Init: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (3) + 11 = 14
For the things I may succeed in, I place the motivation to endure and the will to persevere at your young feet. For the things which I leave unfinished, I ask you for patience. The universe needs balance, and together we will bring it. Should the machinations of a flawed creature prevent me from returning to you, note you have my love as a daughter forever.
-Note from Professor Radsworth to Sun Mi

Michael Johnson 66 |

Note colossal Cthulhu at the north end of the throne room, with smaller but also colossal star-spawn to his left, right, and one before him (9 altogether)....
Koran is the frost giant front left, Al-Torac is the Large blue dragon, front center from L to R is Derrik, Mikey Jay, and Sieg.... Daisy is the female figure on the back R.... Radsworth is the guy holding up a pair of pistols.... Yingzen is the dark tengu mini.... Marcus is the remaining mini....

Concentration check vs DC 33 to defensively cast mythic wish 1d20 + 42 ⇒ (16) + 42 = 58 succeeds, of course....
Cthulhu raises one slimy claw skyward and utters a mythic wish that all of Koran's attacks this round failed to connect.... The four great bludgeon marks from Mjolnir suddenly vanish, restoring the Great Old One to full vigor!
In telepathic Aklo: You are doomed to fall before my relentless might, foolish mortals!!!

Sieg Alfbrecht |

Sieg stomps his boots against the ground, granting him bolstered morale.
Swift action activate Boots of the Battle Herald, Greater Heroism for 30 rounds. Immune to fear now. Also activating Mythic Power Attack. Spending 1 point from my Ki Pool negate his Freedom of Movement.
Then he calls upon the spirit of Beowulf within him and rages, growing large, and follows Koran's course, flying over the Star-Spawn and going straight for their dread father.
He roars in anger and throws all his might into a single punch as he divebombs the tentacle-y threat to all humanity.

Dread Cthulhu |

Having sustained a staggering amount of damage between Sieg's single tremendous blow and MJ's furious flurry of strikes with The Sword of Sif (711 total), Cthulhu roars in agony and outrage!
GLLLUUUUURRRRRRGGGHHHHH!!!
The Great Old One is reeling in shock and pain hitherto unknown to him!

Marcus Greer |

Just realized Marcus hasn't acted yet. Wish I had known more about the CLeric list when we started this because a Readied action to use Soul Bind here would be rad. Don't have the right gemstone for it though.
Marcus uses his Divine Metamastery, then drops a Maximized Empowered Mythic Firestorm over the whole battlefield.
"Burn babies burn! We're havin' calamari tonight!"
Spell resistance: 2d20 ⇒ (5, 8) = 13 +33 to bypass SR is 41 result, barely overcoming Cthulhu's SR I believe.
Using 2 MP to exclude Humanoids from harm. Everyone that's not humanoid in 42 total 10 ft. cubes (so...this whole room, basically) takes 240 damage. Reflex for half damage and to avoid being caught on fire and taking a further 36 fire damage every round until they spend a full-round to extinguish it. Half of this damage is Fire, and half of it is Divine and bypasses all fire resistance or immunity.

Michael Johnson 66 |

In the great battle that ensued, perhaps the most ferocious in Earth history.... More savage than the clash of titans, or dragons, or dinosaurs.... More bloodthirsty than the carnage of the World Wars, Viet Nam, the War on Terror.... The Fierce Ones earned their title one final time.
Cthulhu and its star spawn raged like nightmare leviathans from the drug-ravaged psyche of an insane alien, summoning demons, devils, daemons, slaadi, aberrations from the furthest realms, and undead monsters from the pits of Hell or other, equally terrible dimensions....
The Fierce Ones were at first horrified when Professor Naomi Levinson made her reappearance at Dread Cthulhu's side as a lich, Kepler long cannibalized for evil power....
But when it became apparent that she had actually turned on Cthulhu--her devious plan the whole time--they rejoiced at the potent necromantic aid of their long-lost companion!

Levinson DM substitute |

In a houdah strapped to the back of a somehow more malevolent-looking marble elephant than the lovable figurine of wondrous power The Fierce Ones remembered, the Scepter of Faust in her hand, Lich Naomi Levinson winks an undead eye at Derrik.
You didn't truly think I'd let you have all the fun without me, did you?

Merlin the Wild |

Arriving with Morgan the Fey at his side, Merlin returns to their side once more in The Fierce Ones' hour of need.... Bravely and brilliantly, the old wizard fights alongside his ward once more, urging Derrik to greater and greater fears of battle-glory!
Kill him, Arthur!!!! Kill the bloody brute!!! roars Merlin to Derrik with his final breaths as the ancient archmage vanishes down Cthulhu's tentacle-fringed maw....

Morgan Le Fey |

Seeing her sometime enemy, sometime lover disappear into the void of the ravening maw of Cthulhu, the immortal enchantress wails her grief and fury....
MERRRRLIIIINNNNN!!!! NOOOOOOO!!!
Electrified with mad rage, the fey witch hurls epic magics at the Great Old One, rending his form for the first time!

Mikey Jay |

Like a whirling dervish on crack, Mikey Jay rains down blows with The Sword of Sif, laying a field of carnage among the star spawn, demons, devils, and assorted ill-fated minions summoned to the arena, wisecracking dryly as he slashes and hacks....

Daisy Eagle-Feather |

Daisy worked hard to keep her companions standing.... It was not easy.... Cthulhu and the star spawn brought the martial heroes to the brink of death over and over again, and Daisy nearly exhausted her healing powers undoing the damage....
Don't give up, boys! We got this!

Cthulhu-Derrik |

The green gas coalesces around the brightly glowing figure, and a strange transformation occurs: rising from the floor and growing until it towers to Cthulhu's original colossal height, an armored, tentacled hybrid of Derrik and the Great Old One, brandishing colossal and warped versions of Excalibur and Dawnbringer, looms over the throne room!
It's voice is like thunder: The transmogrification is complete! I am more powerful than ever before! Behold the doom of galaxies, Fierce Ones, and despair!!!!

Michael Johnson 66 |

Prologue
In the aftermath of that legendary battle, the ultimate clash between Yin and Yang, Light and Dark, Good and Evil, Life and Death, Resurrection and Destruction, Derrik Stonesmith made the ultimate sacrifice and fulfilled the destiny begun for him long before his soul inhabited the body known by that name.
A fallen angel was redeemed, but at the cost of his name and legend being stricken from the memories of every living being in the multiverse for all time.
The mythic companions who survived him knew that someone had been among them, a friend, a leader, a champion.... But the name and face were frustratingly lost to them....
Nonetheless, they celebrated the Forgotten One, and the sacrifice that saved the world, in the heady days of rebirth following the fall of Cthulhu and the New Renaissance of Humanity.
