wow superfast on getting to those rolls up. way to go Agg and Lars

Just to recap we went back out to the main courtyard and chose to try the SE door. It squeaked like hell when we opened it. When Koan and Sorek stepped through the door we immediately saw a bunch of giant rats. Rather than fighting them with just the 2 of us in a narrow hallway, we have backed out into the courtyard so we all can attack them when they come out.

"Thanks. Shame this magic works only on weak creatures, but it at least saves us the trouble," says Almon.

After Sorek is lifted out of the pit, Almon examines it for a moment.
"Hmm... I don't think I have anything that will help us cross over this safely. We can try to step around it, go back and find something sturdy to walk across it, or leave it for now and hope that it serves as a buffer from anything that might migrate this way."

No Evil detected. Buy they sound like riff-raff. And they are just hanging around the Mouth of Doom. In other words they are probably up to no good. But we can't be sure as they are not evil. Being riff-raff we won't be able to trust anything they say.

So we can't morally come in guns a blazin as we don't know that they deserve such treatment. And if we go in and confront them trying to figure out what they are doing here, we alert them to our presence and still cant trust anything they say.


Seems like a morally ambiguous encounter that Sorek is happy to avoid.


My vote is to back away quietly from the door and explore other parts of the dungeon
