Engashez and Fazgyn can deduct that the portal must be in the nearby section of sewer once connected to an unfinished section of underground tunnels.

For the price of a (in this scenario not very useful) magic item you get a combat monster

Depends on initiative order I guess. If the order was as posted then Tarragon does not get an extra attack this round as he would not jhave known to delay.

In a F2F game people would talk more and just say "I'm going to cast haste in a combat situation, so delay". As the GM said on discord, he's fine with Tarragon and the Professor having the extra attack.

With the different timezones of the players it's almost impossible to coordinate tactics within a reasonable time without some leniency from the GM. :-)

That wasn't how it was back in the day.

In 5+ years of editing the PFS1 guide, I have never come across that rule. Certainly it was not a rule any of us on the guide team intentionally added.

I'm quite sure this rule was once in effect and that it's older than 5 years.

Generally, if an important moment arrives and you can squeeze a bit more out based on another player’s expertise, I am cool retconning that in. But that important moment isn’t today.

Also the damage done was precisely enough to beat the creature, although it didn't realize that immediately! :-P

Lol, sounds like we are playing a video game.

I actually learned how to play D&D during my time in the Army, so I have a tendency to use military terms when talking about characters and tactics :)

One of the first things I ever had published was a 3pp class called the battle lord that had a bunch of military themes and inspirations in it.

This is funny as Steven is actually still military (If I'm not mistaken). I guess airforce uses different terminology and/or that they play more video games! :-D

Ok, one of my PCs (Sparky Fantastico) was briefly returned to the lodge. As he doesn't want to waste an action, he's using his wand of Haste (cl5) on himself before being returned.

If the Head GM allows and there are other pathfinders there that are going back as well, he would like to include up to 4 of them in the haste, so they would arrive back in the Tapestry with 4 rounds of haste left.

June
Pathfinder Society Scenario #10–22: Passing the Torch, Part 1: Who Wears the Mask (Tier 12–18)

July
Pathfinder Society Scenario #10–23: Passing the Torch, Part 2: Who Speaks for the Ten (Tier 12–18)

So it looks like the high tier characters get two new scenarios to cap off season 10 and PF1. But lower sub-tiers (anything under 12) sees no new content (and more pointedly, no season-cap scenario) during the last two months of season 10?

Is that the final list of content for PF1? Is there any kind of multi-table (or better yet, multi-tier single table) special to provide some kind of story cap for characters who won't pass into second edition and yet won't be able to play a tier 12+ scenario?

Asking for players (like myself) who haven't played often enough, or long enough to have a tier 12 character.

Two points I want to make:

1. So, the escalation wasn't due to the PbP, it was due to the saumen kar seeing you, hailing you, you immediately casting spells and so on, and apparently continuing to ravage the animals around you. He made one Sense Motive check when LifeLover drew their wand, and realized it wasn't hostile, but then rolled a nat 1 when Lilybeth dismissed the woolly rhino. You don't know how long you've been observed, but since you do know that saumen kar see themselves as guardians of the north, and you just downed two polar bear and "disintegrated" a woolly rhino, he probably feels you're not friends of nature.

What I meant is that in a FaceToFace game, we could have potentially seen that the saumen kar didn't completely trust us yet (" the giant casually moves his axe from his shoulder into a two-handed grip.") and we might have acted differently.

Yeah, Pathfinder Society is a living campaign which has been running for more than 10 years now, so there's a lot of information, some of which is now conflicting due to the very nature of the campaign.

Freedom of Movement

In addition to preventing a character from being grappled and several other nasty conditions, freedom of movement enables the target to move and attack normally while underwater. Thus, a creature benefitting from freedom of movement can swing weapons without penalties (though objects that leave its possession, like thrown weapons or ammo from ranged weapons, lose this benefit), lift objects without drag, and walk along the bottom at full speed. The creature automatically succeeds at all Swim checks as the water offers no significant resistance to its movement. If the creature has the ability to do so, it can fly or use spells like air walk to freely move around as if it were in air. Creatures who need just the movement benefits from freedom of movement without the benefits against grapple, paralysis, and magic effects that hinder movement should consider the lower-level spell free swim on page 59.
