Happy Birthday to you
Happy Birthday to you
Happy Birthday dear Darvyl/Pat
Happy Birthday tooooo yooouuuuuu"
Male Human Ranger 3
The satyr takes a swig from his bottle.
Male Halfling Bard 4
"Before tha passes out from booze, best be telling us what tha was planning."
Healaugh gets back to business with rare halfling persistence.
"Haec!"
The goat fey hiccups.
"Sure, I was plannin' on holdin' ye up for a wee while, but yer fast buggers." he slurs. "Ohhh, I'm fer hopin' ye don't meet Mistress Inge, she'll be powerful angry if yer here to cause mischief. Master Sven, well, he's not fer messin' with."
Male Halfling Bard 4
"Don't know about mischief. Setting wrongs to rights, mebbe. Best you be telling us more about this Mistress Inge and Master Sven."
The satyr stands up blearily looks at Healaugh and belches, "Whaddya take me fer? Ye kill me dogs and then I go betrayin' sweet Inge..." he starts blubbering again, big blobby tears.
Male Human Ranger 3
"Mite take ye forr sourrce o' haggis.."
The fey doesn't seem to hear Nechtan.
Healaugh

Fabes
Healaugh beadily eyes the satyr.
Please all make an initiative roll. Nechtan, please also make an Insight roll as you are also interacting with the satyr.
Male Halfling Bard 4
Init (1d20 2=4)
Hmmm. Last time this halfling talks nicely to a sozzled satyr.
Male Human Atrificer/3
Male Human Ranger 3
Insight;Initiative (1d20+3=16, 1d20+4=8)
Nechtan might know what the satyr's doing, but he's in no rush to stop it, apparently.
Male Human Fighter 3
Male Dragonborn Paladin, Level 4
Initiative: 1d20+1 = 12+1 = 13
Sorry Nechtan and Healaugh, the satyr had Bluff 22.
Male Halfling Bard 4
Gloves off. No more Mr Nice Halfling. Or that will be the case as soon as we find out what's happening.

The satyr gets to take an action in the surprise round, which in this case is to run 8 squares towards the beach proper. You don't really need a map for this, it's clear terrain (at the moment). He is now 8 squares away from all of you. Darvyl is up.
The satyr makes a break for it before the friends can stop him!
Male Human Fighter 3
Darvyl lets out a whoop and charges down the beach at the satyr, shortsword to the fore.
Move and Charge, Charge (1d20+12=29, 1d6+7=11)
Eeek, that hit him.
Darvyl chases after the fleeying fey and slashes him. It doesn't fell the satyr, who seems to have recovered somewhat from the previous battle.
Male Dragonborn Paladin, Level 4
I know I'm not up yet, but I'll do what Darvyl's done!
Move, then charge Charge (1d20+9; 1d8+5) (1d20+9=12, 1d8+5=10)
Bugger!
Male Human Ranger 3
Have we short rested during the interrogation?
Technically no, in future I shall be more specific.
Male Human Atrificer/3
What? I roll a pathetic 13 for initiative and I'm second in the order? Blimey.
Ynyr moves 6 squares towards the Satyr, preferably next to Darvyl if poss, and throws his dagger with nonchalant ease
Magic Weapon vs. AC (1d20+9=28, 1d4+4=5)
"You still haven't told me what is going on, have you?"
If that hits, (which I guess it does...) and I'm next to Darvyl (which I may not be...) Darvyl get +1 to all his attacks until the end of my next turn
IC is being nice to me now. Perhaps it's learnt its lesson
Male Dragonborn Paladin, Level 4
By the way, Fabes - Congratulations on your Engagement!
Ynyr hits, Ddraig misses painfully.
The satyr seems even more flustered now that the comrades are after him with a vengeance.
He continues to run away, but a swift strike from Darvyl floors him.
Double run. OA from Darvyl - hit for 11 damage. Satyr is on -3. Pat do you want him dead or unconscious? Combat over.

The satyr falls to the ground, still alive but knocked out.
Male Halfling Bard 4
"Reet. This time we're tying daft bugger up."
Healaugh suits the action to the words. He also takes the opportunity to swipe the satyr's pipes.
Healaugh ties the fey up; it would seem his pipes are quite ordinary. It must be his innate magical nature that enables him to create such beautiful, bewitching music.
Male Halfling Bard 4
Healaugh stows the pipes in his backpack anyway. It would take a lot to make him give up his hurdy-gurdy, but waste not want not.
He catches his breath i.e. takes a short rest, and waits for the satyr to wake up, humming a snatch of sea shanty.
Healing surges used during the short rest will heal at an additional +4 hp each. Healaugh himself will use 2 to bring himself up to full hp.
"Hope tha's feeling more like talking now. Seeing as we mean business. M'patient mesen, but others here might not be. Can't hold them off forever."
Intimidate satyr (1d20 10=24)
Everyone may take a Short Rest.
The satyr comes round groggily, and murmurs, "Ship, Inge, so beautiful... shlaves, *hic* village... Corriban. Turned back..."
Male Human Ranger 3
"Rright. Best muve, and catch yon Ingerr nasty."
Male Halfling Bard 4
I have no clue if a nature check is any use here, to see if Corriban rings a bell, but here goes anyway.
Nature check (1d20 9=26)
Healaugh glares down at the satyr as he searches his memory. "Best be telling truth. Won't be answerable if our Nechtan turns nasty."
Healaugh recognises the name, as it harks back to the Korrin Archipelago, the homeland of some of the group. Corriban Island was reputedly haunted and the inhabitants were never heard of again. It was reputedly quite rich in natural wealth, such as lumber and minerals.
Male Human Atrificer/3
"Now, didn't I hear him mention someone else he named? Some lady or something was it. Since he is so talkative, shall we ask him to tell us more about this person so that we know more about her, you know?"
Male Halfling Bard 4
"Mistress Inge and Master Sven, eh? Don't sound to me like folk a fey boozer would be hanging around. What drove them off from haunted island? Can't believe it were fear, so must be summat else."
"This is all jolly interesting but shouldn't we see where that other pesky hound went? Surely he's bound to have warned someone or other?" Greylan asks, hefting his bag of potions.
Male Halfling Bard 4
"Aye. Good point our Greylan. Reckon we'll not be getting much more from this un. Nechtan, Darvyl, canst track hound?"
He brushes himself down and looks at the captive satyr.
"Shameful waste o' talent to my mind."
Greylan looks out across the dunes towards the sea, "No real need to track it, old fellow. It ran that way." he says pointing to the shoreline and the direction of the camp you spotted from the cliffs.
Male Halfling Bard 4
"Bit of a problem being short sometimes." Healaugh shrugs and sets off doggedly towards the camp.
Male Dragonborn Paladin, Level 4
Time to stop this yapping!
I know your bark is worse than your bite.
Male Dragonborn Paladin, Level 4
Don't worry about us - we're just whining!
We'll get there in the end, though - there's no fleas on us!
Male Human Ranger 3
"Must move, aforre things get worrse!"
Male Human Atrificer/3
Oblivious to any puns that may be perpetrated in the unreal world of PbP, Ynyr follows the party, but not too far away as the last fight was over pretty well before he got there.
Short Rest? Or is everyone following Healaugh? I don't count interrogating someone as restful.
