Appearance:
Hagrym looks much like the stereotypical dwarf. Short, stocky, large bulbous nose, long brown beard. However, upon closer examination, he has a decent amount of muscle under his doughy outer layer. He also is never without his red hat and red apron. It's no surprise that red is his favorite color, and he considers it lucky.
He is a bit wordy and prone to lectures (low Charisma), missing some social cues about the best way to conduct a conversation.
Background:
Hagrym was the eldest of the two sons in his family. He was more studious and more stoic than his four year younger brother, Maclin. He never understood why Mac called himself by a nickname anyway, rather than his full given name. It might be the older brother in him, but Hagryn always refers to him as Maclin.
Like his younger brother, he still has scars from the attempt on his family’s life by his dastardly uncle. Hagrym’s scars are more on the inside than the outside. He knew it wasn’t just luck that he heard the commotion and was able to help fight off the undead trying to kill all of them.
He threw himself head first into his studies , finding that Torag’s outlook fit with his world view. His focus on protecting his clan led him to follow hisyounger brother to Otari. The two have been relatively successful in transporting ore from the mine to the town.
As the two grew more accustomed to the town, Hagrym has found himself spending more and more time at the DawnFlower Library, having discussions about the goods and bads of their particular dieties with the chatty Vandy Banderdash. She makes the DawnFlower sound more palatable then the dwarf originally thought, but he just can’t figure out why anyone would worship the sun and bright light, as opposed to a cool dark cavern or a roaring hearth.
He’s also found himself spending quite a bit of time recently at the Rowdy Rockfish, trying to comfort Brelda Venkervale after the disappearance of her son. Hopefully, she will one day feel comfort from Hagrym’s discussions about Torag’s faith.
Hagrym now considers the town as part of his clan, and intends on protecting it in any way necessary in the future.
