Ok Good Thomas will just kill the last one so we can get to the new players. Everyone will go to room 1 to send off Good Thomas and Koan.

WabbitHuntr |

"farewell Good Thomas your mighty blade will be missed. . "
"Koan without you taking point with me who knows how many more hidden pits I will fall into? But I understand that you need to escort your sister back home. . I hope you are able to catch up with her quickly. "
After little while after saying our farewells to GT and Koan while deciding which door to reenter we spot a heavily armored warrior and Elf bearing a bow approaching us on the stairs leading into the main courtyard.
"HALT... are you friend or foe? And foe you will be if you worship the pig demon. "

Nuala Sataleeti |

A thin elf wielding a bow, dressed in dark leathers speaks calmly.. "Since you did not attack us on sight I assume you are not heathen demon worshipers, so I would call us friend not foe.. My name is Nuala. This is my human companion Darrien. The rest of our group was murdered in this awful place. Im beginning to wonder why I came here."

Nuala Sataleeti |

"Indeed.. Well if yall dont mind can we stick with yall? Safety by numbers right?"

WabbitHuntr |

"Lars... No matter how many umbrellas they put on that well water, I'm not drinking it. "

"A nice glass of wine would sound good at the moment. But perhaps we still have more work to do before we make the long walk back to town. Now, before we go delving deeper into these forsaken ruins, perhaps getting to know a bit more of our new friends would be beneficial. I am Almon, a seeker of lore. Nuala, Darrien what more can you tell us of yourselves?"

brvheart |

Almon, you will recover the point with a night of sleep. Town is not needed.

Darrien Rossberg |

bah, if they had but listened. They thought they were invincible, that they didn't need my shield... Alas, I laid them to rest after retrieving them, now I will live for them as well. But enough of thiz morbid banter! Come friends let us sing a song in memory of our fallen comrades, in a place like this, the light of joy is always needed after all he sings a short verse, a Tad off key, then pats Lars on the back.
I prefer milk myself, goat milk! Great for building muscle, and character! this is my shield, forged it myself with divine guidance. from a battered and broken door. It reflects me, once broken, but now forged anew, and made up of much sterner stuff! he shows the holy symbol etched onto the front of the shield.
unbreakable is its name! No blow has ever defeated this shield, and I'll see to it that none ever do! As to why I am here? Im here to protect the light of joy in this world, and to shine light like a star in the blackest voids. To this place the light will come, and I will see that those who drive out the light are protected, so that no matter how the icy wind blows, they will never be snuffed out.

Sorek |

It seems fortuitous that you have arrived here at this time. Two of our members just left to take care of family and other reasons. Two more stout warriors would be a welcome addition. Whether or not you want to sample Pekkos brew.... well, you can discuss that with Lars.

Sorek |

now that everyone's been introduced, how about we resume the exploration by returning to room 5 where we smashed all the centipedes and go south from there. sound good?

Sorek |

marching order:
lead: Nuala(trapfinding),Sorek(perception)
middle:Almon(glass cannon, Knowledge skills for identifying threats),Darrien (in middle so he can charge to the front or rear to use his Bastion of Good ability)
rear: Lars(perception +11) and Aggrammar(inspire courage)
everyone OK with this? any suggestions to change this?

Nuala Sataleeti |

That's fine.. The comp in on atm cant open Roll20 so yall will have to move her for now.
Nuala will check the door. Take 20 for a 29 perc, if trapped take 20 for a 33 disable. If magical.

perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 15

brvheart |

Nuala, I normally do not allow taking 10 or 20 except in rare circumstances and you can't take 20 on a DD anyway as there is a danger of a negative result (failing by 5 setting the trap off.) On skill checks I add +10 to a nat 20 and -10 to a nat 1 to allow for really good and bad things to happen. Besides, you really don't want to be spending 2 minutes in this room looking for a trap at the door or you will be crawling with centipedes! Or anywhere in RA for that matter as the monsters are constantly moving around. The longer you stay in one place, the greater of a chance to run into a wandering monster!
Given that, neither of you find any traps on the southern door in room 5 and it is not locked. Presuming you open it:
This room is decorated with tapestries, although anyone looking at them immediately realizes that the rough cloth and crude sewing makes them worthless. The tapestries depict the outside of the dungeon—the demon-mouth which conceals the stairway down into this level. Around the demon-mouth, a battle appears to be raging between a small army of human archers and a larger force made up of ogres, who are led by three black-robed figures wearing helmets decorated with curling ram’s horns. These leaders are apparently human, and each one carries a mace topped with a metal skull.

brvheart |

As you enter the room Nuala spots a trap in an alcove in the NE corner of the room.

You go through the secret door proceeding west then south down a hallway to a door. There are ten crudely-built wooden beds in the room, each with a wooden footlocker underneath. All of the footlockers are empty, with the exception of a candle stub, a mouse skeleton, a needle and thread, and a bent copper piece. The blankets on the beds are intact and can be used, although they are only worth a couple of copper pieces each.

Ok yea I had to read up on it.. Only take 10/20 on locks and doors etc.. Gotcha. The map is back to saying not authorized again btw.
Nuala will mention the trapped alcove but it appears the grouped move on from it.
She will aid Almon in Know history in addition to..
Know Religion: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
She will also aid with Spellcraft and Know Arcana..
Aid His: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12
Aid Arcana: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
Spellcraft is auto aid.
Some fancy rolls there.. At least they weren't saves i suppose.

@Almon, the tapestries depict the battle between the Army of Light and the Army of Orcus.
This large room contains three rows of pillars running north to south, leading to two deep bronze fire pits that stand against the south wall. Each fire pit contains a wide bronze bowl ten feet across, and these are both blazing with eerie green flames that rise ten feet into the air, throwing emerald sparks toward the chamber’s arching thirty-foot high ceiling. Both bowls are decorated with leering gargoyle heads around the rims, and have two massive handles at the sides. The pillars in the room are also carved with a multitude of small gargoyles. Although the fire-bowls are magical, they are immensely heavy, weighing many tons apiece.
In the rear of the room is a giant snake, it is growing green in color. You detect neither evil or magic. (You are beyond 60' of the fire.) Roll initiative please.
