I got to cast fireball, so I'm happy. It's only like the 3rd one I've cast in all my time playing Pathfinder, including the one I cast from a scroll earlier.
I don't know if anything will ever top the feeling of level 6 here, where I've got 4 spell slots that I can only use to cast fireball.

I worry for the dear cleric's welfare if we turn him over to Sapphira and I don't think Narthropple will give a damn, so Garess would be best. I'm sure Sapphira will keep an eye on him anyway.

Since she can turn him to stone with her gaze, he would be very easy to know where he would be at all time. ;)

I just watched the first episode of Moon Knight, so my characterization of Bokken is probably being influenced by Oscar Isaac's performance as Steven Grant. Of course, the AP describes Bokken's mannerisms as that of a nervous bird or jittery child, so it's not too far from the mark.

Vayelan, question: I recently came across Bloodline Mutations, which I was not aware of when I originally made Syretia. When we reach level 7, I plan to replace my bloodline feat with Blood Intensity, but I was wondering if it would also be possible (either now or at level 7) to replace my 1st-level bloodline power (Arcane Bolt) with Blood Havoc.

I've updated the encounter map.
Even though Fort Serenko is a wooden fort, I had to settle for a battlemap of a stone fort. I had considered creating a custom map, but I've been short on time since I've been looking after my daughter while we've both been home sick the past couple days.
Anyhow, the section of the fort that has been sectioned off with brown lines represents the intact tower where the party, Oluff, and the children are currently taking shelter. The rest of the fort's buildings are demolished and count as difficult terrain.
The white squares and rectangles represent traversable gaps in the wall.
Definitely not my best work, but I hope this provides a good point of reference for the scene.

They are to be trusted as friends. If trouble should find you before you reach Charis...seek them out and they will aid you. Take this and show it to them as a token of my trust.
The mercenary reaches into his pack and pulls for a cloth. The same cloth that they gave to Christian as a token of friendship.
