Yes. If he's seen any indication of the Divine, that's what he sees/associates with in Emma. He didn't call her a priestess, just sees her as one.

He's alone, exiled, tribe of one... and in a sense "barred from heaven."

Amidst the violent Peerless Wastelands, his people sought and were commited to a Path of Peace (monks, clerics, druids, etc...) NG and pacifists.

A warrior caste protects the people, by fighting in self defense. Literally, no offense. They cannot take the fight to the enemy. And, even in that service they are barred from heaven although they have the pride of protecting the people, their home... it's a sacrifice they "gladly" take on.

But, he saw that they would lose a coming battle and decided to enact a pre-emptive strike (rogue) and killed the enemy's commander under cover of night.

The enemy forces retreated (think Ghengis Khan, how he died)... But, for breaking tradition, rules, etc... Kaliban was "Forgotten" and dead to his people... banished to walk forever alone in exile.

So. yes... he is drawn to the bard/cleric... perhaps as an ideal? Comfort, enlightenment?

If the concensus is to visit the tower, I can time-skip to you arriving. I originally stated it was about half an hour out, so far you've been talking, let's say... five minutes. Is this everyone's plan then (or at least, the majority)?

WOW. You guys seriously posted over and over again today. I went to work, and then spent the evening working three different Scouting things, including telling a young man that the unit is denying support to his application to make the eagle rank. Just now getting to my computer.

One of the downsides of an Animal Companion, is that it has it's own separate rolls for things like stealth. If you and the companion had the teamwork fest that centered around stealth, it'd be a different matter.

Edit: Didn't have the money here, either, until I downgraded a weapon from Masterwork so I could contribute to the Wand of CLW. Everything on the gear list form the Ioun Torch down was bought because of that reduction.

Not sure how to play this, but I feel a bit left out being the only PC to stay behind, nor is Emma Jane really enough of a combat threat to handle three opponents if they decide to pull something.
