I'd wager at our level we shouldn't face anything larger than 10x10ft. Tricking it shouldn't be hard. Per its description, it's more ferocious than smart, it would be just a question of standing in front of the snare (as long as it doesn't breathe acid first).

Don't know about 2e items, I'm still new at it.

It looks like in order to set a snare you need a snare kit and the Snare Crafting feat unless GM makes an exception. Personally to me even with an exception it seems like a lot of bother to deal 2d8 piercing damage that allows a basic saving throw

My vote is to sell the snare. 2d8 damage is not worth is for a feat and all the work involved.

I have 2 questions: 1 - In the case where a combat restarts like this, do I have to reenter the stance? (Stances general rules state that it lasts until the end of this encounter) 2 - Does this pass to the next round? I mean, the requirement says that "You used your most recent action this turn to Cast a Spell or make a Spellstrike." If my last action in a round is to cast a spell or make a spellstrike, does this mean that I qualify for the stance in the first action of the next round?

1) Stances end when the encounter ends, so personally I would say since new initiatives were rolled for battling the spider thing, the previous stance had ended and you'd have to re-enter it, but the ruling is of course up to the GM.

2) The requirement says "You used your most recent action this turn to Cast a Spell or make a Spellstrike." It wouldn't specify "this turn" if it was intended to let you enter it with a spell cast the previous round so unfortunately, the spell really does have to be cast in the same round you act to enter the stance.

Damn, this Arcane Cascade seems worthless. IT's so much of a hassle to use it and when you do, it's minimal benefits, even considering the extra benefit from the hybrid study.

It looks like Shield is a 1-action cantrip. Instead of Raising a Shield each turn, for the first turn you could do Shield + Arcane Cascade and then have 1 action left over to use to move or Strike or whatever. It looks like you're raising your shield every turn anyway; may as well cast it the first turn to qualify for Arcane Cascade.

There's no final ruling about it, but the discussions go back to the beginning of PF 2e, when the Bard with Bardic Lore got introduced.

I agree. Unless as a default action, you will do an RK check on your turn every time you fight a new enemy, I could roll the check for you and give you the info. However, you'd be spending an action each round on that. Up to you.

You could always spoiler the information so if he decided he didn't want to use the action he wouldn't have to commit ahead of time

Well, we can agree that my first action of every combat will always be Exploit Vulnerability against the most prevelant enemy. And if I fail the standard DC, I will do it again. If there's another (boss-like) enemy, I will use another RK action on that.

Jon either has his arcane senses open for detecting magic Detect Magic (he has detect magic as an innate cantrip from his background) or Scout (everyone gets +1 circumstance bonus to initiative) if someone else wants to detect magic.

Unfortunately my innate Detect Magic is not automatically heightened and its heightening is tied to my skill in Arcana. I'm probably going to focus on increasing Athletics, Intimidation, and Thievery so I'm guessing I'll be stuck with the level 1 version most (if not all) of the campaign.

I'll post my turn when I get home tonight around 1030 PST but I wanted to confirm the monster already had a 10' reach being a Large creature, so with the glaive its reach is 15' now.

Not sure about 2e but in 1e some Large creatures didn't actually have greater reach than Medium ones.

Correct, the minotaur has 15' reach with the glaive. However, in 2E, very few creatures have reactive strike, so unlike 1E, there are no AoOs for moving in close.

They just dropped the remastered gunslinger into Pathbuilder and it looks like they simplified Munitions Crafter. (No other changes I can figure)

Legacy: reagents = level/day, basic 0th level ammo is made in batches of 10; bombs and other ammo is made in batches of 2

Remaster: reagents = 4 + ½ level/day, all types of ammo are made in batches of 4, bombs 1 at a time

This will make it much easier to try out elemental ammo. In fact, if you don't spend the 1 action to Activate alchemical ammunition, it acts the same as basic ammo, so there's never a reason to craft basic as far as I can see.

@GM: Can I switch to the remastered version at my next daily preparations?
