IIRC only Paizo can host PFS/SFS games at GenCon.

So, to my knowledge, any official GenCon games of PFS/SFS, must be ticketed and jump through all of the respective hoops. However, if you wanted to run a PFS/SFS on your own, while in a free play space at/near GenCon, you can do so as long as it is not claimed to be a GenCon game. This means that it would not benefit from a boosted AcP. It would be the same way of reporting as if you had run a PFS/SFS in some random place somewhere.

I hope that made sense.

This says it all. But the other question is, do other companies do the same thing? Or is Wizards of the Coast and other companies always run by an individual rather through a program like ours?

Depends on their contracts with GenCon, you'd have to ask GenCon/Wizards etc.

An FLGS has opened up by the house and the owner has asked if I would be willing to run PFS 2E. I have several characters and so have played several non-repeatable scenarios and bounties.

What happens if I run one of these and already have the DM credit and the game is not a repeatable scenario?

You get credit for the table, just not another GM Chronicle.

That is, both AcP and table credits towards Glyphs.

Okay!
How many run tables for a glyph?

10 for your first one, but it scales up.

Don't you have a few already?

Y, but IIRC the total is not stagnant but incremebtal.

10-20-30-40-50 for your 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th glyphs respectively. Added all up, by the time you get your 5th Glyph, you should have at least 150 table credits.

5th glyph has extra requirements:

10 scenarios w/ the Glyph marking (e.g. Specials and high level adventures)
2-3 formal evaluations by a Venture-Captain (or a Paizo employee IIRC)

You also need to run and reported a total of 50 unique scenarios.

I think you might have been a little too math-y for the average reader.

PFS Guide wrote:

1 Glyph = 10 GM credits
2 Glyphs = 30 GM credits
3 Glyphs = 60 GM credits
4 Glyphs = 100 GM credits

To earn 5 glyphs, a GM must fulfill the following criteria:

Earn 150 GM credits
Run and report 50 unique adventures
Run and report 10 adventures with the Exclusive or Glyph tag. With the exception of multi-table interactives, a particular scenario can earn credit for a maximum of 3 of those 10.
Complete 3 evaluation games in the presence of a Qualified Evaluator (A venture-captain, regional venture-coordinator, or Paizo Organized Play staffer) using the Organized Play rubric.

I like math.

As for ACP, I've noticed, lately, that ACP doesn't seem to be given out when a non-repeatable session is GMed twice - at least not according to my spreadsheet. I'm not sure if that's a Paizo 'bug' or what, but that is what is appearing to happen. So if your ACP totals have dropped a bit in the last few months, that may be why.

AcP has changed for me, but for the better. I've been getting AcP for all my non-repeatable GMs, and it's in line with expectation. As a matter of fact, they've fixed several bugs, and my AcP has gone from being within 10% of my expected (which was tolerable) to right on expectation (which is obviously fantastic).

All my Reputation is completely out of whack, though. It used to be within 10% of expected, but now it's like +/- 30%.

This is a known bug and is in queue to be fixed

Closing Weekend!

Okay GMs, this is the closing weekend for Outpost. Most of you have already wrapped up your games and reported by now (great job, by the way), but we still have about 30 games still going. Please wrap these up as soon as possible so your players can get ready for the next adventure.

Even if it looks like you won’t finish the gameplay by May 15 we are asking you to go ahead and report your games by the deadline so that we can finish up the admin stuff and close out the convention before Paizocon. Please help us by getting these last few games reported. Thanks again for stepping up to run games. It is greatly appreciated!

:)

Say, I want to be a GM for pbp's here and in a discord group. The FAQ says "Communicate with your local event coordinator", who would that be? Is it one for each venue? Just one and that's it?

Ty!

@VoidCL,

The slideshow called PbP Lodges and Guides has information on the lodges.

If you just want to GM a PbP here on the Paizo forums, all you really have to do is create an event for your games, create a campaign, and then post to Recruitment here for Pathfinder 2nd edition or one of the other places listed in the slideshow for Starfinder or first edition.

Horizon Hunters

Thanks!

I am being threatened with ‘fun through PFS 2e’ by a hardworking Online VO, who shall remain nameless :)

Going back over my records I can find Chronicle sheets for two low tier games I played with the excellent GM Doug Hahn.

Unfortunately, I’m coming up short on two others, for which I have the full details. (They were both reported on paizo.com)

Is it possible for a VO to recreate the Chronicle sheets? I can PM the details if the answer is yes.

Yes, they can be reconstructed if needed, but that's definitely not the first choice. The first thing to try would be to see if the GM still has the chronicle sheet.

Hey this is a nerdy GM question. I am considering the possibility of creating a 8.5x11 slide show so that I can have maps glued to the background for a slide show involving one of the specials. For people who have done this, has anyone created spell templates that work with the longer slides?

Has anyone ever made a list of the rare and uncommon options available then worked out what is required to access them? If so, where can I find it?

Also I notice there is an ACP boon that allows access to items such as the Dusty Rose Aeon Stone. I thought that all PFS characters had access to that? Am I wrong so should all my PCs who don't have that on a Chronicle Sheet need to purchase that Boon?

I do not know of any comprehensive list giving access to Uncommon or rare options. The closest thing is the boons in the Organized Play area that lists things like Esoteric Spellcaster.

Yes, as long as you own Lost Omens Pathfinder Society Guide you have access to the Aeon Stones on pg 120 of that book, one of which is the Dusty Rose Prism.

Character Options for that book says:

Quote:

Rarity and Access Adjustments

Items: Characters from the High Seas have access to the boarding pike and combat grapnel (page 81).
All characters have access to the everyneed pack (page 85).
As stated in the section introduction, all characters have access to the magic items in the Magic Items section on page 117, as well as the items, familiars and spells on pages 120-121.

I believe the chronicle that also gives access to that Aeon Stone is from a scenario that preceded the current Character Options text. There are other cases where there are multiple ways to get access to something.

I'm saving the 9-12s until my 10th level character gets to 11. Otherwise, Quinoline would be joining for both 3-15 and 4-15.

Hey all, I have some bad news.

A lot of you know, have played with or had RVC Jack Brown (Silbeg) as a GM. He recently underwent open heart surgery. While recovering he suffered from a hemorrhagic stroke.

More details are in the links below but Jack has been a staple to our online and in person community. Please offer up some kind words or encouragement and any donations to help his family out in their difficult time of need.

We have a few local folks from the RPG Community visiting him each day and reading your kind words to him. He can definitely use it right now.
