![]() So I'm building a Harrying Fire build with an Envoy and I notice an interesting sounding combo. Fire Support - Any enemy you succeed with Harrying Fire also lets you provide Covering Fire with the next Ally this creature attacks Restricting Fire - If you provide Covering Fire to an Ally then you can choose one enemy to lose their reactions/readied actions till their next turn. Does Fire Support's Covering Fire proc Restricting Fire's ability? ![]()
![]() I was wondering if it was possible to stack the Magic Hacks Energy Alteration with Spellshot. The latter talks about casting a spell as a Standard Action into a gun, and the former allows you to change the spells energy type as a Full Action when you cast it (or as a Standard Action if you spend an RP). So can you alter the energy type of the spell when you use spellshot? And if so, do you have to spend an RP to keep it as a Standard Action since Spellshot requires a spell that uses a Standard Action? ![]()
![]() So I realize that there's two interpretations of the spell Wall of Fog (and subsequently Wall of Steam)

![]() Alright, well sorry for the double post, but I did my shopping and I think he's right and ready to go. *crosses fingers that he did it right* Aarius was raised in an orc tribe with his mother orc, while his father was an honorable human warrior killed in battle a long time ago. Aarius himself was born, quite literally, on the battlefield. Maybe it was the energies of the onsuing fight, maybe it was a blessing from Gorum, maybe it was multiple sources, whatever the case, he seemed to be given a gift into warfare itself. However, it was not until he grew older that his fighting prowess was shown to be more supernaturally gifted than that of his clanmates, however, his ability to fight was rivaled by his gift of the tongue and his spellcasting. Aarius may be a brute, but he is by no means stupid, he sees a lot of benefits from being able to heal on the battlefield. He ended up leaving the tribe to become an adventurer to find out more about his abilities. He traveled through many places to obtain some of his magical arsenal, including his weapon of choice, a Maul that could strike even ghosts. However, he finds himself more of a bodyguard type, usually those that investigate mysterious disappearances find themselves in very deadly situations, and he is there to lend a hand to help those in their own personal battlefield. ![]() One more before I go to bed. I decided to work on Ripnugget and I had to change quite a bit but I think I kept what was necessary. Warchief Ripnugget
As you can see, I kept some things the same, like he has all of his items now. As a Goblin I managed to grab a free Ride feat from Rough Rider, and I even gave him some Bonded animal feats for funsies and profit. The only real thing I couldn't create exactly was his spirited charge or Ride by attacks. Instead what I opt to do as GM is him using one of his actions to command the gecko to Stride. Then while the gecko runs by, the chief uses his Swipe to try to attack multiple party members and he can hope to get out without nary a scratch. He also has a lot more HP than his 1e counterpart, but kind of weak attacks. Finally, if his Gecko is brought down, he can still do his charges into the fray and attacking the hero party. He fights to the death. ![]()
![]() I do plan on converting RotR into 2e, and I've decided to work on NPCs. The way I'm working on converting them is by using their CR instead of the regular levels to do so. I've having a time with Ven Vender, so instead I've decided to start with Tsuto. I'll publish more when I get the chance to make more but for now it's just Tsuto. Tsuto Kaijitsu
So I decided not to grab the Rogue dedication feat, because one of the stances, Wolf Stance, does exactly what his strategy is. He'll take an action to get into Wolf Stance and use his goblin minions to get backstab for his wolf strikes. He'll also use his high acrobatics skill to dance around the battlefield, tumbling around to make sure reactions won't be used against him. In addition, when against a group of spellcasters, he'll use his Flurry of Blows to use Stunning fist on them to ensure they don't use their more powerful magics. Much like his 1e counterpart, he will attempt to run away if his HP reaches 10 (instead of 8) or if all the goblins are dead. I ended up not giving him the Bracers of Armor to replace his +1 ring of protection since those are such high level items while in a low level setting currently.

![]() I've been having a lot of trouble trying to change my payment method from my old card to my new card. My new card is on file and everything, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to transition it over. the only thing I have is "Try again under this card" or something like that, which in turn means I can't pay for my own subscription. ![]()
![]() okay, so this is more of a slight annoyance than anything else, but using the OOC in brackets [] act really weird when using the return button. The other tags will continue downward when you hit Return this is An example of that however, OOC tags don't follow these rules. instead the first line gets OOC'd but after you hit Return it stops doing ooc even after you have the tags after that line As you can see with this picture, I used the preview to show exactly what I did. https://image.prntscr.com/image/1Kz0IfFKQuyB_T_-4xAs-g.png Again, this is more of an annoyance than anything else, and likely isn't high priority. ![]()
![]() Quote: a guy who turns into electricity... not yet, that's not till I get Level 3. :P Which won't happen for a long time (I did build it and it's gonna take 70 pp alone, in addition I do plan on upgrading my character, so it'll take even longer than that) I most likely won't get it in this campaign whatsoever. ![]()
![]() Well, here's what I had in mind. When in Level One (his default form), when Shu wants to activate Machine Control, he sends CICADA into the machine, usually in the form of pointing but sometimes, if haste is needed or he's feeling impatient with CICADA, Shu can throw him like a baseball. If the fusion is successful, the machine generates an electrical aura shows around the machine more towards the top, looking kind of like spiked up Vegeta hair. In Level Two (when the two are now considered the same being), Shu generates a ball of lightning and directs it towards the machine. It generates the same aura as before, and he can still hear the voice of the machine. ![]()
![]() So I'll be honest, I had completely forgotten about Alternative Effects and how they can be used to use the same points for something else. So I redid my character sheet slightly. I also hated how I didn't have any expertise skills so I added a couple too. Shu Q. Megami was born under a scientist and a doctor. They had high hopes for him, especially when his Quirk manefested into CICADA. Though Shu would rather do things the easy way than the right way, which is a complete opposite of CICADA who has a bigger set of morals and moral code. Because of this, both of them tend to bicker a lot.

![]() Oh crap, I forgot the "you can't edit a post after a set time" rule well here's my character. Born on the aquatic Bretheda moon, Kalo-Mahoi, Valorus was always surrounded by wondrous technologies. He loved seeing all of the new items created by the inhabitants and visitors alike. His small swarm worked on their own items as well, and one of them, his host parent, was a technomancer. Seeing the fascination in Valorus's eyes...mandibles, whatever, they taught him about the secrets of technology and magic, specifically the link between the two. This planet, however, started to feel limiting in a sense, so Valorus made a decision, one that he still loves, he wants to travel the galaxy, nay the entire universe to learn about all the different races and technologies. Maybe he himself could become a pioneer within it as well. After saying his goodbyes to his family, his mother, his father, his host, and his siblings, he took towards Absalom station to become a space pioneer, so to speak, with the Starfinder Society. Communalism: Shirrens are used to working with others as part of a team. Once per day, as long as an ally is within 10 feet, a shirren can reroll a single attack roll or skill check twice and take the higher result. Cultural Fascination: Shirrens are eager to learn about new cultures and societies. Shirren receive a +2 racial bonus all Culture and Diplomacy checks. Limited Telepathy: Shirrens can communicate telepathically with any creatures within 30 feet with whom they share a language. Conversing telepathically with multiple creatures simultaneously is just as difficult as listening to multiple people speak. Spell Cache (SU): As the culmination of your early study of the fundamental forces of the galaxy, you have created a spell cache that allows you to store and access spells. Your spell cache could be a device such as a handheld computer or a technological implant; an item such as a ring or staff; or a symbol such as a brand, tattoo, or other permanent modification to your body. While you don’t need your spell cache to cast your spells, one per day you can activate your spell cache to cast any one spell you know and are capable of casting, even if you expended all your spell slots for that spell’s level. If your spell cache is damage, it is restored to full Hit Points the next time you prepare spells. If the spell Cache is lost of destroyed, you can replace it after 1 week with a special ritual that takes 8 hours to complete. --------------------

![]() I'm definitely submitting a character. I have been wanting play this for a long time, though I'll have to make a new character since the one I made was a Shirren Spacefarer Mechanic, and we already have a mechanic made. So, instead I'm making a Shirren Technomancer. I'll edit this post in a minute, I just want to get my foot through the door. ![]()
![]() Right now we finished Battle of Bloodmarch Hill and here's the party as follows: Maridia, the Undine Cleric of Pharasma 4
I even have an image for the end of one of the best fights they had. ![]()
![]() Okay, so I know the Titan Fighter is allowed to use one size category two handed weapons with a -4 penalty, but my question is are they allowed to use 1 Handed weapons of a size category two sizes larger since a creature one size larger can wield it as a two handed weapon? Same question for a Light weapon 3 size categories higher. ![]()
![]() This is more of a clarification. So I was looking through the implements section for the Occultist and I was wondering something. On the mental focus portion of the Occultist, there are these two sentences that I have to ask about: "If a resonant power grants a bonus that varies based on the amount of mental focus invested in the implement, the bonus is determined when the focus is invested, and is not reduced or altered by expending the mental focus invested in the item. Once all of the mental focus in an implement has been expended, it loses its resonant power until mental focus is once again invested in the implement." Say I take the Transmutation implement with the Physical Enhancement and invest 3 Mental points into my weapon. Then throughout the session I end up spending all 3 mental points, does this mean I lose the benefit of Physical Enhancement when I spent all 3 points, or the next time I need to focus the next day? ![]()
![]() I feel bad for having all these questions, but I have them. Even if I'm not trained in it, could I make a Performance check for a Day Job check if I'm not trained in either Craft or a Profession either? Reason why I ask is because Performance is a skill that normally can go untrained. Although some of them do require items, like (Keyboard) or (Percussion) ![]()
![]() This one has to do with the "Items found during this scenario" segment. Are items found on it considered similar to the "Always Available" limitation like on most other items, or do they still fall under the same limitations as magic items in terms of fame? I ask because there's a wand I kinda want to buy but I'm a level 1 character with only a fame of 1. ![]()
![]() This is going to sound very stupid, I know, but this is a question I've been kinda wondering. What do we do about chronicle sheets for scenarios that we do online? Does the GM provide them digitally and we can print them off or what exactly? Sorry about this, I know the answer might seem obvious but I'd rather be safe than sorry. |
