Elowyn Tyykeritassu |
"Well then, what say you all on how to deal with this reptile? Ambush, parlay, detour?" Elowyn asks the others.
Kamda Stoneheart |
Kamda shrugs.
It ain't tryin' to start no fight. Why would we be wantin' ta go after it? Just shut tha durned door and move on, I say.
Giri the Oni |
"I see no need to harm such a creature if it cares not to bother us." Giri states. "We should ascend the stairs to the next floor and be done with this task posthaste." remarks the Nagaji warrior.
He moves towards the stairs and begins to climb them, keeping an eye out for traps and the like.
Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
Natula Icosagon Thako |
"Elowyn, you're I suppose good with beasts. Why don't you try to calm it down so we can search the room?"
Elowyn Tyykeritassu |
"This one is from the world of magiks. Not really my forte. maybe we can immobilize or incapacitate it if we really need to."
Natula Icosagon Thako |
"Fine." Natula starts charging up a bolt of freezing cold the sort that she used on the dogs outside.
Giri the Oni |
Giri will happily follow the party, but will not participate in the slaughter of an animal that has shown no aggression.
"If you wish to hunt this creature, then I will take no part." states the Oni. "Killing animals, even magical ones, just to find potential treasure is abhorrent and I will not do so." says the nagaji as he waits by the door, placing his tetsubo down on the ground to signify his pacifistic intent.
Ulfgar Dankill |
"A em gonna go up with Giri. If there's no need to kill the creature, let it live. It isn't big enough to tell a boasting tale about later, and it doesn't seem to help with our search for Balenar."
With this, he follows Giri up.
Natula Icosagon Thako |
"Fine." Natula lets out an exasperated sigh. She lets the arcane energies dissipate, points her index finger at the lizard and makes a *Pwew* sound. "I'll be back."
She heads for the stair.

A black stone altar sits at the end of this large chamber. The crumbling remains of wooden benches sag in front of it beneath rotting ceiling tapestries. Carved symbols and writings snake along the walls. The burnt corpses of two troglodytes lie on the floor in the center of the room.
From the doorway, Giri can see one skeleton standing guard, wreathed in flames.
The first obvious action will likely trigger the engagement

Kamda takes a peek around the corner and grins.
Oy! Ye kilt some o' tha stinkin' lizard men! That's alright be meself! Whats yer name, o' burny skeleton?
As the dwarf carries on a polite conversation, he advances slowly toward the skeleton, and when he's close enough, he does his best to decapitate it!
Stupid durned skeletons. Ain't nothin' good ever come from raisin' tha dead... Saw a play once in Korvosa called "Dinosaur Park" where some necromancer raised a bunch o' dead dinos. Dint end well, I tell ye...

"I see we have ourselves another exciting room in the Tower of Terror! It's really trying to outdo itself, isn't it? I mean, why have regular boring undead skeleton when you can have a FLAMING undead skeleton!?"
Kaeldra shakes her head with amusement. Her fingers begin to tingle with her arcane powers. She imagines the skeleton could use more freezing temperatures in it's undead life, and she was more than willing to help a foe in need...

Giri cracks his neck as he see fighting erupt. "Now, undead I got no problem with cutting down." he remarks, choosing the one next to Kamda.
He moves into a flank, hoping that the skeleton isn't quick enough to strike him and tries to bring down his tetsubo on the creature. Provokes if the creature has Combat Reflexes.

Reflex Save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16
Kamda gets his shield up in time, letting it absorb the heat from most of the flames.
The durned things 'splode?! Whose blasted idea was that?!
Ulfgar Dankill |
Ulfgar moves closer to the second skeleton, taking up a protective position for Natula. He readies himself to strike when the skeleton gets closer. Dwarven longaxe, Reach weapon
"I got yer back"
Giri the Oni |
@Kamda: You are up.
Giri shields himself from the bone and fire, deflecting a good amount, but leaving his forearm singed. "Ranged attacks might be best..." Giri proposes.

The altars still contain their silver altar services, worth 100 gp altogether, as well as two silver holy symbols of Nethys.
In addition, a divine scroll rests atop each altar.

Giri the Oni |
"Perhaps the key is in the room with the lizard or perhaps it has been lost to time. Should we just try to break through the wall?" asks Giri as he readies his tetsubo to break through the wall.
