Sorry, I did not catch the conversation being made in a low voice to only Arwen, but we did see him looking into the hidden location and shaking his head, did we not? In any event, like I said...have at it. I am a rogue, and I have no problem with it.

Finally back...

Hit Points (+1): 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 ehh..

Updated alias...will jump back into gameplay thread.

you are correct marco

Welcome back Caln! And yeah guys, even if your character isn't actively participating in what the DMPC is doing, you should still try to post every day per my posting requirements in the recruitment thread, please. Just do what Suny does and post a ^_^ in the discussion thread if your PC really has nothing to say or do. My personal preference is just fluff posts to add to the setting - maybe asking a question of a prisoner for example, or even something as simple as drinking from your waterskin and looking around. Helps keep things moving at a brisk pace. :)

My my you are really like a butterfly running and flapping your arms like that...

Hey guys, having a bit of a crazy day today, so I won't be able to post until later, maybe around 3 AM my time. Just wanted to give you guys a heads-up.

I am dropping out. Not happy with the pace, nor the lack of attention being paid to getting things accomplished as a group. I am not overly sensitive as a person, or PC. I am in 10+ other games, but I have never experienced anything quite like this game and its diversionary threads.

Don't let the door hit you where the Good Lord split you ^_^

Hope everything for your other games goes great and I do look forwards to RPing with you should our paths cross again. Will miss you.

Finally getting around to levelling up Jethro, and I have a question about the favored class bonus. As a scion of humanity aasimar, he has access to :

Quote:

Add one spell known from the sorcerer spell list. This spell must be at least one level below the highest spell level the sorcerer can cast.

He's also a word of power sorcerer.

So would he get an additional word, or an additional "spell known" from the sorcerer spell list?

(It's the difference, for example, between learning Prestidigitation, the spell, or learning Distant, the metaword.)

Are there levels of power of words? If so, select a word that is one tier lower than your most powerful and add another.

Male half-gnome? tattooed sorcerer 1 Hp 16 / 16 AC 12 (+8/+11 Perc; +1 Init; Fort +1, Ref +1, Will +5)

DM Frogfoot:
So...as I mentioned, am rilly ill atm. Which makes typing for Suny actually easier. Though I am completely unsure if it's making her any better to be understood by others. :P

So...while in such a state of mind, my Muse has staggered in under the chemical cloud and offered up an idea.

In 'Ultimate Equipment' guide (Page 106)there is an alchemical item listed as 'Bottled Lightning'.

Cost 40 Gp per 'tube',
Has a range of 20',
To hit a touch AC,
Deal 1D8 Electricity Damage,
Target gets a REF save (DC 15) To avoid being deafened by the 'shock' of thunder that also deals 1 point of sonic damage.

I have this image of a X-bow stock at one end. A drum of said lightning cans in the middle. With a 'steadying'/'reloading' handle hanging off the front.

So, the light x-bow weighs in at 4 Pounds. Each tube also weighs in at 1 pound. With her STR currently at 10...and she pretty much wearing nothing else, Suny can hold something that weighs in at 20 pounds with no ill effects. :P

Given something that can hold six or seven 'canisters' we're talking about a device which will weigh in at about 13 or 14 pounds. :D

Basically a "Canned lightning 'shot-gun". Suny now has the means to try and get such a thing built. Though I am completely unsure if said Elf would even have the beginnings to place said pieces together. Still, when more posts follow, that is where she'll be wandering off to Ausk's mechanically seeming minded wife and whom ever the town alchemists are.

I can soooo much see Suny wearing a large hat. A poncho (And little else) sitting on the top of said armored wagon.

Standing up when the inevitable ruckus starts and looking at said main bad guys.

Krack-BOOM!

"Okeys! Ye primitive screw heads! Listen UP!"

flourishing said strange device out from under said poncho,

"See this? THIS...," Jabs said device into the air, "This is my BOOM-stick!"

Lowers said device and slowly pans it across the arrayed nefarious villainy. "I swear!" Continues to glare at offenders,

"Any of you...monkeys...even consider touchin' that what be under my care...?" And she glares menacingly at them all.

"So help me I'll....." And she points at the least cowed looking one of them. She draws out the silence.

"Go ahead.....make.my.day."

Now...what sort of bonuses to her bluff do you think we can wangle? XD

Just sharing some delirium fueled ideas. (^_^)

Very much cheers and good wishes to all. (^_^)

Y'know, I've always stood by the idea that if you can describe it in a way that sounds cool enough, I'll try to make it work for you. And that sounds pretty cool. So I'll allow you to purchase the equipment - with one caveat. Because Freedom Town is a bit of a backwater and good alchemist supplies are fairly scarce, you will have to buy the tubes at a 20% cost markup.

No worries. With some more thought I shall go with four 'barrel's around a central rod (Much like a 'Pepper-box' arraignment) with a simple lever to turn them over. That will drop the weight down to about 8 pounds in all. I'll leave the 'better' looking idea for later. (^_^)

Still, thank'e muchly Master DM, Sir.

Very much cheers to all.

Male half-gnome? tattooed sorcerer 1 Hp 16 / 16 AC 12 (+8/+11 Perc; +1 Init; Fort +1, Ref +1, Will +5)

75 pp each is 750 gp each. There's also some money that I (personally) -- well, Jethro personally -- picked up, both from the bodies of the dead orcs as well as from Erwin's personal stash, that I haven't been given details of. At some point Jethro will remember and divvy it up among the group; right now, he's more worried about being eaten by wereboars than he is about how much money his body will be carrying.

Whenever you get around to it, Jethro, you count out the gold in the pouch and find 600 gold to divvy up as you please. The worth of the scrollcase requires an Appraise check. You find an additional 300 gold looted from the orcs.

Male half-gnome? tattooed sorcerer 1 Hp 16 / 16 AC 12 (+8/+11 Perc; +1 Init; Fort +1, Ref +1, Will +5)

Well, I'm in town. I'm sure there's an appraiser around.

Hell, I'd like to know what it's made of. I'll also do a quick detect magic on the case in case there's something odd going on there.

Cool. 900gp divided by 6 is 150 gp each, which when added to our 75 pp makes an even 1000 gold pieces.

With luck, I'll remember this before we actually leave town, so that people have a chance to buy stuff instead of carrying around useless heavy yellow metal.

I'll hang on to the scroll (and the case) for now.

Oh yeah. You all are encouraged to go shopping before you head out.

Trying to make sure all PCs stay caught up on the gold/magic items progression, it's pretty vital to making sure that Pathfinder stays balanced.

bah just go nuts with the surprise attack dm :)

Gryndar and Ausk both haven't posted in a long time. I'd like to continue on without them, but truthfully, you all know you're about to be ambushed, and I balanced the encounter with their contributions in mind.

I'm going to post a thread in the recruitment forums asking for two replacements. The game's on PAUSE MODE until then, but I do urge you to continue posting something light and easy on the discussion thread every day to keep the campaign alive.

It would even help me if you guys posted in the recruitment thread any thoughts you may have for the new recruits! Link is here:

Link.

So...yeah. Thanks for your patience guys. This is just a common problem with online PbPs.

Also, congrats Arwen, you're promoted. Because you're the last remaining deputy who was a local before the campaign began, you have the most "tenure" on this team. Therefore, you're head deputy. Yay!
