"This plant is eating emotion, love and hate and can give it also. But it is intelligent right Professor? Can we try to talk to it and ask for his pollen? We can also say to the villagers what this plant does. I am sure we can find a peaceful solution for the time being. After all, this realm will disappear soon. "
"Good question, but I'm afraid my knowledge is lacking. Maybe Iason knows a bit about these creatures as well!"
The professor offers Iason two vials.
"These might help jog your memory"

In addition, all spellcasters must attempt this check at the start of their turns if they are concentrating on an active spell or effect. Failing it means that they cease concentrating on the spell or effect.

@the professor and Wadi: Please a will save DC 18. Targeted by mindwipe: You erase a portion of the target’s mind and experiences, inflicting 2 temporary negative levels on the target for 1 day per caster level. If the target is a spellcaster who must choose and prepare spells in advance, each negative level imposed by mindwipe also causes the target to lose one prepared spell from her highest level of spells known for each of her spellcasting classes for which she must prepare spells. These lost spells are no longer considered known by the target until the corresponding negative levels are removed.

In a F2F game people would talk more and just say "I'm going to cast haste in a combat situation, so delay". As the GM said on discord, he's fine with Tarragon and the Professor having the extra attack.
With the different timezones of the players it's almost impossible to coordinate tactics within a reasonable time without some leniency from the GM. :-)

Etrigan's AC is high enough that the 22s prone would not have hit him, but I failed to note his current AC in my statblock properly, so that's my fault and I'll just take the damage- I'm just pointing it out so that you don't wonder why my AC is changing midfight, since I'm adjusting it now.
Etrigan will save: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18 Booooo.
The demonic creature.... calms down. It seems to go against its very nature-- it snarls to itself, mutters snatches of rhyme...
"What... trickery... this? What sorcery ill?
"That bids Etrigan simply... lie here... and chill?
"I abhor violence? Nay-- by Hell's lights, I love it!
"Yet currently I'm bound... to rise above it....?"
Rather than fight, the demonic form lies there, a dopey grin on its face.
Iason frowns. "This may be one of the more disturbing things I've seen you from you, Etrigan. Get up. That is an order."
The creature siiiiighs... hunches its cloak around itself... and gets to its feet.
(Etrigan will full defense and then stand, provoking. AC vs the AOO is 32.)
Iason mutters a spell, hurries forward on hasted feet, and reaches out to touch his servitor. The eidolon is now even more protected.
Casting shield, moving and discharging it onto Etrigan. Etrigan's AC for any attacks he takes this round will be 36, because of the total defense, otherwise now 32 with the shield spell, and changing statline to reflect.
"I appreciate you trying not to get my servant in your blast, Master Wadi, but feel free to rain fire as much as you like around him. He won't suffer at all from it. As for your own woes, I'll assist as soon as I can." (Etrigan's immune to fire, so have fun Wadi ;) )
Tarragon The Golden |
Dang. Serenity is rough in that you don't get a save each round and it's not broken by attacks. At least you can total defend. Hmm, it says you can fight defensively if attacked. Does that mean you can still attack without taking the 3d6 IF you are attacked first AND attack defensively?

Lamare's force weapon misses!
~
Etrigan overcomes the spell's effect and feels a little numb but seeing Iason hurt drives him to shred the plant creature into pieces!!
After this onslaught you clearly feel a psionic shriek that signals the end of the plant's existence!
~
Tarragon sees that the plant is done and concentrates on the blue colored psychemental which he can disrupt after two strikes!!
Tarragon then steps forward and hits the last remaining incorporeal creature.

Etrigan was prone right?
Etrigan had stood back up the previous round, so I think we're good :D
The demonic form capers and laughs, seeming to care little for the pain that had briefly wracked it.
"I spit on your peace and your calm and your so-called serenity
"My nature is ruin, and harm, and bloody obscenity."
Iason grimaces as he inspects the wounds the plant-thing left on him. "Yes, yes, we know."

I've just realized that Etrigan's attacks aren't freaking magical. That's... embarrassing. Meh, time to buy a different amulet for him after this scenario. But he can't do any damage to the incorporporeal, so my turn is pretty useless here.
"Sit down," Iason says with a shake of his head at his injured servitor, even if he has some wounds of his own. Etrigan chuckles, and promptly plops down on the ground like a child at recess.
With magical speed bolstering him, Iason gets to where he has a clean line of sight on the last of the incorporeals and throws a very tiny spell at it.
Ranged Touch attack, haste: 1d20 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 7 + 1 = 23

Suddenly, the plant twitches once more!
You all hear a strange and weak voice in you heads!
”Arghhh… I thought we can aid each other, Pathfinders. Much the way you aided the Muckmouth tribe…. the Sunsu Godae could have made excellent allies for your missions, Onhae could have been a good base of operations. Arghh!!! Unfortunately, you are dumb! And the Onhae also still cling to their outdated ways and religion. If you had stopped and convinced them to worship Aram Zey as the Ruby Phoenix they would have been loyal to you. Those who do follow him already call themselves 'Pathfinders.' But you did not want to cooperate! So you will be hunted!! I will … live … arghhh!“ and with that last statement the plant dies.
GM Nowruz |
Killing the etheroot releases an explosion of psychic and emotional energies.
Now that the creature is dying you realize something ... it seems as if the Etheroot was planted as a seedling inside the tapestry, but its ethereal roots lead out to the Transitive Planes surrounding the
demiplane.
You all see holes beginning to open in the tapestry where the etheroot’s tendrils used to be and planar energies surge into the demiplane from outside, fueling the something that you identified earlier ...
... the silver squall that has been building in Onhae.
You immediately recognizes this phenomenon from earlier in the village!!
