The fiction is the only thing I haven't read. I really like this adventure (at least from the read through). My players will have problems with the RP exp, but that's more because the players always seem to think that the best way to handle difficult PCs is to Ignore/Kill them. I like the fast pace too. You could probably finish parts 1, 2, and 4 in a single night each. Only party 3 should take a while. I'll need to adjust the encounters somewhat since I have 5 players instaed of 4 and we'll likely do 20 point buy (but with strict controls to keep from dumping all but Str and Con).

I am still rocking out the good old "pending". I was suppose to start the game tonight. Pretty bumbed. It is not often that I am wanting to throw my money at a company and they don't take it. I got the subscription thinking it would be easier... Well maybe not...
Mine says "shipped" on the 13th. Going on 15 days now.

![]() |

If it still says pending, either when they went to take the money there was not enough and its waiting on the second go around or you are just that far down on the list. Its also possible that you have the order bundled with something else which will stop it until the other item is ready.
If it says shipped, you can track the item after approx x2 days through your order history. I pretty much live on the other side of the country and it typically takes x5 days for me.

Paizo can not reasonably be held accountable for the speed, or lack thereof, of the postal service.
Not that I care much because I have the pdf (and I understand Gencon delays), but my order was finalized on the 9th, but apparently was not received by the post office until the 26th...so there appears to be quite a lag between getting orders out and finalizing the sale

If you have questions or concerns regarding an order, please email or take to the customer service boards. I rarely notice customer service questions in product discussion threads as the threads typically move too fast for me to include them in my daily messageboard reconnaissance.
That being said, most subscription orders that only contained new August releases were shipped using our batch label process. These orders have pre-printed labels (which is when you get the shipping email) which are quickly added to packages. However, you'll note the email you recieved on August 12th, 13th or 14th says "A package containing X item(s) from Paizo Order #XXXXXXX is expected to ship from the Paizo warehouse [b]by Friday, August 23[b] via [shipping method]..." This is because there are a ton of subscriptions and pre-orders going out at once. Usually this process takes about a week. This August it has taken just over two weeks.
Currently, the Order History pages and My Subscription pages show the date the label was printed rather than the "should ship by August 23rd" date.
At this point, all the pre-printed label orders like this have been shipped and are in our carrier's hands. Tracking should then hopefully kick in by Wednesday or Thursday of this week. Mail Innovations (which is our standard mail shipper), does have a higher-than-usual frequency for missing scans of packages and the package will still be on its way even without tracking. USPS and International orders do not include tracking.
For orders that might still show pending, the warehouse is working on getting the last of the queue out as soon as possible. If you haven't seen a preorder or subscription order ship by Thursday night, email customer service or start an individual thread in the customer service boards
Thanks
sara marie

I've spent years in shipping and distribution; when a customer calls or emails and wants to know where their stuff is, you had better know where it is. Saying that they aren't accountable for the carrier is nonsense. The carrier is an extension of the seller. My money was given to Paizo and it is Paizo that is accountable to get me my merchandise. If they use pigeons and my pigeon gets shot down in St. Louis, I expect an email or call telling me they have another pigeon on the way to get my stuff and bring it to me.
Maybe I expect too much. They are a publisher, not a shipping company. But customer service should be universal and I am finding Paizo lacking in that lately.

This is related to this adventure path, but is also sort of a tangent of the thread somewhere on here that ask how it's possible for a Golarion religion to have any serious schisms when there are gods that take such and active role in the world. In the other thread it's about the more militant parts of the Sarenrae in Qadira.
This is more about Hulrun. Yes, he's an inquisitor and not a cleric and might very well not operate under the normal chain of command of the church of Iomedae, and yes he's only LN, but from the backstory it gave of him it seemed to show him being a major part of witch hunts based on hysteria in Kenabres' past, and tells how they most probably executed many innocent people and even people that weren't innocent but there was very little evidence against them.
In a place like Golarion where deities take such and active role in the world, and it's possible to communicate with them how do things like that happen, especially over a long period of time? If nothing else wouldn't somebody like Hulrun get the hint when his powers were stripped from him for doing such wrongdoing? Even as he's gotten older and he's starting to regret some of the past actions the only reasons given for him doing so are because of the possible public perception hit his faith might take and not because he was involved with the killing of innocent people or because he violated his faiths teachings.
Considering Iomedae is pretty much Golarion's standard LG paladin deity figure, you would think she would especially be upset by actions like that taken by members of her faith. Yet there seems to be no repercussions for Hulrun or any other members of the Iomedae's faith that did that.

There's some space set aside in Faiths and Philosophies about that. A sidebar and a couple paragraphs, IIRC. (It's also a plot point in Death's Heretic.)
Short answer is that direct questions of the gods require high level spells and are not particularly common. Also a bit of 'Gods work in mysterious ways' and/or 'Gods are too important to keep tabs on every worshipper'.

Even worshippers who are putting the entire fate of the world in jeopardy by their overzealous actions, by underminding crucial trust in the extremely necessary crusade to keep the world-destroying demon hordes in check? Unless I am mistaken, Iomedae is a local god of Golarion (hell, as far as I can tell even only Avistan and Garund, she doesn't seem to have a following in Tian Xia) and if those places are overrun by demons, she loses out big.

It could be argued that she saw this coming, and knew that she could accidentally change things for the worse if she were to intervene earlier. However, by allowing inquisitors to eat their brand name Big Brother O's, and continue the pursecution, events were allowed to unfold in such a way that the PCs were in the right place at the right time, and were able to become the Mythic Heroes they need to be. If I remember correctly, Deskari has been waiting for the right moment to spring this trap. Perhaps by allowing innocents to die, and allowing Deskari to see this, made it so Deskari would spring said trap. That way, instead of decades more war and suffering, the PCs would be able to solve this sooner rather than later. Again, 'Gods work in mysterious ways'. It's how I would swing it, at least, if my players ask.

James Jacobs wrote:Awwwwww.....Evil Midnight Lurker wrote:Will the iconics be assuming their mythic appearances in the art over the course of the Path?Nope.
Since the production schedules of the first few Adventure Path installments and the Mythic Adventures book were simultaneous, coordinating the looks of the mythic versions of the iconics from the book with the Adventure Path was impossible. That's the reason why the iconics on the cover aren't in their "mythic" mode as well.

Yeah, I really wish my hardcopy would arrive so I can take a goofy picture of me pointing at my name in the introduction to subject all 28 of my twitter-followers to.
Congrats on that by the way. That's really cool.

I could maybe see them not being able to keep tabs on every worshiper to that level as the gods of Golarion aren't omniscient, but clerics, paladins of LG gods, and inquisitors I would think would be much more focused on, especially when they are an important person of the faith or lead a strategically important city in a war that a god highly cares about.
Also if those classes aren't kept tab of does that mean low level people no longer have to worry about having their abilities being taken away or having repercussions of their actions that go against their faith if nobody around them notices?
One of the worse aspects of it could be that if others of the faith see a member, especially among those classes, do things that should be very contrary to their beliefs yet not have any negative effects of it like others have had happen in the past when they violated their god's rules it could be used as justification that they are right and the god essentially agrees with them. They could just point to the fact they still retain their abilities as proof their actions are considered right.

I'm pretty excited for this AP. I went out and bought the first book, along with several others (The Worldwound, Book of the Damned Volume 2: Lords of Chaos, and Demons Revisited), which is kind of new for me. 'Till now, I've only ever bought Pathfinder rules books (with the exception of the anniversary edition of ROTRL; only AP I own--it was so convenient, all bound up in one book like that). These are the first campaign setting books I've purchased.
Can't wait for the rest of the AP to be released. Though, I wonder--where will Paizo go from here? The Worldwound AP is a pretty big deal. What can possibly come afterwards?

Hey there, detect magic!
lucky for you, we already know not only what the AP after this one will be, we know about the one after that, too!The next AP is "The Mummy's Mask", and you can learn more about it here.
The one after that is "Iron Gods", and you can learn more about it here

Personally, I am excited about what could be sanctioned for PFS. (I am running this as an online campaign in a few days, however, and I love that too <3)
Also Sin Seekers. I WANT ONE.

Same here. I was really hoping that this and Carrion Crown would both pop at or near the same time, as they are the two I really want to run in PFS. Not sure how the Mythic would be handled though.
Probably looking at an online game as well.

Pre-Generated Characters
I am interested to know if there are any pre-generated characters for this series... I have a bunch of D&D 4th Ed players who want to play, but it would be better to get them rolling right out the gate playing the game and experiencing this series with out the tedious task of creating characters and etc...

The NPC guide part of the PRD has the iconics, I think. And I think their stats should conform to what the AP designers expect. There are no mythic pregens, but you don't need to worry about that until near the end of this adventure, so that might also help some.

Legendary Games should have a "Righteous Heroes" book of pre-gens out soonish.
True statement. I just put the finishing touches on the manuscript for eight distinctly awesome pregenerated 1st level PCs ready to go for the Wrath of the Righteous AP. All the art is already in. Jason has the proofreaders poring over it and the layout crew lined up to get it published soon. If you want more insight into what it contains (including a few previews), you can read all about it in the following thread.
