Retroactively, instead of readying blasphemy, the snake-headed balors would have Yingzen and Al'Torac as targets on their side of the portal, and would use their blasphemy as soon as their turn came up....
The snake-headed balors hiss vile blasphemies at Yingzen and Al'Torac! Both must attempt Will saves, DC 25, or be dazed 1 round!
Marcus Greer |
I think it's save or be Dazed and Weakened, since we're still 19th level. So if he saves, he takes a 1d6 penalty to Str for 2d4 rounds, or 2d6 penalty if he fails.
Getting back into playing a high level caster after so long is hard.
Marcus will use a Mythic Power to cast Overwhelming Presence, augmented to be Persistent by his Rod and spend another Mythic Power to activate his Mythic Spell Focus.
Spell Penetration: 1d20 + 38 ⇒ (1) + 38 = 39
Spell Penetration 2: 1d20 + 38 ⇒ (4) + 38 = 42
Assuming that overcomes most target's SR (though not Yig's, I think), every enemy on the field must make three DC 33 Will saves. Failure of one of them means they are Helpless for the next 22 rounds, success means they are merely staggered for 1d4 ⇒ 1. This is a Mind Affecting Compulsion effect.

Aw, nuts. Depending on how clustered they are together I may want to change my action then. I just wanted to get a chance to screw somebody over with that spell before this game ends. =)

I know it's probably hard to picture the battlefield without a battle mat, but the closest targets to the portal are the two naga archons, standing 10 feet in front of the portal and ten feet from each other. The two snake-headed balors stand about 20 feet laterally from each of the two naga archons and about 30 ft from each side of the 10-ft-diameter portal. The two serpentfolk priests stand about 20 ft behind the naga archons and about 40 ft from the portal. Medusa stands about 60 ft from the portal and has line of sight to it between the naga archons. The four mariliths are about 80 ft from the portal, forming a line roughly 70 ft wide, with about 10 ft between each. The four aghasura asura stand in a line about 70 ft wide, with about 10 ft between each, staggered with the mariliths so all have unobstructed views of the portal, and about 60 ft from the portal, with Medusa in between the middle two. The four drug lords stand in a close cluster about 80 ft back from the portal and about 30 ft to one side of the marilith line. Koran you didnt jump that high.. again. And distance is an issue for your attacks. We start 100 away, and then 200 ft up so unless you can bridge that gap with movement you cant get to him.
Heroic Fort Save: 1d20 + 30 ⇒ (2) + 30 = 32
Derrik Stonesmith |
The leap itself is a charge otherwise I could have full attacked. Your movement is perhaps 70-80 ft... Then from that point its 20ft up most likely at an incline.. So say you double moved, That would mean you cant charge any more. Derrik or Mikey can get there because of our increased Speed possibly But Koran would need to Double move To get ~ 20 ft up the Ziggarut Which would leave a gap of ~180 ft. Even with the Leap you got ~ 95 ft which is still 80~ish short. And we cant fly sadly.

It doesn't look as though I can catch more than two guys. Mind if I change my action to something a little more wide-reaching? Or at least less expensive.
Marcus decides to be a bit reckless, transforming into a Huge Bronze Dragon. He flies to the middle of (but 20 feet above) the combined Marilith/Agasura line, and claps his claws together.
"Hallelujah!"
Holy Word. Everything within a 40 ft. radius/80 ft. diameter (which should be all the Mariliths and Aghasuras, and maybe a few others?) must make a DC 31 Will save.
Edit: Using Inspired Spell to cast this for the +2 CL.
If they are 12 HD or less, they die. Success means they take 3d6 + 22 ⇒ (3, 5, 3) + 22 = 33 damage instead.
If they are 17 HD or less, they are also paralyzed for 1d10 ⇒ 7 MINUTES. Success reduces this to one round.
If they are 21 HD or less, they are also Blinded for 2d4 ⇒ (3, 3) = 6 rounds. Success reduces that to just the first d4 rounds.
And if they are 22 HD or less, they are also Deafened for 1d4 ⇒ 3 rounds. Save negates.
Additionally, any Non-Good Outsider in the area must make a DC 31 Will save (at a -4 penalty) or be instantly banished back to their home plane, where they may not return from for 24 hours.
