Sorry about missing your turn, Auryl. Just had a >.< day at work. Like trying to prove how some panadols that we bought had 4 months till expiry(the vendor was asking me what panadols, I was like dude, check your emails I sent you the product code and a picture showing the short expiry), and my outlook was taking hours to load while someone was chasing after me for archive stuff(which requires me to look at outlook). When I finally opened my mailbox(after getting fed up), using Office 365, I found quite some emails waiting for me to respond to. Then there was this door I was complaining that I had to kick open, and I sent a picture of the fault to building maintenance just to get building maintenance complain they couldn't see the picture(I bet its my outlook issue again).
Then my BF was suddenly asking me to get Gold Class tickets for Avengers End game...I was like what the heck? That stuff is overpriced!
Not that we could anyway - since all the tickets are already sold out.

Garrosh Saurfang |

Wow... That is a FULL day!
On my end, it is bank holiday PLUS I busted up one of my knees bad while cycling so... Just lying on the couch for me today...
As for your Office 365 issues, I know some people do not like it, and I admit Outlook is very practical, but when you are having problems with the software itself, you can always access your emails online via the Office 365 page - it is a useful workaround in many cases. Just a tip from your friendly neighborhood IT guy :D
Avengers End Game yep - I am looking forward to that one ;)
What is a Gold Class ticket?

![]() |

Garrosh - uh what happened to your knee? Is it just bruised or did you tear something?
I used office 365 - the problem is that the layout is very user unfriendly, and the thing is I was trying to dig the archives so I added to the favorites list the necessary folder, only to run into the "we could not add this folder error". Turns out I already added it but needed to log in and out. Also I couldn't do a proper search from office 365 due to its unfriendly layout. Yeah, I know, I'm finicky. Also, when I took a photo of the door, I took it from my handphone, sent it to my mailbox, then picked it up using office 365, and sent it to the building maintenance, who said that the attachment I sent had an error >.<
Gold class. A standard ticket costs $13.50 while a gold class one costs $32...
"Watch your favourite films while relaxing on Nappa leather-clad recliners. Enjoy sumptuous meals from our varied menu, specially-curated and prepared by our Gold Class® Chef. We also offer an extensive and regularly updated list of high-quality wines such as Woodlands Wilyabrup Valley Chardonnay, Castellare Di Castellina Chianti Classico DOCG, Domaine Chanson Le Bourgogne Pinot Noir, Stark-Conde The Field Blend and Watershed Senses Shiraz."
I think the last time I went gold class, I enjoyed the wraps, but I'm not drinking all that stuff since you have to pay separately and alcohol is expensive here.
I feel better now but that's because I just did a night workout...ooof.

I’m packing for the coca cola no sugar carnival on Sentosa tomorrow. Since I need to finish 6 game stations in the time limit of 11 am to 6.30 pm, I’ve decided that I won’t stop for lunch (since food on Sentosa is pricy and I may be short of time). I’ve packed 100g of cashew nuts, 4 shortbread fingers, four pork floss sticks, for lunch. That’s about 1287 calories worth of food and about 54 g of protein in the mix(which is technically sufficient to last me an entire day – since I’m a small bit). If the stations in question happen to be spread throughout the beach, I have no qualms running from one station to another if need be, even if in the morning I will have already run 5 km even before the carnival.
I may also go and peek at the Spartan kids being run near the mall (though I’ll have to walk all the way there after my run).
Likely I will have my fruits during breakfast, though there’s an option of bringing a mandarin orange or two around, I just don’t want to have to look for a dustbin to dump the peel in(though it won’t really be hard).
Gosh, this is a little gross.

Garrosh Saurfang |

Hahaha, they're not gross - they are really cool! :D
I wish I could be as organized as you Mort - I have been trying over the years, and actually think I have improved much, but nothing close to what you have going there.
My knee... I honestly do not know. I think I strained it while cycling about three or four days ago - I felt some pain, but nothing dramatic. Two days ago I could walk up and down stairs, but during the night it worsened considerably. The pain got really hard, enough to not let me sleep.
I started taking anti-inflammatory yesterday and it immediately improved. But the knee is swollen, and any movement which implies using the knee muscles is painful as heck, if I can make it at all.
I'm praying for no tear. Hopefully just a strain...

GM Mort |

Try an ice pack? My aunt swears by Glucosamine supplements for joint issues.
The other day I had foot aches(I think I landed not quite correctly when doing a burpee) so I skipped the jump portion of the workouts and the stair climbing.
I also had a knee that would ache if I changed direction too suddenly a few weeks back but it's fine now.
And my back is midly protesting about me putting it through a 80 lb deadlift(I usually do 60 lbs), but I'm pretty sure it's temporary.
Have you seen a doctor about it yet?

Garrosh Saurfang |

Yeah, been putting ice on it 2-3 times a day, but it kinda bores me :P
Haven't seen the doctor no - hoping I don't have to. We'll see...

Piotr Tataru |

LADY FINGERS! My wife has made those for Halloween before. Very yummy, and you get to pretend your a cannibal! Great combination :)

GM Mort |

I was following the Spartan race course at the edge and hauled myself over a road divider to get to the park because the Spartans were using the bridge. Later when I get wireless connection and time to, I will upload the obstacles. Currently running off to Sentosa for the coca cola no sugar carnival, where cheap@ss me will probably walk all the way there from HarbourFront to save the monorail fee. Will get there a little late but an extra walk won't hurt me.

![]() |

Spartan obstacles:
Also I ran along the beach road 5.6 km total carrying a sling bag with water and food in it, to the various gamestations, so I'm now red like a lobster and pretty flat.
Ah! I figured out why it took me 1.5h to cover 5.6km, it was all that queueing at game stations!

Piotr Tataru |

That look horrible! Cool, but horrible!

![]() |

Climbing rocks and lifting weights, so activity will be suspect.

GM Mort |

Anyway... Here's some pics:
My first non auto belay up an easy wall
Yes I know I was rather sloppy on the footwork as I just pulled myself up since I could...
I also did purple route up, brown route up for 2 walls I had gotten up earlier - the route difficulty is 5c.

Piotr Tataru |

Good Work Mort. :) Yard work is my mountain to climb today. Grass and weeds, a never ending chore, but it gets me outside, since people keep telling me the sun is not an evil god intent on my destruction.

Kilarra Dimir |

Why aren't sun gods considered evil in very hot climates?

Piotr Tataru |

Good question.

GM Mort |

They aren't evil. We should all praise the sun!
Eh seriously I have better heat resistance then most. Walking under the noonday sun doesn't bother me any, running would start to bother me, but I can still manage it if I go slow.

GM Mort |

Are you sensitive to heat or light, Piotr? I have light sensitivity, transition lenses have made my life waaay better. I can do bird watching now!

Piotr Tataru |

I acknowledge it is a needed thing for us all to be alive... but that is all I can agree with :)
It is too bright. It hurts my cave dwelling eyes. Not like the nice warm glow of a computer monitor.

GM Mort |

You need to enlist your kids to help!

.
Use sunglasses and a hat if you aren't the wearing glasses type. It helps make the sun more bearable.

Garrosh Saurfang |

Sun is Life! Add a sandy beach, a sea to dive in, and an alcoholic lime based drink, and you are good to go! :D
Now yard work on the other hand... I've done a lot of it at my parent's house when I still lived with them some long years ago, though it was never a source of 'happiness' per se.
However, now that I've grown older and wiser, I am again pondering finding a house with at least a small/medium outdoor area - it is great for the kids, eating/having drinks outside, etc. I just don't want something that will make me go nuts whenever I have to trim the fences, or pull the weeds :P

Kilarra Dimir |

I have some sunlight sensitivity. Transition glasses work too slowly for me, so I use full sunglasses. I can be blinded in overcast conditions. Unfortunately I didn't gain low light vision either.
I'm a very urban kind of person, so I'm 100% okay with living in a small condo without much greenery. I've never been interested in growing things.
I have cold resistance, but a weakness to any heat. My summers can reach 30-40C (which I hate), but there's no humidity so we can just sweat it out.

Garrosh Saurfang |

Yeah, I'm no fan of heat neither in my daily life.
Heat is for when I can put on my flip flops and be close to a large body of water :D
Otherwise I prefer a comfortable 'cool' or even outright cold

GM Mort |

Meh I like the great outdoors, and I think your sunlight sensitivity is worse then mine. I can handle overcast skies. Just not sunny ones. I like the great outdoors but have brown paws so I don't do a good job growing stuff.
I have heat resistance, vulnerability to cold. What counts for cool or outright cold will make me go into hibernation mode and huddle under blankets, refusing to get out.

Piotr Tataru |

Watching the ocean is lovely but from a balcony away from the horrid even thing and sand. And seafood!
Brown paws? Is that the opposite of a green thumb. I grow weeds great! Even with yard work, having a yard is nice. Makes owning a dog easier if nothing else.
And that is the Beauty of cold Mort! Huddling under covers is great, layering, coats, toboggans! Heat makes me wear less and NO ONE wants that. :)
We have humidity here, Treasure. Summer like a like walking out into soup on days.

The 10KM Competitive Cashback Run gives you the chance to win Meiji Cashback Vouchers depending on the timings you hit. So whether you are an aspiring marathoner looking to clock your best time or someone who’s already bagged multiple marathon medals, have a go at this race to win cashback vouchers that can be used at the Meiji Fair during the event’s weekend for discounted snacks.
The cashback vouchers are as follows:
Below 60mins - $10
Below 50mins - $20
Below 40mins - $50
But I'll tell you below 60 min is already not that easy - Fort Siloso area is hilly. Palawan is ok for running, np. My timing for 10 km is 1h 12 min (but terrain was completely flat). I wonder if I can actually shave off 12 min off that timing to even get cashback vouchers, between now and end June.

Piotr Tataru |

Running 10km in JUNE!!! I like snacks as well as the next person, but dying to get them...
Good luck Mort!

GM Mort |

Oh I should be able to finish the distance(though the time of the day is 3.30 pm which is a bad time for running, and also the terrain is harsher then I am used to.) It's whether I can qualify for the cashback vouchers that is a question.
The funny thing is I'll probably end up getting chocolate milk or standard meiji milk from the vouchers because all that clean eating means no snacks lol.

Piotr Tataru |

no snacks... Mort... WHY?!?

GM Mort |

Because in my quest for getting my body fat percentage to 15-17% and do a pull up, I have eschewed snacks. Besides knowing that snacks were engineered to make you want to eat more of them is quite the downer, isn't it?

Garrosh Saurfang |

I would love to eschew snacks, but then what would I have to eat along my gin and tonic? :P

![]() |

Actually if you really want to cut calories, the calorific drinks have to go. Which means no Coke or alcoholic beverages... And I haven't done any drinking for at least a month...
Not that I drink very much in the first place.
Anyway to go with your gin and tonic you could get carrot sticks? Or boiled Lotus roots?
If you need something salty go for the boiled chickpeas.

Garrosh Saurfang |

Salted Peanuts? :D

GM Mort |

Peanuts aren't too bad, just a bit too high on fat content for my taste. I'm camping at my aunts place for 2 weeks after my mom was saying "What, 5.30 am in the morning for exercise?" So I'll take the opportunity to clean up my diet more. Like I forsee tau kwa, chicken breast meat and cauliflowers in the future.

Garrosh Saurfang |

Have eaten some tofu dishes before which were actually good, but usually it feels kinda bland to me.
You were exercising at 05:30 in the morning at home? :D

Piotr Tataru |

I decided long ago Tofu was truly an alien entity that could mind control you if you ingested it.
I do know it really isn't harvested from an astroid that crashed on earth in prehistoric times but is truly bean curd. But once you come up with a ridiculous story like that you are kind of obligated to defend it all your life by not eating it.

GM Mort |

Have eaten some tofu dishes before which were actually good, but usually it feels kinda bland to me.

Sometimes I do. Or I go to the gym and lift weights.
Seriously, no biggie, my aunt wakes up at 4.30 am, does her morning exercise routine before going to my cousin's place to help babysit.
Try the fried(or at least baked) Tau kwa once its seasoned with salt. It has some resemblances with jerky. And once you add thai chilli sauce on it, slurp!

GM Mort |

Just climbed 80 storeys - with a 3 min break for the lift to bring me down at the 40th storey. Checking what my baseline fitness level is in preparation for a Mount Fuji climb

Garrosh Saurfang |

Is it high enough to cause altitude breathing issues?
Also, do you mean you climbed 80 flights of stairs? :O

GM Mort |

80 flights of stairs. Just as a physical fitness check. Yes I can do that if I want to...
No on altitude because the building is only 40 storeys high. So 120-160m?

Garrosh Saurfang |

I meant Mount Fuji for the altitude thing :D
(Don't think I can climb 80 flights of stairs...)

GM Mort |

Yes for Mount Fuji but in Singapore there is no place to train for altitude so 80 flights of stairs is as good as I get. The fun starts when you put on a 15 kg backpack and try to haul booty up those stairs.

Caraid |

That's good. But 3 is where I need to be! Precise shot, oh dear god let me get Precise Shot!

Garrosh Saurfang |

Level 2! Wohooo!! :D

Garrosh Saurfang |

Updated Garrosh - still need to decide on one spell, and that's probably it.
