I will have a level 3 after the 24th of March

If you're GMing an OutPost game and have not yet mustered your table, could you please do so in the next day or so? We would like to know about any issues early enough we can take care of them.
If people don't muster then would that open up some spots in "full" games?

Is there any clarification on if a player can play a pregen while their current character is in a scenario, then apply the credit (the pregen earned) to their current character after the current character’s scenario is over? For example, my character is currently in a PBP for 1-03 but is signed up for 1-05 on OutPost in March. I don't think we'll be finished by the time OutPost starts. (I know 1-00 credit can be delayed until level 3 to reap all the rewards.) Also, if that’s acceptable, does it screw up Chronicle sheet submission?
I’m asking because I’m wondering if I need to drop from the OutPost games I signed up for. The sooner I know, the sooner the slot can be given to another player.
Ventiine |
Also, on page 7 of the Starfinder Society Roleplaying Guild Guide is says: "You may apply credit for an adventure once your Starfinder Society Roleplaying Guild character reaches the level of the pregenerated character used to play through it. For example, if you played a 8th-level pregenerated character, you would apply the credit once your character reaches 8th level. To apply credit, follow the steps below." So... if I play a Pregen level 4, does that mean I can't apply the game until my actual character reaches level 4? Or can I apply it at level 2 or 3? The word "may" is confusing me. Like you can but you don't have to? I'm confused, lol

Will the following players gather for my Outpost run of the First Mandate here
Agent Eclipse
EwokBanshee
Christopher Wasko
Lupulus
Redelia
And also the player with the PFS ID 74294 who did not put in a player or character name

Hey everyone,
It's now 1 week until the start of OutPost. If any of you are signed up for a game but the game has not mustered yet, please let me know so that we have enough time to deal with any problems.
GMs, please make sure that you have put a link to your game in the spreadsheet. If you have players who have not yet checked it, please send them a PM; we would like to fill any empty spots in a few days.
If there are any other problems, let me know and we'll try to get everything sorted out.

I am pretty sure my game has not mustered yet.
Unrelated, is anyone thinking of running Incident at Absalom Station after Outpost? I only play by PbP and I want to get at least 6 missions worth of credit on that alien archive boon sheet before June, but I will only have 3 missions played after Outpost.

My two cents: You won't be able to get through that AP that quickly. I suggest you play three games with three characters simultaneously. That should get you the three playthroughs before time is up.

Right... how do you find all the games you have posts in these days?
Arrghhhhh.
This is a known issue. Meanwhile try paizo.com/people/yourname/campaigns

New Private Messages aren't showing up as new anywhere that I can see. You might want to manually check if you think you might be getting one.
Redelia |
They made a bunch of changes, and they realize that some problems crept in. The next few days they plan on fixing some things.
I would recommend that everyone check their private messages (available through the my account pull-down menu) so that you don't miss anything important with OutPost starting up so soon.

@Geraint, they are here.
And I'll echo the big round of applause for all involved in their creation. Bravo!

I've been having some trouble lately trying to distinguish bold-face. I've personally gone as far as to download a font-replacer plugin that makes the changes a bit more apparent, but I've also left a note on website feedback (link) to highlight the issue. I any one feels the same way, feel free to add to the discussion. I would ask that you keep it civil and not be overly demanding. Asking for a font change after a website design this thorough is a really big deal, though in this case I think some change is justified.
DM Kludde |
What are you using as the source of your notifications? I'm using the
paizo.com/people/[YOUR ALIAS]/campaigns
link, which has working fine so far.
In other news, the code tag is my new
new friend
Medrick |
For some reason, for some campaigns, the campaigns screen fails to say there are new posts. It has only happened to one game so far but I missed almost a full week of pre-game banter because of it.
Charli Poshkettle |
The code tag only works for people who have the Oladon extensions. I don’t use them because then I would be tempted to use tags that most people cannot see.
Hmm
Hadir, Psychic Knight |
Code tags don't render for me, but they show up in the plain text so I at least get the idea.
Kludde, are the extensions causing your bold issues as well? Bold still shows up fine for me and overall I think I really like the new font.

Hello Everyone:
We have just instituted our first temporary ban on a player. The tables in which this player was involved have been notified. Please understand that we do not ban lightly. In this case, this person’s conduct was harmful to both the other players involved and also to the proper functioning of the Lodge.
Due to his manner of dropping multiple tables last week, Emmjay is banned from all ACG, PFS and SFS games that recruit in Flaxseed, Castamir and Cottonseed Playtest Lodge, as well as the lodges at Myth-Weavers and RPGgeek and all PbP official events. It does not extend to games that recruit outside the lodges, including invitation only (private) PFS games. The temporary ban ends March 11, 2019.
The issue here was not a GM stepping down from games but the way in which this was done. We all have moments when we need to cut back our games. When a GM has to drop a game, please make certain to make the transition as easy as possible for your players and a replacement GM, and do not go out of your way to make it harder for them. Any GM can always ask on the PbP lodges for a replacement GM, or contact the VO team.
If you feel the need to discuss this ban you are free to do so, although we ask you to do so with respect for the forum guidelines, especially with regards to being respectful to each other. This courtesy in particular extends to Emmjay, whether he participates in the discussion or not.
Thanks you so much for understanding,
Hmm and the Play by Post VO Team

At first I was upset over the timing of this announcement just after OutPost started, but now I dig it. I am so happy that OutPost is helping people see that the game goes on, no matter what campaign changes are coming for us.
Hmm
Okay, so now I know about 2nd Edition. Curious, I distinctly recall playing second edition in the nineties. It's a good edition, though, I can recommend it.
I mean, seriously, I hope they bring Planescape back.

I remember cracking open 2nd Ed in the way back when it was released and my gaming group all making the call that night to swap over from AD&D. I loved second edition and enjoyed exploring the wide range of settings (though KaraTur was a step backward) and I thought the opus of gaming was either in Ravenloft or Dark Sun (I only gmd dark sun, still bitter I never got to play it).
When 3rd ed came out I cracked the book and was disappointed. I handed the book back and quit role playing.
A decade later a mate rang me to talk about this game he just grabbed the Beta of, it was called Pathfinder. I cracked open the.pdf and liked what I saw.
I’m hoping 2nd Ed Pathfinder does for me what 2nd Ed D&D did, and not what 3rf Ed did.

Hear that Shifty. I remember the AD&D days. Nothing ever really captivated me like the original PHB and Unearthed Arcana until I first read the Pathfinder Core Rulebook. Still really enjoy PF1, but willing to see what PF2 has to offer. No matter what happens, there is a big part of me hoping PF1 PFS PbP continues for a long long time to come.
Hey, here's an idea. Why not let 3PP's start publishing sanctioned PF1 PFS content ala the WotC Dungeon Master's guild? Think that would solve a lot of the angst surrounding PF2. Anyway, just a thought.

Thank goodness. I was starting to think I was the only one from those days around here!

Chris Marsh wrote:Thank goodness. I was starting to think I was the only one from those days around here! What Color was your first box?
While I OWN the older one, the first one I spent my allowance on was red. I'm old, not ancient ;-)
GM Poblano Pepper |
O the fun times I have had with the old Crimson colored box. I still buy Dice Blanks every once in a while and "write" the numbers on them just for that nostalgia feeling.
Wicked Brew |
Oh man, my first box did not have a color, it was as full color image with a wizard and a knight about to fight a dragon. So I guess that makes me ancient.

How soon should we expect Pact Worlds to be added to the Additional Resources document?
GM Hmm |
I hope soon. They have the new guy on the designer team working on sanctioning stuff, after all. I looooooooove Pact Worlds. I have been using the setting fluff as a GM and player already, just waiting on the mechanics. It gave such richness to the setting!
