The situation was spiraling and Seoni knows she needs to be prepared for anything. The anger and grief fueling this woman will do nothing, but quickly escalate her already erratic behavior.

"Whatever injustices you've faced, you're doing nothing but adding to your own anger and grief. You may inflict a temporary inconvenience, but this won't level the scales. It won't make what they did any better. You'll feel nothing, but emptiness no matter what you let your anger sway you to do."

Kaeldra is puzzled by this odd room and the peculiar way the man seemed to know something he did not care to share with her companions. Her usual neutral facial expression shows her confusion and distrust of the situation. She looks around the room with scrutiny before turning her attention to her companions attempts to investigate the odd assortment of objects.

"This has been a very strange assignment so far though the instructions were straight forward. Something is afoot here."

Kaeldra is disgusted with the woman before her. Once the suggestion is made to search the house, she agrees instantly.

"We need all the evidence we can get so she gets put where she belongs and these children get a true champion who fight to ensure they have a stable environment not fraught with cruelty and dishonesty."

Kaeldra manages to keep her displeasure from creeping into her features. The woman has answers they need so acting overly aggressive may not give the results they need. She obviously is putting on a show for her and her companions, but she believes the villagers don't know half of what she's done. Kaeldra waits patiently for her explanation though she's sure she's a pro and will cover her tracks. The villagers almost seemed afraid her. She would find no such reaction from her companions.

Kaeldra's blood boils as she hears the boys' innocent description of their duties.

What a fiend! Using children like this for her own personal and selfish gain

She manages to bit her tongue and keep her face as neutral as possible for the children's sake. Kaeldra has seen the darker side of humanity many times before, but it never gets any less appalling. Especially when children are involved, much less orphans.

Kaeldra whispers quietly to her companions so the boys don't over hear, "This woman's true colors didn't take long to reveal themselves, that's for sure. However, just because she's despicable doesn't mean there isn't a child in need of the remedy. We should keep digging."

Kaeldra frowns deeply after hearing Olysta's concerns about the orphanage's headmistress.

There really isn't much sacred left in this world.

"Like my comrades said, we'll deliver this remedy swiftly and make sure the truly needy get what they need. If she's abusing charity, we will find out and she will be removed from her post. What a poor example to send to the children!"

Kaeldra closes her eyes for a moment trying to regain her composure. The thought that the poor children of the orphanage are being taken advantage of sends her blood boiling. She opens her eyes and looks at her comrades and Olysta earnestly.

"I apologize. I let me temper get the better of me. I shouldn't rush to make judgements when I don't know what's really happening yet. Rest assured, the truth will be discovered and handled appropriately."

Once the list reaches Kaeldra, she studies it carefully trying to commit the list to memory. One of the items stands out to her more than the others.

"If we vote on where to go first, I think visiting this Ollysta Zadrian and delivering the medicine to the person in need should require our immediate attention. Surely, if someone requires such a remedy their disposition isn't ideal. I would hate to delay this task and something bad happen to them as a result."

She stands from her seat getting ready to set out on their adventure no matter what order they complete the tasks in.

Kaeldra, a medium height blonde sorceress dressed in robes appropriate for adventure, walks through the door and scans the room quickly looking to see if she happened to arrive before Valsin. Upon seeing that he has yet to arrive, she lets out a relieved breath.

"I was afraid I would be rudely late to the party, but it looks like I arrived just in time after all!"

The diversity in the room makes her smile. Her journey so far has exposed her to so many new people and things even though this will only be her second mission. From the looks of it, this mission will be just as exciting as the last.

"Hello, everyone! I'm Kaeldra. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance."

She takes an open seat nearest to the door, and looks around the room once again this time a little more appraising of her surroundings. The room looked normal enough with the atmosphere that you'd expect to come with a Pathfinder Society member. She places her idle hands in her lap and waits patiently on Valsin to arrive with their mission briefing.

Kaeldra enters the room a moment too late to realize the room was nauseatingly smelly.

Kaeldra manages to steel herself against the smell. She takes aim at her closest target imaging a nice ball of acid would be just the thing she needs.

Kaeldra follows her companions to the stairs and begins her ascent up.

"Did you know that in some cultures bats are powerful symbols and omens of good luck? Even better luck is to escape a swarm of bats without injury. I think this journey will end pleasantly after all."

Kaeldra chuckles softly and shakes her head. This journey was definitely one for the Society record books.

"I see we have ourselves another exciting room in the Tower of Terror! It's really trying to outdo itself, isn't it? I mean, why have regular boring undead skeleton when you can have a FLAMING undead skeleton!?"

Kaeldra shakes her head with amusement. Her fingers begin to tingle with her arcane powers. She imagines the skeleton could use more freezing temperatures in it's undead life, and she was more than willing to help a foe in need...

Kaeldra can't believe their luck on this adventure as she looks at the shocker lizard. A chilling thought crossed her mind and she begins to look around the room once again.

"They don't travel in packs do they?"

Kaeldra remains amused by her colorful companions. This is going to be one memorable, crazy misadventure. Her amusement is short lived as Kamda bursts open the door and triggers combat.

"Well, at least I'll never be bored with you guys around!"

The awful smell hits Kaeldra's senses a few seconds after the door opens. She tries to recover from the initial shock of the smell...

Fortitude Save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10

The smell proves far too strong for her half-elf senses. She begins to feel sick, but with the danger in front of her she tries to shoulder through it. Kaeldra takes a step forward and plants her feet firmly as she tries to ground herself. Her magic begin to rustle and form at her fingertips.

The smell overcomes her again, and the magic begins to fade. It proves too much for her. She hopes her comrades won't suffer for her failure.

Kaeldra takes 10 to climb as safely as possible. Heights like this with naught but a rope are not her ideal situations. For a moment she considers craftsmen and those that do honest, sturdy work. She arrives to the landing with her comrades and surveys the surroundings. There's not a lot of options to debate.

"Well, which way shall we go? Perhaps we should check either options with magic for any leads?"

Kaeldra hones her senses and looks for any magical signatures nearby with a Detect Magic spell.

Kaeldra watches Kamda as he expertly (as far as she is concerned) scales the tower wall. Her stomach does little flips as she realizes that she will also have to make the climb. Her outward appearance does not betray her thoughts, though. There will be greater tasks ahead of them that will require more steel than this.

"I have some extra rope should we need it. Seems like bringing a grappling hook was definitely the right call to make! Well done! Someone should probably keep an eye out. We'll be exposed once we make the climb, but we should have the better vantage point if anyone tries to make trouble."

She turns away from the wall and looks over the horizon as best as her half-elf eyes would allow in the sun.

Kaeldra watches as her companions try to battle the spider. Finally, they are able to make some progress against their enemy, but care still needs to be taken as long as Ulfgar is still entangled and vulnerable. Kaeldra cycles through her options deciding that using her magic is still her best option. She feels the magic crackle at her finger tips as she calls on her power...

"I personally prefer being towards the back of the line, if that's okay? Everyone stay alert once we enter, the stability of this place could change at any given moment."

She looks at the tower warily. If the damage on the outside was any indication of what the inside looked liked, they were in for one hell of an adventure.

Kaeldra surveys the battlefield and discerns which of the dogs would be the best to attack first. She decides that the dog attacking Fangtooth that's closest to her is her best bet (Orange). She calls on her magic and feels the power surging to her hand as she prepares to attack...

Kaeldra lobs an Acid Splash spell at her opponent. The eerie sound of acid hissing can be heard as it soars through the air towards the wild dogs.

"I almost feel sorry for those dogs. They have no idea just how deep in they just got themselves."

She keeps her eyes trained on the battlefield, hands at the ready.

Kaeldra laughs softly at the dwarf's enthusiasm. "Sir Kamda, surely we should get all the information Mr. Dreng here has to offer? We would be quite foolish to make the same mistakes that may have costed Balenar his life. While I wholeheartedly agree that time is of the essence, we need to approach this carefully. Alone or not, a Pathfinder Society member is no easy foe to vanquish. We could use some more information on the terrain between here and the tower."

Kaeldra listens with rapt attention to Dreng's briefing. She nods in agreement with her teammate's inquiries into the fate of Balenar. She tries to recall anything significant she's heard about the tower and it's locale since she's been here. Most of what she recalls falls in line with Dreng's postulation about Balenar's fate. "Unfortunately, it sounds like Balenar let himself become too enraptured by the lure of fame and fortune, and perhaps did not make all the necessary preparations before leaving on his adventure. Surely were he in his right mind, he would have acknowledged that not having someone to watch your back in a place that like would be foolhardy at best." She shakes her head and sighs. Too many adventurers are lost to situations such as this. However, there is hope that he is still alive and needs help. She awaits Dreng's reply to her teammates. That information would shape what will form the framework for their plan's to rescue or recover Balenar.

Kaeldra gives a small chuckle, "I'm actually not a wizard. I'm a sorcerer. If I were a wizard, I'd be more than happy to share my knowledge with you." She shrugs her shoulders nonchalantly. "I apologize for any confusion." Kaeldra gestures towards the bat nestled in her partner's robes. "I'm rather jealous of your bat familiar! Bats are such underrated, fantastic creatures."

Kaeldra grasps Kamda's extended hand in earnest. "Pleased to meet you as well, sir dwarf. I'm Kaeldra Starfell, a sorcerer at your service. I do have a certain penchant for fire so I'd be more than happy to set fire to any orcs or whatever else has the misfortune of getting on our bad side." She winks, and takes a deep drink from her mead. "I take it you've met Dreng before? What is he like? This will actually be my first official mission with the Society. I'm eager to get started."

A medium height half-elf woman walks into the lodge with short blonde hair that frames her face and accents her elven features. Her eyes are a vibrant hue of green that's easily reminiscent of the lush green forests that elves are known to inhabit. Her clothing is a bit travel worn, but still in good condition with dust about her boots and the edges of her robes. The robes are royal purple in color, and plain in most respects, but well made. She is adorned with several traveling/battle aids such as belt pouches, bandoliers, and any adventurer's must: a backpack. She does a quick pass over her surroundings before deciding to head to the bar. She finds an empty stool and sits down making herself comfortable. She motions to the barkeep to place her order.

Her voice sounds soft and gentle, but not meek, "I'd like a bowl of your stew and a mug of mead, please." Her eyes twinkle a bit as she places her order. Having a bowl of hearty stew with a mug of mead is just the way she prefers to begin or end any adventure.

Level 1 female Sorcerer looking for a game. I'm new to Pathfinder Society and PbP (Not new to Pathfinder). Can't wait to meet everyone and get into a game!
