About Aaron Shanks
Aaron Shanks has spent twenty years working for economic development and arts nonprofits. In 2015, he joined the world of entrepreneurs when he founded Shanks Creative LLC, a marketing and communications consulting company.
Mr. Shanks played many roles from Loan Packager to Marketing Genius. He has supported sales teams, managed multi-channel marketing campaigns, public relations, government relations, and event management. He was deeply involved in organizing and operating regional and national industry conferences.
He joined Paizo Inc. as Public Relations Manager, in 2018. He has been playing roleplaying games since the age of 10. He has been in a player in a home brew game for over 25 years.
As a volunteer small business advisor for Ventures, a nonprofit organization, Aaron Shanks has helped empower individuals with limited resources and unlimited potential to improve their lives through small business ownership.
As a professional performer and a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association, the stage actors’ union, Aaron Shanks has performed in plays, musicals, operas, concerts, and cabarets for over 30 years.
As a Board Member of Showtunes Theatre Company Mr. Shanks helped promote and produce rarely performed gems of the musical theatre canon. He served as the Finance and Development Chair.
Born and raised in Washington State, within view of Mt. Rainier, Mr. Shanks holds Bachelor of Business Administration/Marketing and Bachelor of Arts in Music degrees from Western Washington University. He lives with his domestic partner, Michael Fearnehough, the founder of MBF Productions and Cascadia Emergency Management, in a very entrepreneurial household.
