RPG Superstar 2009 Top 16

I'm assuming it means Triple Gestalt

Gotcha. Well I’d be interested to try this but I guess I need to know whether it will be solo or duo for the character build.

I'm glad your interested, deadly means I'll be running 5th editions tomb of annihilation under pathfinder rules, a lot of it is sandbox mode and random encounters, and people including NPCs are under a death curse, but the set encounters can be pretty deadly. If you want to do solo, let me know, if you want to find a partner and do duo, let me know. If two people want solo, I'll run separate campaigns.

I’m flexible on solo vs duo. If somebody else shows interest and I can help make a duo I’m game for that. If it’s taking time to find others and you want to get one started, I’m happy to proceed with solo.

Some simple clarification questions:

- is there a canonical set of gestalt rules published somewhere that I should stick to? I looked it up and the concept is simple enough. It seems the biggest drawback to gestalt would be that your feat pool is serving multiple classes.

- You mentioned it’s a 5e module, so pathfinder rules in that setting or transplanted into the PF campaign setting?

Thanks!

I didn't make a thread for it, cause I wanted to see if there was interest for it first, and I'm only recruiting 1 or 2 of you, so I posted it here.
Gestalt rules are easy to find, an no canonical rules that I can find.
It is pathfinder rules, using pathfinder converted monsters (which is easy to do since pathfinder has like 3 times as many monsters as 5e, T-rex, skeletons, vampires there is a pathfinder version for that, converting from pathfinder to 5e is harder) in the 5e setting. Though we will be using Pathfinder Gods. Early guns if you go gunslinger.

Thank you! I'm in. I'll create a build once we see who else is and what style they want to play.

I wonder if there is a virtual table looking for players. I would prefer Rise of Runelords...

I’m 8n but for one question. What’s the posting rate?

Posting rate for a 1 man team would be 2 to 3 times per day average, except maybe the weakends.

Let us know if you're in for a duo instead of a solo run. If so I can shift gears on my character build.

If i was playing i would play duo. Not sure i can keep up such high a posting rate, though

If you would be willing to run a second table i could play solo next year. My work is changing to involve more computers, so i will have more opportunities to post. If you would be willing i have an idea for what i want to play. I may as well get started on building it now. I just have five questions

1. Are you open to third party?
2. Would you allow the Scaled Fist’s and the Natures whispers revelation to stack? One is untyped and one replaces dexterity so i was hoping...
3. When you say any paizo race does that mean we can play races with a high RP that are still playable? The Munavri are one example
4. Will we have ready acces to the magic items we want/need?
5. Will we have much downtime if we have any at all?

Just seeing if anyone is planning on running Hell's Rebels anytime soon.

I'd be down for a Hell's Rebels game myself; got an oracle that I'd love to toss into the ring.

As an aside, love the character, Meliandri! You did a really good job on fleshing her out and making her more than just a stat block.

I'm already playing in a Hell's rebels game and I'll tell you it's a great AP. So definitely get in on one if you can.

Speaking of AP's, is Mummy's mask any good? Osirion looks like such a rich place to have adventures in but there doesn't seem like much happening there. After seeing the new Assassin's Creed game it just got me thinking how much I'd enjoy adventuring in Osirion.

It’s interesting. We’ve only just started the first installation. It isn’t as open-ended (at least at first) as some of the others seem to be, forcing you to explore a tomb.
