Sorry Jaxx! The gate was a mechanical contraption used specifically for this gully. You don't see signs of where the goblin tribe actually lives nearby, but you imagine they can't live far away from their mantrap.

Wondering if we can repurpose the location as an outpost, way station, etc... Along the trade route. If it is not too our of the way.

Guessing goblins didn't build it. So maybe dwarves?


You can attempt a knowledge: engineering roll. It'll be untrained, but give it a shot and I'll tell you what you can figure out.

Also, if we happen upon them in the cave, i will have requested that Arthur's floodlights be off, as even if she can tolerate the bright light, a break from it is nice.

I'm adding some candlerods to her posession. (And removing gp, of course.)


Very well, though you should bear in mind that the cave is not especially dark. There's a single unbroken path leading down to the central chamber, and as the party just noticed, the sun just came out. :)

Still, it's quite a bit darker than a normal Hold of Belkzen sunny day, I'll grant you that.

Yeah, i'm just adding candle rods because i realized she would like a duller light for when she doesn't have to have everyone else see perfectly.

And ok then, this is a non-issue as far as the floodlights go.

Though, a gold kobold in a cave approaching with a gigantic clockwork... Spider... Thing....
Defiantly going to be an interesting interaction.

Working as a project manager's assistant at Best Buy's corporate headquarters. Basically whenever there's an internal project that needs doing (currently I'm working on a security camera installation project) I'm the one who sets the schedule and coordinates all the technicians.

That works for me, especially because the deputies have been delayed by the goblin tribe's sabotage. My next post will be describing the camp that the deputies make and where it is. You two can saunter up anytime after that.

One problem though. You guys crafted stuff for each other in your inventories at character creation. That's legit, but you need to include that time spent in your backstory.

He has craft anywhere and things are pretty cheap for him, so crafting on the road shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Added a heavy crossbow and forty bolts to my inventory for 13.5 gp.

Actually, i haven't been riding with you.
Simply because i have 0 ranks in ride.


We haven't been going hard. Easy riding without tricks or tough terrain doesn't require a check.
Plus you're much slower than a "horse."

I think it would be somewhat challenging to ride a horse with another person.

Though, my size would help, i suppose.


Don't sweat it Ice. You can ride in peaceful situations on Cogsworth's walker without a check.
