Rhaym you notice that the window of the north-eastern cell was burst from within. From what you can see you think that it was attacked by a number of insects, they do not appear natural.
As you are all looking around the insects on the floor start to move together, starting to form a larger creature.

Doctor Rhaym frowned as he examined the northern cell.
"It looks like this cell was burst from within... by insects. An un-natural phylum of insects." He commented, before turning and noticing the insects moving.
"Well perhaps it's time to leave." He said hastily.
The insects starting to move together, are they inside the middle cell, or outside of it with us?

I say we check out the next room if this guy is stuck here. We've caught wind of this absent wizard before. Assuming we can trust Mr. Wormy to not betray us later, I think letting him sit tight for ten more minutes while we secure the basement before freeing him. Onwards I say!

Heading slightly to the southwest you come to another door. The door opens easily. This cramped room is incredibly hot and choked with hissing pipes and sparking wires. A strange machine of metal, stone and crystal grinds and whirs in a cacophonous din, plumes of smoke and fire churning out of it into dozens of pipes that extend upward through the ceiling. A huge metal door sits in the southern end of the west wall, just to the side of the immense machine. A short message is inscribed above the door. Numerous cables and pipes extend from the door's frame to a nearby panel in the southern wall from which four glass domes the size of human heads protrude.

"Fascinating..." Said Doctor Rhaym at the sights of this room.
He started walking SW towards the large door, intent on reading what was written above it.

Relaxing slightly now that the worms didn't follow us out, Wencit continues to trail along keeping an eye on the back of the party.
Not much I can really do in this part. Here, and paying attention, but not really able to do much.

The excitement plain on his face, Alldur approaches the machine and attempts to learn it's use and function. 'Agreed!' Alldur responds to the good doctor.

The sign above the southern door reads Lab Zero: Mnemotechnic Recovery.
Alldur it appears that the device in the middle is an amalgamation of magical and technological devices to form a furnace that draws energy from the Plane of Fire to power the whole tower.
Rhayme you can see that the door does not have a normal lock or way of opening the southern door, however this is a small hole, about the size of a pinhead or nanite.

"'Lab Zero: Mnemotechnic Recovery' is what is written over this door that... doesn't seem to have a way of opening." Mused Doctor Rhaym aloud.
Taking a closer look at the pinhole, he backed off a pace and thought for a moment. "I wonder..." He muttered. Then from his bag he took a sheet of parchment and some smoke powder and twisted them together. He lit it and wafted the smoke at the pinhole, trying to see if there was a current of air into or out of the hole.

Using the paper and smoke, you can see that there is a very small opening in the door, only a diminutive or smaller creature could get through it.

"Very well, do not lose who you are, your will is all that will be holding you together. You will be fine." Narek traces an arcane pattern in the air, glowing blue smoke begins to leak from his finger nails leaving a tracing of the pattern. He reaches out to Poshment and the gnome seems to quake for a moment before his physical form erupts into a gas cloud.

"This is odd. This giant armored door has an open pinhole through it. No airflow I can see. But, what could it BE for?" He asked aloud.

A hollow giggling can be heard emanating from the Posh-cloud. "I'm up your nose! Heheee!"
As quickly as it can, the cloud starts to pour into the gap of the door.

Going through the gap you find yourself in a metal-walled laboratory which is sparsely furnished and the air within is stale and musty. A long table against the north wall of this room contains the almost perfectly preserved corpse of a woman with bluish circuitry on her skin. The top portion of her skull has been cut away to reveal a dry, pale brain. On the floor at the foot of the table lies sprawled the withered body of a man, portions of his remains completely missing as if burned away. You can also see a lever next to the door which looks like it might open it fully.

I know Poshment turns "insubstantial" and "misty" via the spell, but his first instinct would be to try and agitate his surroundings. He'd start with what he is certain is the corpse of the kooky wizard, then what I believe to be an Android on the table. Finally, he'll make what is likely a futile attempt at pulling the lever before returning through the crack he initially came through!

Poshment you can't really make out much details on the corpse, it looks like he died of old age. The android corpse is in pieces but seems to be stylistically female, the top of the skull has been removed, revealing the brain. There is a glowing green object next to the skull. As Poshment flies back through the gap in the door the door opens fully.

Doctor Rhaym is impelled into the room by curiosity alone. The corpse would seem to be beyond his help, but the android is fascinating by it's separation into parts.
