With regards to the stair fight, how long is the staircase? The maps only show the rooms of the level, but the encounter suggests that it takes place, between the levels. And then the "creature" is attacking "above them"

1. How experienced are you with PFS2/2e/pbp so far (I'm mostly just curious but try and include at least 1 new player in all my low level pbps) Quite a bit. (See GM Gustavef) Mostly behind the screen but I get to play from time to time. 2. Something awesome about yourself. I am a defrocked IT professional who has become and actor. Though I still have lots of down time so I run quite a few tables online, (mix of PbP and VTT) I also still think Pluto is a planet. 3. I like recruiting players rather than characters but I would like bit of info on the character you're most interested in bringing. A brief bit of description/background/mechanics is plenty. I am thinking of Syd Tern, a (half or full) orc sewer cleaner and "locator of things." from Absalom. Though taking an extended leave to get out of the big city and settled down in Otari. But strange things afoot cuaght his attention and is willing to pitch in and see what he can do. Mechanically Ranger of some sort with the "Ruin Delver" background.

@Hmm Under the old system Modules were the most time efficient way to table credits as a GM. I used them quite a bit in my final sprint to 150. So I am mixed on allowing that to be the case in PF2 as well. This current is correction to that loop hole. Weather or not it is an over correction is now a matter of "How much real time is acceptable for 1 table credit" I can run Master of the Fallen Fortress in under 4 hours and get two table credits. Gallows of Madness is about 6 per part. I Ran Ruby Phoenix in just under 8. Now that I think about it. I really think part of the problem is when Modules went from 32 pages to 64 pages. Then it when from 1 to 3 chronicles per module. Each being 1 level of XP and 2 Table credits. We got spoiled. Starfinder then went to 1 chronicle for a 64 page AP, (Though an 64 page AP has more paged dedicated to support material) But, outside the early Dead Suns), those took about 10 to 16 hours per book.

How much time it takes to play a Module has always been an issue with me and getting PFS credit. Something like Gallows of Madness could be done in about 6 hours per part. And yet that is worth 2 table credits and a level of XP each. I have not seen how "Sanctioned only" Content for AP plays out. Under the old system certain modules were great for quickly leveling and/or getting table credits (Master of the Fallen Fortress -- GO Harsk!) They maybe take a full 8 hours (but most less) So table credit was about right, but you get accelerated XP. The issue is that Modules are not designed with the pacing of PFS in mind. So playing one under PFS rules can very widely.

Hilary Moon Murphy wrote: I had not realized that it was only 4 sessions. I was looking at it as 6-9, which is often my experience with 3 part modules that are not Gallows of Madness. If the adventures are each the size of a scenario, the compressed chronicle might make sense. My quick take is about 6 to 8 hours per part. But i can also see going longer with groups that want to explore and get in to the background. Also if I were going to use this as part of a campaign I may exploit some of the other hooks.

Ferious - I see it as two intersecting issues. * Should everything printed be playable via PFS?
I found Godsmouth Hersey, the Emerald Spire, and Ruby Phoenix Tournament as good additions for PFS. The chopping up of APs and Dragons Demand did a disservice to the Adventure at the expense of creating more PFS playable content. Right now the main thing preventing going back to the 32-page format is the editorial pipeline. So how do we find that happy medium?

So I want to take a step back and ask: "How much new PFS playable content should be made available each month?" At the end of PFS 1 we were getting two scenarios (8 hours) 1 AP (~12 hours sanctioned) and the occasional Adventure (4-20?) Right now we get just the two scenarios and one quest (9 hours). So a big drop. Personally I was never a fan of APs for PFS play. In order to play them it required odd cuts and since you did not level though the book, you would play an AP then other things then back to the AP. With Adventures they were all over the place. Gallows of Madness gave you three levels. Ruby Phoenix Tournament gave you 1. At least you could play them with out interruption. Personally, I like the newer model. But I do agree that it would be nice to get more hours of sanctioned PFS every month. Right now PFS2 is having the same starting pains of SFS. Everyone wants more now. But by next Gencon there will be a decent critical mass of scenarios and quests that playing once a week(ish) would be doable again. Ideally I would like to see something the size and scope of Godsmouth Heresy every few months for PFS play

Lore skill usefulness will vary between campaigns. The Age of Ashes Player guide suggests many useful backgrounds/lore that would be good. Fall of Plaugestone has others. PFS has its own backgrounds and training that can give you additional lore. And I suspect those would be commonly used in PFS scenerios

The Wolf Animal companion states: "Your companion is a wolf or other canine creature, such as a dog" So you can call your companion a goblin dog, it just uses the stats listed for the animal companion.

Crafting allows you to "Earn Income" at your level regardless of the location you are in. For PFS this means you can earn income at level-2 in cash or at level in value of a crafted item. You don't need to spend all the time crafting. At level 5 a 4gp discount (or 12gp if you do it over two scenarios) is still better than 2gp (or 4gp) in cash you would get with normal "Earn Income" For home games, it allows for "doing something" while time passes. In general you are not supposed to make "great wealth" during down time. Or why else would you go adventuring :)
You are able to locate a good area to get the station which has all the components Tradock was looking for as well as some additional presents he felt like picking up. All in all you have 7 packages of gear to carry. Each taking up one bulk and one hand (or similar appendage)to carry. Tradock is playing with his squox on a lead in a near by green while you get the last of the packages. Place yourselves anywhere you would like on the map and let me know who is carrying how many packages. The area is busy and crowded with other shoppers so moving around is all difficult terrain as well as the crowd is providing soft cover for anyone not adjacent.

Coming somewhat late to this, I would like to add my favor for either making it only one session or one session that a VC has to observe. The other two sessions can be VLs or other 5-splater. Also if you are going to require three, then I would suggest (after GenCon and Pax unplugged) to allow for GMs to request reviews when they sign up for the big conventions. Also if you allow for other 5-splaters and VLs to review, they can volunteer a review slot as well for those cons.

And so it Begins You are in Absalom, the mighty City at the Center of the World, and you’ve always longed to explore one of the countless ruins of failed conquerors that litter the plains outside the city’s walls. You’ve heard rumors that one of the sealed siege castles has been laid open by a minor earthquake. Word on the street is that no one has yet entered the tower, which folks are calling the “Fallen Fortress.” What better way to start a life of excitement and adventure than by exploring its long-abandoned, dusty halls and perhaps claiming its ancient treasures? You get a notice to meet at the Wayward Finder. A man with a noticeable limp walks in and towards you. He clothing would be considered the height of fashion, about a century ago. He voice is low and wispy with a strong Ustalavian accent. "Oh good, many of you have responded to my notice. Yes? Well, it is still quite simple. There is a crumbling tower near hear that has long been abandoned, that has an artifact of significant importance. A rare and valuable McGuffin. I would go myself, my adventuring days are behind me." He notions towards his left leg. "But, you are all young, healthy, and uncursed. You should have no problems. Aside from any other spoils you find, I offer you this sum of gold for return of the valuable McGuffin."

New Stars, New Lodge! If they do as much as they did with Pathfinder Beta to 1E, I should be fine. I expect much discussion and change from the published playtest to the final A few thoughts. I liked the idea of the Unchained action economy. I wanted to try it. I like the Unchained NPC/Monster rules. It feels a little wonky at level 1-2 in Starfinder, but for the most part it seems to play out fine. Yes the Mobs have much higher to-hit bonuses, but I have yet to have anyone die in SFS. I am a little mifted about restarting stars again. GM Upaynao wrote:
