A win is a win and we'll write what we want! Not like the cultists are going to say anything about it ;)

Bydar |

Okay. Everyone got 25 hit points back as of this post, and Orlog has 2 Con restored. I think our Dragon friend might still be wounded after that. Anyone else?
Channeling, the Group hug your cleric inflicts on you whether you like it or not ;P

Unless Booker starts using his Shocking Grasp to reanimate one of them like he's Giovanni Aldini.

Booker Marmilade |

Damn, that's creepy as hell!
EDIT: I'm certain I'm being dense, but I can't find the map for the lair! Regardless, what's our battle plan? Booker would like to sneak again, if possible. He'll be holding his wand of Scorching Ray again and another scroll of Vanish (CL 2). ALL THE SNEAK ATTACKS!

The link to the map is on your current campaign page. Saga of a New Land campaign.
Under the Map section and
Just above the resources section.
We will know more about our situation as we get closer.
The idea was to come in from a different direction to flank them.

I'm really sorry about the disappearing act, everyone. Got my second dose last Wednesday, and it took me out. I had just incredible fatigue and wound up sleeping through almost my entire weekend. Was so tired I could barely even focus my eyes to read things.

that's what I hear too. the first one isn't too bad, the second can knock you for a loop. I'm getting my second one in Early May so, I maybe going through the same.
Glad you're on the recovery.

Very understandable. I got my first shot yesterday. I went home and slept for about 12 hours.
I'm working on catching up on my posts now.

Syretia |

Vayelan, you're really giving me a chance to cut loose with my spellcasting characters lately! Definitely a change of pace from when my swashbuckler is carving up the bad guys. :)

Lord Christian D'Elagante |

I was reading over my last post and I found it to be a bit snippy. It was not meant to be. I was tired and did post exactly how I wanted to post. Note to self...stop working 12 hours days. lol

No worries. I hope you've managed to get some rest.

An important update for all my games:
My apologies for putting off this announcement, but my wife and I will be welcoming our first child into the world next week.
This means that my ability to post next week will be very erratic starting on Monday. Once the three of us are home from the hospital, I will do my best to maintain regular posting. I will home for a few weeks on paternity leave, so that should hopefully give me opportunity to post.

So it looks like we have: Cloak of Resistance +1, Ring of Protection +1, Pearl of Power (1st level), and Headband of Inspired Wisdom +2, Greatsword +2 Dragon Bane, a flaming Ransuer +1, and a set of Full plate, spiked +1.
Bydar already has a pearl of power of his own so handy that. He has a headband of Alluring Charisma +2 already as well so the headband of Inspired Wisdom has no place to go. :) I suppose he could swap, and he was thinking of giving the headband of Charisma to Lord Christian for the good of the kingdom (And better rolls still) anyway, but I'm open to last pick regardless. :)

Orlog BrightShield |

Cloak of Resistance +1 : Could use, but so does everyone. My increased dwarven resistance mean that it is not a priority.
Ring of Protection +1 : Again, could use. But I can already pump my AC pretty high with spells. Maybe it should go to another front liner.
Pearl of Power (1st level): Nice, but might be better to someone who uses spell in a more offensive way.
Headband of Inspired Wisdom +2: My wisdom is at 18 already. Getting 20 would be nice, I would get a +1 on will and one extra spell level 1. Might be a better investment to give to someone who as a low will save.
Greatsword +2 Dragon Bane: Unless it turns into a 1 handed weapon, It is not meant for me.
Flaming Ranseur +1: Same as above.
Full plate, spiked +1: Already have a +1 full plate, but it isn't spiked. Plus I'm the only one that uses heavy armor. So it is a very slight upgrade.

Syretia |

I've already got myself a cloak and ring, and everything else isn't much use to me, but they're all quite nice!

Lord Christian D'Elagante |

So if I am seeing this correctly...and my thoughts as well...just my thoughts.
Full Plate +1 with Spikes to Orlog. So you are getting really just spikes.
So why not take the Ring of Protection as well.
Pearl of Power to Booker
Syretia has most of the items already or an items that is better for her already. That is good and bad...we will let you have first pick of items on the next haul...I think that is fair...does anyone have a problem with that thought?
Cloak of Resistance to Bydar.
+2 Great Sword, Dragon bane to Brand
The polearm we can hold onto for the moment.
I am willing to take the Headband of Wis as it will help with saves but I was thinking for the short term (next encounter) I would trade with Bydar as the +2 Charisma would benefit me greatly in the upcoming diplomatic mission so to speak.
Cloak: Bydar
Ring: Orlog
Pearl: Booker
Headband: Christian
GreatSword: Brand
Polearm: Sell or hold onto
Full Plate: Orlog
First pick on next Haul: Syretia
How does everyone feel about this???

DM Vayelan |

GM, I think the loot is fine (Answering here) , and we also have an option of (Correct me if I'm wrong on this) Selling some of it to convert to BP yes?
Correct! There are two ways to go about it during the Income Phase:
Make Deposits to the Treasury: You can add funds to a kingdom’s Treasury by donating your personal wealth to the kingdom—coins, gems, jewelry, weapons, armor, magic items, and other valuables you find while adventuring, as long as they are individually worth 4,000 gp or less. For every full 4,000 gp in value of the deposit, increase your kingdom’s BP by 1.
Sell Expensive Items for BP: You can attempt to sell expensive personal items (that is, items worth more than 4,000 gp each) through your kingdom’s markets to add to your Treasury. You may sell one item per settlement district per turn. You must choose the settlement where you want to sell the item, and the item cannot be worth more than the base value of that settlement.

Speaking for myself; I'm good with it. As for the swapping headbands now and then thing, sure, whatever is best for the group and kingdom :)

Gotcha. Number 2 sounds like another reason to build up our town into a city. The more successful we get, the more we can throw into it if we want to make it more so :)

In the absence of a primarily charisma-based caster, I also think the headband probably does more good to Christian, since it increases his panache pool size.
What I want more than any gear is level 6 so I can finally achieve my dream of "fireball obsessed sorcerer." ;D
Me, much later, casting intensified empowered dazing fireball

Mmm okay. Bydar might just give the charisma headband over and let Syretia and Christian use it instead between them :)
Give her future victims a higher DC to deal with!

Syretia |

Even though I'm a sorcerer, I actually use Intelligence as my casting stat, so I don't need it. Plus, I already have a +2 headband. I'm doing okay gear wise.

Well then, good news, everyone!
My plan is for you guys to reach level 6 after resolving the situation with Mercifax and completing this adventure thread.
"Bydar, my loyal priest, you may now aid others with even more of my miracles for the noble deed you have done with my power!"
"I am blessed truly, Eternal Rose, but I could not have helped with the dragon situation without my heroic companions!"
"Dragon situ.. I wasn't talking about the dragon situation"
"I.. then, Goddess, why..."
"PUPPY! With his big shiny eyes and happy tail... oh he's a good boy, yes he is.."
"...." *beat* "Thy will be done"

Bydar |

DM- there is a cleric spell 'Make whole' that would work for Syretia's plan. Given the Sense Motive came before the rest, would it be okay to assume Bydar had time to memorize that at least once , THEN woke up and healed Fenrir?
If not, I get it but thought I'd ask!

Syretia |

Mending can also work, though make whole certainly is more efficient.

Given the time frame/sequence of events, yes - Bydar would be able to prepare both spells in time.

Syretia |

I have now gone from a potential of 0 fireballs per day all the way to 4, since I only get a single 3rd level spell known.
I also get a new cantrip known so now I can cast mending too.

I am wondering if this would be worth taking? It fits in with the character and what we are doing here but if you are not using leadership feat then this would be a waste.

I like that feat. It fits both Christian's character trajectory and the rivalry with the competing Taldan party. I love the Leadership feat, so I would definitely allow it.
