You can help but notice small figures in a village type scene working and moving on the door picture when you are watching Gloisil and Gyldyr. The are to small to make out; but they are looking intently at them.
Desidera's head was looking between Gloisil, Sunset, and the dark elf, not entirely trusting, despite whatever he says. So she clutched her staff warily and watched the dark elf more than she did the hallway, standing next to Sunset and occasionally glancing down the hall, or at the door. Despite being brought here on the back of a Kirin, she could not help but feel that she was out of place, and somewhat trapped.
Once more, she wistfully thought of the surface, and the light of the sun, hoping that she would see it again sometime soon.

Sunset moves into a position where she can watch farther down the corridor and cover the sppace with her x-bow.
"Um, okeys, so whut kind'a door is we lookin' at, perzactly?" She asks.
"I in't really too cluey about doors." She adds in a some what quieter voice.
"Some sort of wizard door," Gyldyr replies. "As I said, I can open it if we don't find the combination or key."
Sunset
Sunset nods at Gyldyr's words, though a slightly troubled expression is still about her features.

"Um, th' floaty gnomy gem don't have nothin' t' do with th' door now, does it? Might it be a Gnome-ish idea t' put the lock outside th' door, maybe?" She asks, though there is no certainty in her voice.
"Jus' a wild idea I kind'a have." She adds softly, a blush creeping into her cheeks.

Level 3 wizard plus a +2 race; hmm; bit high ;I though you were a level 1 wizard with a +2 race that would make you 3rd level. There are about 5 versions of Drow race that have all kinds of race level modifiers; which book/version are you playing?

The version offered in the PF Bestiary. I think it's +1/3. The ability modifiers follow the same pattern as that for normal elves: the only difference is that there's a bonus to charisma instead of intelligence.

All that being aside; the dungeon has everything in it the pc's need, so,
What are the pc's doing? There are several doors; a gem only the gnome can see or sense, a magically locked door; a freight elevator; and other hallways?
Well, we's waitin' t' get this here Gnome-y door open, in't we?
Plus, assumin' they's still watin' an' watchin' in'a wings, there be some friends floatin' about who's maybe ready t' be joinin' in?
Sunset looks from the door to Gyldyr to Gloisil to Desidera and every one else standing in the corridor.
"Well, if'n it be a Gnome-y thing, why would it be bad fer people's who is freinds of Gnomes an' Gnomes, o' course." She adds.
"Maybe we should just, y'know, touch it?" She ventures quietly.
Desidera Tahn
Desidera looked over at Sunset with a surprised look, her nervousness making her more nervous. She gave her a nudge, as if slightly chastising the elf for doing that, but her eyes were still more on the dark elf than what Gloisil was doing. The darkness around their small sources of light made her nervous. The echoing sound of their footsteps made her nervous, the feeling of being closed in-- no matter how high the ceiling was-- made her uncomfortable.
Once more she prayed to have this done over with so that they could find the surface again.

Ok; those looking at the door make a Spot roll.
Gyldyr; you sense a pulse of enchantment/alteration and dimensional magic.
Gloisil dissappears.
Gloisil
You now inside the door in what appears to be a gnome fortified village; there are about 50 gnomes warriors here and several wizards; and you can be sure there are several hidden rogue types as well.
you can see a large jailhouse nearby with many captive goblins, norkers, and even a bugbear or two.
looking closely; you notice all of these gnomes are wooden; like golems or the story of pinnocio.
in the distance you can see them working on things; like repairing damage to the door.
Looking out; you can see your compainions; but they are huge and even a bit frightening.
Some goblins warriors march up and the leader speaks in a flat, wooden voice"ok Goblin, your under arrest; in with the others" They point their spears at you.
Gloisil Murigel
Gloisil looks down at his hands, feet and clothing as if to make sure that he still looks like himself. The he says, "Whoa friend gnomes, can ye not see that I am a gnome as well. My companions that are now outside the door and myself have been sent into this goblin infested dwarven city to recover an artifact of great power, but are having much difficulty in finding our way to where it is. Is there any help that you can give us?"

Gloisel
some golem/puppet gnome response: "This one is trxie sir!"
another: "lol, quick witted though; he thinks he is a gnome!"
Another: "Dwarves, I dont see no stinkin dwarves!"
another: "hehe dwarven city; <looks left and right> dont look like one to me, must be some goblin trick"
Leader: "all right; cut your yappin, what is that you say; if your a gnome; what's your name?"

you know that most magical portals has a key; homestone; loadstone or otherwise figure or glyph that marks location or point of origin; this seems to be missing from this doorway.

Gyldyr raises his eyebrows in mild surprise at the disappearance, taking another step back from the door. "It might be portal," he observes.
Desidera Tahn
Desidera tried not to panic when Gloisil disappeared. Sunset's "eek" only made her jump, and she looked from her to the dark elf, to the door, and back again, the worry growing in her heart.
...Door. Sunset. Dark Elf.
What had happened to everyone else? They were missing several other people, were they not? What was going on?
...Sunset. Dark Elf. Door.
Where were they? Were there any Dwarves left in this complex at all? Why had they not seen any? What would happen to them if Gloisil did not come back?
...Dark Elf. Door. Sunset.
Her hand was squeezing Sunset's tighter and tighter as her eyes got wider, her breathing getting faster and faster. If Gloisil didn't come back, what would happen to them?
...Door. Sunset. Dark Elf.
Desidera kept looking at each of them in turn, before she finally gave a tiny squeak (which she would adamantly deny later) and collapsing to the floor, fainting away.
Sunset
At Desidera's collapse, Sunset completely forgets both Gyldyr and Gloisil. Quickly cushioning and cradling the limp form of Desidera in her arms.
"Oh heck!" She whispers, "Um, I dun't know, c'n ye figure ut where Gloisil has..gone..?" She asks Gyldyr, "At least ways c'n ye figure if t'is somat good or...bad...whut's happened?" She further explains, though the nervousness in her voice is evident.
"C'me on, wake-y, wake-y. There be nothin' t' fear, yer mate Sunset's here." Sunset does her best to help get Desidera through her swoon.
Aye, how's we goin' t' get a handle on who is an who in't still 'with' us? :(
Gloisil Murigel
"I am a member of a party sent to a dwarf city that has been taken over by goblins to retrieve an artifact of great power before it falls into the hands of those that would use it for evil purposes. We have been sent to retrieve this item by the Holy Kirin to fulfill this purpose."
Is there any aid that you can provide to us? I feel that the object that we seek is lower in this underground city that we are in, but we, as of this time, haven't found a reliable way to the lower levels."
"I came to your village by way a door in the dwarf city that showed a picture of your village. If you watched the picture carefully enough, it would move and change. I then reached out my hand and placed it on the door and found myself here. I really wanted to see what was behind the door."
"Once again I humbly ask that you provide any aid you can to my companions and I in our quest."
Gloisil usually very deliberate in his method of speech for a gnome, rattles this all out at the high speed that most gnome are known for, and then falls silent wondering if he is now trapped here, or if he will find any help here.

"I don't know where the gnome has gone. The door doesn't seem to be a typical portal, nor does it use destructive magic. The only way I can think of to find out exactly what happened is to try and follow the gnome."
Gyldyr glanced back at Desidera. "Will we have to carry her wherever we're going?"

Sunset blinks at Gyldyr, "Well, I'm tryin' t' get Desi back from th' land o' Nod." She looks at the other womans pale face in the magic light. "I dun't think carryin' th lass be a very good idea, not given the nasty nature o' some o' the things down here, least ways..." She adds.
"Now, whut wus th' trick to it agin'? Were it a kiss whut wakes th' sleepin' princes...? Or have I got me tales mixed up agin....?" She talks softly as she tries to think of the best way to awaken Desidera from her swoon, stroking the other woman's hair softly away from her brow.

Gloisil
The leader of the golem/soldiers says
"if all that blather was true; then why didnt you just use the key? If your a gnome; the key should have been quite obvious to you as it would be to any gnome; but since you dont have the key; I can only surmise that you are not a gnome; thus are a goblin trying to decieve. Admittantly; a smarter than average goblin; a goblin mage you say hmm, interesting. I think we should put this one in a seperate holding cell; he might invoke trouble with the others."
The soldiers move to circle and apprehend you...

A waste of water was not quite necessary for Gyldyr as Desidera slowly stirred with a small sound, opening her eyes slowly as if by doing so, she could make the past day or so but a dream. The disappointment was evident on her face, waking up to the same rock walls, strange door, and vanished compainon. Disheartened, she sat up, giving a smile to Sunset, and sighed quietly. "He still hasn't returned", she observed.

Sunset smiles at Desidera in return, while casting a small cantrip to dry away Gyldyr's splash.
"Whut? A course he in't back yet. Ye were only out fer but a nowt." Sunset informs her freind. "Gloisil be a Gnome, they c'n take all sorts o' time doin' things." She finishes, though Desidera can tell that the Elf is hiding her true feelings about the matter.
The fact that Sunset doesn't seem to care about water being thrown about is also, perhaps, a tad disconcerting.

Gloisil then responds to the leader by saying, "Well my fine sir, I did see the key in the hallway. A blue gem with many glyphs and sigils. I have only just begun my magical training and was unable to read all the writing on the key, and so thought it may have been tampered with. Also, knowing the joking nature of gnomes thought it best to not fall prey to a joke while in the midst of a goblin infested dwarf stronghold."
"Was the key the work of Yuri Brighteyes or one of his appentices? Must have been to fool a novice such as myself. Honestly, I am who I say and if you allow me to return to my companions then we can use the key and continue on our quest."
Valegrim
The leader ponders, as if you reached the end of his instructions and he is getting new information from somewhere....
"Ah, perhaps a bargain then is in order. Leave with us your spellbook and weapon; and we shall expell you hence; return with the key, and all will be restored and we shall accept you as a Gnome and thus you shall gain entrance to that which is beyond rather than a imprisonment."

"Fine sir, I have just one more question. Do I need to bring my companions with me when I return, or will they enter another way?"
Sunset
Gyldyr begins pacing. "How long do we intend to wait for the gnome?"
Sunset frowns,
"Aye an' it all be well an' good t' complain about watin'. But whut else is there t' do? D'you have the gumption t' touch th' danged door?" She scowl's.
"I say we wait fer Gloisil, th' feller in't let us down yet an' I in't about t' turn tail on him, neither!" She asserts, then her feateures soften,
"Ahhh, listen t' me, here I am gettin' all riled up. D'ye have any ideas about whut t' do?" She asks Gyldyr.

As you grab the Gem:
you all become subject to a Wierding; Glydyr your detect magic for Illusion/Phantasm and Alteration and Enchantment goes right off the scalel; then a pulse of a shadow gateway.
The hallways shimmers and buckles; you may make balance rolls to keep standing, otherwise are thrown to your feet dc 16.
You now stand in a cavern; rock very unlike where you were; which was black and grey, full of loam and granite and black blood of the earth; this place has roots coming from the cieling; dark brown dirt and bits of lighter brown clay with vast roots of many trees twisted into a bowl making this semi cavernous chamber. The floor of this chamber is bricked in shale; and there are wonderous machines of brass and steel chugging alone and venting steam and tooting a whistle now and again.
There are two small stone golems in this room going about tasks; they pause and look at you; then go about thier tasks; a whistle toots a loud dark hoot; then a robed figure the size of a gnome comes out from behind some equipment. you may all make arcane or history or otherwise magic rolls to learn something by look; is bit difficult with modifiers for background, race and class.
he comes to you and he looks gnomish; but is not a gnome; something is a bit off; but he speaks like gnomes; about 10000 miles a minute. he blurts out something only Gloisil understands. Then slows it down so you can all understand
"so; why are you here; who are you, and how did you get the masters key; and who let the dark elf in here; are you bringing the supplies I need? I dont see them; and why are you not wearing the proper clothes. I hope your not intruders; that would be unpleasant; I have much to do and cannot be interrupted; why are you hear; are you deaf; perhaps dumb; <looks at the gnome> well; speak?"
<you see no other exits>

Gyldyr surreptitiously moves to stand behind Suny, guessing that whatever was talking to them wasn't very fond of drow. Perhaps we have been transported to a demiplane? I have had too much to do with portals, lately. While attemtping to remain inconspicuous, he looks about the room for clues about what exactly is going on; also out of plain curiousity.

"I am Gloisil Murigel a gnome sorcerer. I am the grand nephew of Hava Hava Gooday, and nephew of the gnome warrior Petrovich Crownefist."
"We are a party of adventurers sent to a dwarf city that has been taken over by goblins to retrieve an artifact of great power before it falls into the hands of those that would use it for evil purposes. We have been sent to retrieve this item by the Holy Kirin."
"As we explored the dwarf city we first came upon this gem which only I could see because of the gnome magic that had been placed upon it. We then came to a door that depicted a gnome town and when I touched the door I was brought inside the village. Only the gnomes there seemed to be constructs of some kind. As I talked to their leader, trying to enlist their aid, he told me of the key. I was to bring it back to them for they thought I was a goblin and as proof that I was not was to show them that I could retrieve the gem as only I or another gnome could see it. But when I touched the gem we were brought here. I had to leave an item that I treasure with them as proof that I would come back with the gem, but now I'm not sure what to do, for as I said, as soon as I touched the gem we were brought here."
"I will now ask you what I asked the gnomes in the construct village, is there anything that you can do to assist us in our quest?"
Edit: Forgot my balance check: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 14 Looks like I was talking while seated on the ground. Hope I didn't pull Sunset down with me, as she had grabbed, or tried to grab hold of me.

"Ah; This just wont do. Hmm; so the master is missing or slain; you would think that as his humounculous, someone would keep me in the loop.
So; you have the key to the masters abode; well, maybe he left some clues or information; you have my permission to proceed. Check back with me soon and let me know what is going on."
Party is back in the hallway.
Glyrdr
you think that this is a powerful illusion that warps the senses and is at least half real; then opened a window to the demiplane of shadow; so party only touched it. You cant really trust that anything looked or took place as you sensed it. The validity of the entire sequence is suspect; how gnomes deal with all this illusion stuff on a daily basis is beyond you. The illusion itself was flawlessly blended.

Gyldyr stares at the door with a mixture of admiration, fascination and distrust, taking care to keep his face expressionless. He disliked having less information to go on than the gnome apparently had, but that couldn't be helped. "That was a powerful illusion, at least half real, and somehow connected to the plane of shadow," he observes aloud, hoping that someone else had more of a grip on what was happening than he did. He turns to face Gloisil. "Do you know more than that?"

At the first hint of unsettling, Desidera's legs betray her, and she finds herself on the ground again, conscious this time at least. So it is with no small amount of surprise and wonder that she looks up at the new surroundings in time to hear Gloisil respond to the string of sounds before they find themselves back where they were. Honestly, she wondered if she did not imagine the whole thing, and she was just recovering from fainting, gaining her feet only now.
Several blinks passed before she could voice anything, and she looked over at Sunset, wondering if she was hallucinating. "...Um?"
