I would agree with Yingzen, the best way to dismantle the threat of the old ones is by continuing in our same path. We cut away at their tree of might root by root. I would personally suggest we strike down Shub-Niggurath before the others. But, I will of course differ to the consensus of all the Fierce Ones.

Male Human Two-handed fighter 10/urban barbarian 9/cleric of Sif 1; Mythic Champion tier 10; hp 263

No preference here.... Whatever the rest of you decide, I'm ready....

Female Human (Navajo) Cleric 20; Mythic Hierophant tier 10; hp 176

I also agree that we take out Cthulhu last.... So, Yig first? Or Shub-Niggurath?

male tengu swordmaster (Rogue) lv 19 trickster tier 9

well ravens eat serpents and I am kind of hungry

Male Tiefling Wild Rager 11 / Spellbreaker 6 / Chevalier 3 / Champion 9 (current HP: 520/349)

Shub-Niggurath is the most immediate threat.

M Human unchained monk 8/paladin 6

That's two in favor of SN, 1 for Y so far....

Male Half-Elf Gunslinger 1, Urban Barbarian 1, fighter 15, Paladin 1, Champion 8

My vote would be to go to my home land and kill the abomination Shub-Niggurath.

M Human unchained monk 8/paladin 6

3 votes for SN, 1 for Y....

Male Human Two-handed fighter 10/urban barbarian 9/cleric of Sif 1; Mythic Champion tier 10; hp 263

What sayest thou, cunning Radsworth? How counsels thee, wise wizard?

MJ salutes Radsworth with the Sword of Sif....

Ever have thine counsels been sound and reasonable!

He turns to Dr Grimm....

And what sayest thou, glib alchemist? What have the visions shown thee?

He winks at Hugo....

Then turns to Derrik....

What sayest thou, Mighty Arthur of the Britons Reborn? Which head dost Excaliber crave to lop?

He looks at Marcus and smiles....

Which way are you leaning, my brother-in-madness?

He looks at Sig....

Whose arm ya feel like twistin' off today, Beowulf?

Male Human Monk 5 (Qinggong Master of Many Styles from the Sacred Mountain)/Fighter (Brawler) 3

Sieg and Marcus are accounted for (check the previous page).

M Human unchained monk 8/paladin 6

Right, Rynjin, sorry bout dat.... 4 for SN, 2 for Y....

kobold sorceror9/dragon disciple 10 archmage tier 9

I feel we should strike against Shub-Niggurath

M Human unchained monk 8/paladin 6

I believe that makes a clear majority for Shub-Niggurath....

Describing a circle in the air with his finger, Radsworth opens a spinning circular rift in space and time--a portal to a distant place, chosen by some mystical instinct that guides the Wizard with the Talking Top Hat....

Stepping through this gate, the Fierce Ones arrive in the desert of the Northern Territory of Australia.... Before them looms the great, mysterious rock formation known as Uluru or Ayers Rock.... Sacred to the aboriginal people of the region from time immemorial.... Legends speak of supernatural creator spirits, serpent beings, and lizard beings with magical powers haunting the many stone caves and springs in the area....

As soon as the Fierce Ones arrive in the shadow of massive Uluru, Ayers Rock, they cannot help but notice the shrieking winds that whip around the rock formation, creating madly capering dust devils in the desert sand, and echoing forlornly and hideously in dark cave mouths evident in Uluru and elsewhere around the great rock.

As they take in the impressive and somehow oppressive sight and sounds, what at first give the impression of huge leafless trees with branches that whip and flail insanely in the howling winds, stomp into view from around the nearer side of Uluru, spreading out from a single file into a wider clump.... They stomp nearer on a trio of elephantine legs, their black, slimy flesh constantly opening as slavering mouths, toothed, fanged, beaked, sucker-like, or proboscis-like, or eyes of a staggering variety, which then close and give way to a new generation of organs.... There are 12 approaching!

Knowledge (dungeoneering) checks to identify the monsters approaching....

The 12 monstrous things are about 200 feet from the front rank of the Fierce Ones (Derrik, Koran, Sieg, Mikey Jay, and Yingzen).... 205 feet from everyone else....

The clouds over Ayers Rock coalesce into a colossal mass of dark gray, swirling and churning, and sickly-pale tentacles of enormous size begin to squirm and dangle out of the dark mass of roiling clouds.... Thousands of eyes and mouths, some bestial, others disturbing human-like, appear and disappear on the mass, much like on the dozen lumbering monstrosities approaching across the stony desert....

This must be the Great Old One, Shub-Niggurath: Black Goat of the Woods With A Thousand Young.... The hovering mass is currently 410 feet away and about 400 feet above ground level, or about 10 feet above the top of Ayers Rock....

Male Human Two-handed fighter 10/urban barbarian 9/cleric of Sif 1; Mythic Champion tier 10; hp 263

Well, at least it didn't take long for Shub-Niggurath to show up....

Human Dark Tapestry Oracle 15; Mythic Hierophant Tier 6; HP: 114/114

Ah, didn't realize we were rolling Initiative already. Those rolls up above were Dungeoneering.

Sieg and Marcus are both unsure what the dozen approaching monsters are.... But there is little room for question in their minds as to what the nightmarish colossus above Ayers Rock could be....

Male Human Two-handed fighter 10/urban barbarian 9/cleric of Sif 1; Mythic Champion tier 10; hp 263

If anyone can cast a spell that fortifies one's sanity....against mind-scrambling sights....like that one....I'll take one on the rocks, please....

Mikey stares in sheer revulsion at the amorphous horror hovering in the howling sky above Ayers Rock.... A part of his mind and memory dedicated to locking away images of Yog-Sothoth rattles at the mental bars in MJ's skull, threatening to burst free and plunge him headlong into a relapse of the madness that wracked him when he heard that alien piping from those myriad alien mouths....

In spite of the growing terror, Mikey begins to titter in a high-pitched giggle that he only gets when tripping on 'shrooms....or beholding an extradimensional horror from beyond the stars....

Tee-heee.... Heeheehee!!

Mate and give birth.... Mate and give birth.... And devour the spawn.... And devour the spawn.... This is the cycle that Mama Shub's on.... Mate and give birth.... Mate and give birth.... And devour the spawn.... And devour the spawn.... This is the cycle that Mama Shub's on.... Rapine and slaughter, madness and pain.... These are the ways to make the blood rain....Mate and give birth.... These are the ways to make the blood rain....

On its initiative, Shub-Niggurath merely floats 160 feet closer in a rush of howling winds, forcing all within 400 feet (everybody, as she is now 240 feet from front rank) to make a DC 40 Will save to avoid going bug-nuts crazy as per insanity....

Female Human (Navajo) Cleric 20; Mythic Hierophant tier 10; hp 176

Will save vs DC 40 Unspeakable presence 1d20 + 29 ⇒ (2) + 29 = 31 plus surge, spending points to get maximized surge = 41....

Daisy is not driven insane by Shub-Niggurath's mind-withering presence....

Male Human Two-handed fighter 10/urban barbarian 9/cleric of Sif 1; Mythic Champion tier 10; hp 263

Going with the assumption that someone already cast a mind blank on him, Will save vs DC 40 unspeakable presence 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (18) + 23 = 41....

The schnauzeberries still taste like schnauzeberries.... Pop goes the f@!+ing weasel.... I'm cuckoo for Cocoa-Puffs.... Yahtzee!.... Jenga!!!.... Uno!!!.... I'm sorry, Shub-Niggurath, but you have been voted off the island, baby!!!

MJ brandishes the Sword of Sif like a whip made of liquid steel....

Human Dark Tapestry Oracle 15; Mythic Hierophant Tier 6; HP: 114/114

Will: 1d20 + 24 ⇒ (7) + 24 = 31

Marcus burns a Mythic Power for Unstoppable to remove the Confused condition imparted by Insanity.

On their turn, the twelve dark young charge across the hard pan desert, their elephantine legs galloping with the thunder of a dozen barn-sized horses stampeding toward the Fierce Ones, tentacles flailing and trailing madly....

Monk (Tetori) 11/Fighter (Brawler) 4/Ulfen Guard 5; Mythic Champion/Guardian 10

Will: 1d20 + 35 ⇒ (15) + 35 = 50

Sieg shrugs off Shub's assualt, his mind snapping back at Shub's mental assault.

Due to Adamantine Mind, Shub must now make a DC 40 Will save or be Stunned for 1 round. That ability is some rad s%#$.

"GET OUT OF MY HEAD!" he roars.

Though immune to mind-affecting effects, Shub-Niggurath takes note of the reflective power of the brawler's mind.....

Sexy mind.... Must have it....

As for Marcus' mind.... It tastes familiar to the Great Old One....

Mmmmmmmm is for Mmmmmmmarcusssssss....

The purring, multilayered, feminine voice strokes Marcus' psyche with a bliss-inducing vibration....

Monk (Tetori) 11/Fighter (Brawler) 4/Ulfen Guard 5; Mythic Champion/Guardian 10

This isn't a mind affecting effect, it's just "Will save or be Stunned".

Adamantine Mind:
Your mind is as hard as any armor, and is dangerous to engage. You gain a bonus equal to your tier on saving throws against mind-affecting effects. Whenever you succeed at a save against a mind-affecting effect, the creature attacking you with that effect must succeed at a Will save (at the same DC) or be stunned for 1 round.

Ah ha! Okay.... Will save DC 40 adamantine mind 1d20 + 33 ⇒ (18) + 33 = 51 succeeds....

She's not stunned, but is hot for Sieg's sanity....LOL

Does anyone have true seeing going? If so, make a second Will save vs DC 40 for beholding the noneuclidean terror as it truly is....

Human Dark Tapestry Oracle 15; Mythic Hierophant Tier 6; HP: 114/114

I don't, but I just realized I have Greater Spell Immunity up, with Insanity as one of the chosen spells. Would that protect me from Shub's Presence? If so, I save my MP.

M Human unchained monk 8/paladin 6

Yes! Nicely played, Marcus....

Male Human Monk 5 (Qinggong Master of Many Styles from the Sacred Mountain)/Fighter (Brawler) 3

Just goes to show you, burning a hell of a lot of spell slots on buffs always pays off. =p

what type of terrain are we in

Everyone's airborne thanks to the Caduceus, so it's likely not relevant to anything you're gonna do.

I burn a Mythic Point to get a Nat 20 on my initiative for a total of 55. I burn a mythic point for surge on my will save.

will: 1d20 + 29 + 1d10 ⇒ (9) + 29 + (1) = 39

I go insane unless this is also a fear effect (an additional +8) though I highly doubt it the rest of my turn is dependent on what insanity I contract
