@Syretia - Did your attack and confirmation rolls for the Snowball spell include the +1 attack bonus for the Haste you cast on the party?
With the +2 bonus provided by Lord Christian's challenge, that extra +1 from Haste would be just enough to confirm the crit.

It does, unfortunately, though I forgot about the +2 from his challenge ability.
I really wish Bydar's spell would have worked because that would have been a very dramatic way to stop her dance and free Brandt and Christian from her influence. Unfortunately, she rolled a Nat 20 for her Will Save.

I would have loved it, but I do find it fitting that dwarven pragmatism and aim solves the problem! :)

should we bot and move forward?
@Orlog: As a quickling, Rigg has a base speed of 120 ft. Putting aside the fact that the difficult terrain in the courtyard is slowing down both of you, even with Haste you won't be catching him in one round, unfortunately.

Ugh, I really am not trying to be such a drag here.
Hmm...this is an interesting situation. I don't know if there's a clear answer on what might block the baobhan sith's Dying Words ability.
Here is the ability's exact wording:
When a baobhan sith is slain, she utters a curse as a free action (whether it’s her turn or not) that affects her killer as if it were a bestow curse spell (caster level 10th). The target can resist the curse with a successful DC 19 Will save. If the save fails, the target suffers a –6 decrease to its highest ability score. The save DC is Charisma-based.
If you just leave her gagged, I'll say that she needs to make a caster check to try to bestow her curse.
If you cast lipstitch on her, and she fails her fort save against it, then I will say that she is entirely prevented from bestowing her curse.

My opinion here....
The key word will be "Utters"
meaning to give audible expression.
So she is unconscious then she definitely cannot utter her curse.
Gaged would be still a possibility but severe penalties.
Lipstitch would work if she fails her save.
That is my take on it.
Would a remove curse spell cure this affliction?
Male Dwarf Forgepriest 7 | hp 68 | AC25 T11 FF 24 | CMD 16 | F +9 R +3 W +9 | Spd 20' | Init +5 | Perception +14
If we are going by stats alone, I would be the best one to do it. Got a +9 on will and and extra +4 versus spells and spell-like ability.
Remove curse is a level 3 spells. Both Bydar and me can cast it.

If we have the spells to remove the affliction, then it does not matter who issues the killing blow.
Christian would defiantly be keen on taking this responsibility on himself and be opposed to anyone else taking it. He feels he should protect his friends from harm as would his Order want him to.
You ever finish writing a very long post, hit Control+C just to be safe, have the page crash and not upload the post, then when you Control+V to restore what you wrote, something else entirely gets pasted, confirming that you did indeed lose everything?
I am not a happy gamemaster right now.

nooooooo, I typically write in google docs for that very reason, so I just paste it into the gameplay thread when I'm GMing a game.

I try to copy before I hit submit as the site tend to time out on me.
Are you escorting Eutropia and Martella back to Charis, or are you heading elsewhere first?
Also, did one of you guys want to add the new items to the loot spreadsheet, or should I take care of that?
Male HP:72/72 AC:20 T:15 FF:14 F:+6 R:+5 W:+4 Perc:+11 Init:+5 Bastard Sword +12, 1d10+3 CMB:+10 CMD:+20 Human Cavalier 7 (Daring Champion)
I will take care of it.
We are finishing up the area first.
There is the rest of the towers to explore and a Teo and a dog to find. We need to clear out whatever creature is in the one tower.
So I am thinking they will tag along as we clear out the rest of this place.
An important notice to all my games:
First off, I would like to apologize for putting off this announcement until the last minute.
My wife and I will soon be welcoming our second child into the world. We will be going to the hospital on Monday, July 31, to begin the induction process. This will be, obviously, a very hectic time for me, so my ability to post will be quite compromised.
I will bring a laptop with me to the hospital, so it will be possible for me to update games during rare moments of quiet.
However, I cannot guarantee that this will be consistent.
Thank you all for your patience and understanding.

thanks Christian, from what I'm told, we (East) are in a 'target-rich environment' It'll be fun no matter what!
Shall we complete another kingdom turn before moving on to new encounters and adventures?
Any suggestions or requests for expansion, construction, or improvements?
Male Human Cleric 7 (HP 42/51 ;AC16,T11,FF15; F+8,R+5,W+11; Init +1; Perc +4){Effects:none}
I believe we MIGHT have enough BPs coming up for that Academy with the Double Discount!
Male HP:72/72 AC:20 T:15 FF:14 F:+6 R:+5 W:+4 Perc:+11 Init:+5 Bastard Sword +12, 1d10+3 CMB:+10 CMD:+20 Human Cavalier 7 (Daring Champion)
It has been a while since we did one.
Do we have the points for the academy?
With the discounts for building inside the labyrinth beneath Charis and using the subsidy from House Medvyed, building an Academy would cost 13 BP, and after paying the month's consumption cost, you will have 26 BP available in your treasury.
Male Human Cleric 7 (HP 42/51 ;AC16,T11,FF15; F+8,R+5,W+11; Init +1; Perc +4){Effects:none}
So 13 for the Academy, 13 for other stuff. That sounds fantastic! And , setting wise, it might be a shot in the arm for putting Charis on the map.
It would grant Lore +2, Productivity +1, Society +2; increase Lore bonus by 2 for questions relating to one Knowledge or Profession skill.
As Syretia is Magister, I would imagine which knowledge or profession in particular would be chiefly up to her.
Bydar will be giddy making fancy sculptures as part of its design, perhaps artistic cuneiform on walls shaped like tablets or bears (Given the sponsor house that is paying a large part for it) or whatever folks prefer.

Corruption increase: 1d4 ⇒ 3
Also let me know if you want to claim a new hex or build any terrain improvements this turn.
You can also build a house or tenement in addition to the academy.
When I get a chance, I'm also going to update the kingdom and settlement tracker to include the underground district that now includes the academy.

Hope that bit with the sculpture checks was okay with everyone. I keep forgetting to put the skill to use.
Obviously, Syretia can nix things ICly
Okay, I've overhauled the Kingdom Tracker Spreadsheet using a template I've adopted for other Kingmaker games. The tab for the capital also includes a link for an updated districts map for the settlement that includes maps for both the surface and underground districts.
I've also added the details for the newly claimed hex and built roads into the spreadsheet and kingdom map.

Looking through the loot, I sold some of the non magical small gear and the large axe. I exchange, we all get 433 gold. It is not much, but some of us could get some gear upgrade.
Don't forget that Orlog can make weapons and armors if you don't want to pay premium.

Cool, Brandt doesn't have enough cash at this moment, but he'll be hitting up to enchant his father's axe and his armor at some point. Should we put party funds into grabbing the headband of inspired wisdom +2? I'm sure it could benefit Bydar or Orlog in the immediate future...

Lately it seems like a quarter of my rolls are nat ones online
With Lord Christian asking the iruxi about "the boy," I'm assuming that he's referring to Tig Tannersen, who disappearance is a side quest in the default Kingmaker AP.
I don't remember setting up that side quest, and doing a search of prior posts doesn't turn up any discussion of finding the boy, so I just want to clarify the matter before we continue.
Do you guys want to assume that, retroactively, you had learned about the missing boy before leaving Charis on this expedition?

Hey everyone,
Still alive! I've been struggling with a major depressive phase coupled with some actually bad stuff going on IRL.
