"Well we've been looking for a way down and here one is, so down we go. Koridur would you like to lead the group for awhile? I've a feeling that soon I will not want to be in front."
If Koridur accepts then Gloisil will let him take his place up front and will take a place in the middle of the group. Gloisil makes a Knowledge (Nature) check: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4 to see if he recalls if a troll can regenerate from such a state and how long it would take. Would want them reforming and attacking us from behind. But obviously, I know nothing. The die roller has not been my friend lately.
"Does anyone know how long, if possible, it would take for a troll to regenerate from such a state?"

I dont recommend it; we aint ready for that sht. On that note; anyone got magic weapons, we might need magic to put da hurt on these guys.

ok; some of this is up to other players; I dont really care if your higher level than everyone else if no one else has a problem with it, but just keep in mind you playing a + race added to class; so is higher level; what I dont understand looking at your character sheet is how many spells and of what level you can cast a day; your character sheet says your level three; does that mean a third level caster + your racial modifier or level three caster not counting your level modifiers. I know the books have all kinds of version of Drow with this and that and the other modifiers; so I am just calling drow like yours a +2 class; that gives you the dwarflike ground abilities and the racial spells; vision, sleep and charm resistance and so on.
so class 3 plus race 2 is 5 levels; so you will get exps at 5 level; considering an average goblin is half a level; not much exps there for a level 5 character; now; you can choose to buy off those racial character levels with experience, this goes for everyone, per the unearth arcana; it is something like basically every three levels you give up one level of exps; but I am flexible. So; if you wanted; you could buy off your plus two level race by keeping track of your exps; then when you would level; you dont level; but apply it to your racial characteristic; that way you wont be stuck at level 18 with a +2 race; where at higher levels the racial level doesnt mean that much ;buy off your levels; then you will level normally.
As GM; my focus is this; if I dont know what your casting and such abilities are; it is hard for me to make a scenario; I like to make some easy; some normal; and some hard, but hard for a level 2 character; which I think most people are; is not hard maybe for a level five and I have trouble with challenge rating for exps.
so, like I said; I dont have any issue with whatever level you are playing at; this is pretty much a 2-5 level dungeon in my mind; but I will give out exps in the next couple days as your going from one level of the dungeion to the next; so will give exps for the part of the level finished and I need to know your level that we agree on so I can give you the right number.
ok; on that note; I think things are going well and hope everyone is having a good time. You guys made piecemeal of my goblin commandoes on level one and more or less drew a tie with my forest goblins; that was level two entrance so level two will be a bit tougher :)

"How bout you Honeybiscut?" Kurg smiles through his tusks at Sunset, "Got some magic sh#t to kill stuff or just pretty lights for night play. If the orc was going to be persistently pushing at Sunset's buttons, things would be getting very wearisome or very ugly in a short span of time. Despite the anger that seemed to be brewing, she sighed and frowned at the both of them, taking a half-step to place herself if not between, somewhat between the two of them.
"If the two of you are going to have this spat before we are done in these dark halls, the wounds you incur will get bandages, and nothing more", she stated with some annoyance. Accompanying them, they might be, but she certainly was not growing fond of them at all.
Having a good time playing the character, no worries over here.

Ok; using this marching order; and looked it up; as Mox and Gloisel are small and smaller; they can share the same square single file down the stairs.
You guys ready to proceed down the stairs.
lot of rubble and gross stuff on the stairs; unless you move very slow and carefully; will need a balance roll from everyone medium sized or larger; smalls roll also; but +2 to roll.
let me know how you proceed.

Koridur,

Ok; except for Koridur; 1000 for the parts of level one you completed as task bonus; Koridur; add 150 for your part.
the part decends at a slow pace, carefully picking their route, at the bottom of the stair is a built up region; a smashed armored gatehouse you must pass though as part of a normal guard checkpoint that probably normally housed a couple of soldiers at one time to monitor and operate the gates; but a fully armed gatehouse could probably hold 15 or so soldiers; parts of the stone here looks disolved, the gate smashed but strangely not by any axe or battering ram or claw marks; and the blood marks here are strangly faint; not the dark spots as you have seen earlier; this have been washed out or cleaned up or somethign; though there are no bodies here and the place looks smashed and looted and there is much goblinoid scrawl on the walls.
Mox looks at the walls; fails his poker face; chuckles.
"some havs strange humorish bone" he mutters.
The party is not yet through the gatehouse to the second level landing.

Sorry, playing catch-up, was busy all weekend.
Gloisil doesn't mind about going slowly as they descend the stairs. When he hears about the weakness between the planes and the dangers there, he begins to wonder again why he was chosen and not some great hero to perform this task.
As the party approaches the gatehouse and gates, Gloisil wonders what could have done such great damage to the gates and gatehouse.
"What happened here? What could have done this?"
Gloisil searches his mind for any knowledge of what could have done this. If it was something magical or of nature, he may be able to discern what it was.

Keep in mind all this damage is months to years old; the Emperors forces have mostly driven out the Chaos Horde; though some pockets remain and some hide and so raids and some are in low priority and tough to crack pockets like this one.

Climb1d20 ⇒ 1(+2 for Sunset's aid)
Desidera accepted Sunset's help with much appreciation, the traveler's outfit she was wearing (well, the long skirt anyway), helping somewhat with avoiding the things likely to cut and bruise, though most of those were likely come from her general inability to climb.
Once on the new ledge, she looked around at the old markings, wondering what had happened here: Where had the survivors fled, what had become of them.. Gyldyr's words did not inspire much hope, but they were rather set on their path for now. Her eyes were no good in this darkness, so she stayed close to Sunset.

no threats or things of obvious interest unless your a military or investigative type and want to try to figure out how the place was sieged and stormed; but that would take a while.

Sunset |

Sunset indeed perks up at Gyldyr's pointer to water. She skips off, dragging Desidera along, her eagerness seeing to banish any fears and dispel any fatigue.
"C'm-ON! Some water t' be splashin' about in!" She whispers, almost sounding excited.

The mention of water does get Desidera's attention, and Sunset's eagerness only overshadows hers by a small margin. Immediately, her thoughts are filled with thoughts of refilling her waterskin, but wistfully turn towards there being enough to bathe in.
That was the hope anyways. After a short distance, she was basically relying on Sunset to guide her, not being able to see so very well in the dim light.

Gloisil also thinks of how nice it would be to get a drink of some fresh water and fill his waterskin. He enters the room a bit more cautiously and looks about as he heads in the direction of the water source.
As he enters into the large room he says, "Sunset, you may want to wait until we check the water before taking a drink of it, one of the sides involved in the battle here may have done something to taint it."
As Gloisil moves carefully through the large room, he and Hoot continue to look around. At his urging with such a large area to fly in, Hoot spreads his wings and flies around the room as Gloisil walk towards the other side.

Desidera Tahn |
Initiative:1d20 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 = 15
Desidera can see a bit, thanks to the light given by Sunset's minor magics, and can only frown at whatever it is that is rising from the water, before she starts trying to tug sunset back away from the edge. What ever it was (not that she wasn't listening to sunset's naming), was something she would rather not have try to eat her or do whatever it was that it would be intending to do.
