Throwing my hat in the ring, but I haven't played Ninlil in PbP before and I need to level her up. Should be able to work on her sheet tomorrow night, if that's okay? (If not, I can duck out and let someone else play.)

That'll be fine - go ahead and check in at the Discussion thread (link in PM) to secure your place.

And pending any unexpected departures, recruitment for the Forged in Flame series is closed. Feel free to put your name down on the spreadsheet in the waitlist for first consideration if a spot opens up.

Scarab Sages

Recruitment is closed for the standard run of #0-17 Perils of the Pirate Pact being played at sub-tier 3-4.

Would Garduk the Unteachable, TriShadow, Grandlounge, What they got in exchange was... YANNDU!! GM PDK and Noral join Lady Vulpina in Discussion >>HERE<<

I would like to get Gameplay rolling ASAP, so that allowing for a goodly amount of roleplay + the ✩ Holiday Season ⛄, we are finished well before ⚁ RETROCON ⚅ starts on January 14.

@Escarid, I have you down as an alternate. If you are interested in playing in the next game I run, I will guarantee you a spot.

Hello everybody! Hopefully-decent GM here recruiting for my first PbP scenario: 6-12 - Scions of the Sky Key, Part 1: On Sharrowsmith's Trail (A levels 1-5 scenario). I'm hoping to get started November 7th. This scenario will not be run as a part of any convention. I plan to run the whole Scions of Sky Key series, as well the other metaplot scenarios for season 6, but I'm starting with baby steps! If I do continue, preference will be given to those who play the earlier sessions.

As a first time PbP GM, I'm looking for players willing to cut me some slack if something goes wrong and willing to give advice on how to improve my GMing here on the forums.

Priority will be given to those whom I've gamed with before. Shoot me a PM if you think that's the case.

Recruitment form available here! First come first serve this time. With backups, of course.

Interested. I have several characters available in levels 1-3 if I'm chosen.

Hi. New character looking to get started on my PFS journey. I would be fine with an evergreen or 2, or whatever.

Hawthwile, KingTreyIII, PaleDim, Otha, Caro Cogitatus, and Banesama, you're in! Be sure to dot in to both the discussion and the gameplay here (link)! Warah and Marjim Marc Arafiles, you're official backup for if a player drops.

Welcome to the table!

Hiya Flaxseeders! A group I'm playing through Rise of the Runelords with is losing its GM to real life circumstances. I'm reaching out here because I know that the Flaxseed community is incredible when it comes to stepping up to help out ailing games.

We're currently in Book 1, just after clearing out the Glassworks and getting ready to head to Thistletop. So, if anyone is interested in at least helping our group finish out Book 1, head on over to the campaign at the link below.

HELP!

There's a 10-11 CORE table of Legacy of the Stonelords for RetroCon. Any high level CORE aficionados want to join us? ;)

Hello, looking for a level 1-5 PFS scenario, low subtier. First time playing pbp.

Silver Crusade

The Game doesn’t start until January 14, but have you considered signing up to one of the 1-2 tables for Retrocon, Xavier?

>>Link Here<<

At the time of writing, three GMs have open tables @ 1-2 Classic on the Paizo boards, and they’re all First Class!

Liberty's Edge

I might sign up with a different character. Thanks for the link, though, I didn’t have that.

I signed up for Shadow Lodge, thanks again for the link, Antonella

Looking for requests for a scenario to run, anybody need anything specific?

Dark Archive

Side note from the above post, anyone looking for a full run of Emerald Spire, please post here!

Will take the first 5 that post and are ready to play. If more than 5 post before I wrap up recruitment, selection will be lottery decided. There is one reserved seat, so expect to see 6 players post.

Liberty's Edge

Thanks, GM Zer0darkfire!

I haven't played many scenarios, I'd be open to anything in a low tier that a first level character can play in. I'm playing in the Shadow Lodge special, so Season 2 would be great. I've already played in 2-01 and 2-02.

I'm interested in jumping in on a lvl 1-5 scenario as well.

Xavier and Sieglinde, you both have reserved spots at this game. Please post there when you get a chance.

Will take the first other 4 that post and are ready to play. If more than 4 post before I wrap up recruitment, selection will be lottery decided.

Can you run:

1. S06-06: Hall of the Flesh Eaters
2. S06-14: Scions of the Sky Key, Part 2: Kaava Quarry (1-5)
or
S06-99: True Dragons of Absalom (3-5)

Thank you!

In my next cycle of games, I'll keep these in mind for you. Isn't 6-99 a multi-table special? Not sure if I'm able to run that.

6-99 is not a multi-table as far as I know. It is a limited release for 5 stars only though.

Silver Crusade

You're correct, Ietsuna. Only 5 stars GMs can run this scenario. It is not a multi-table special, only a fun module in which you play kobolds.

Silver Crusade

Hi, everyone, I've just added in a few tables for Retrocon!

If you are interested, I would suggest signing up soon.

I originally said I was done with Pathfinder Society, playing and dming. Guess what? I still have a whole bunch of AP books just sitting here collecting dust when I could be putting them to use. Plus why stop at 2 stars when I can go for three. Not to mention, I barely touched up on one of the Best APs of all time. Rise of the Runelords and Mummy's Mask are also up there, but Mummy's Mask has already been DMed from me.
I'm going to DM Reign of Winter, books 1 and 2 at least, and we will see how it goes from there. Who's in? If you all don't have PFS characters ready, especially since book 1 requires levels 2-4, I can always DM this in campaign mode.

Dark Archive

What sort of pace do you expect for this?

I'd be up for that. I'd prefer campaign mode because why not right, plus I'd really like to use stuff from the new martial arts handbook. Likely characters from me would be tetori/lifting hand monk, white haired witch, druid, or unfettered arcanist depending on what role I needed to fill.

Pathfinder Lost Omens, Maps Subscriber

I'd be down for some campaign mode reign of winter. I would rather build from scratch so I do not tie up any of PFS characters for extended periods of time.

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE the opportunity to play with 3rd-party/homebrew material (subject to DM review, of course)!

I wouldn't get too hopeful about homebrew. That tends to be a lot of extra work and serious consideration for a GM on top of the already heavy workload of running a campaign. Some of the 3pp stuff is pretty cool though, I personally would allow legendary vigilantes (+villains) in my games.

I’d like to join this. Experienced PFS player and GM but I’ve never had a chance to play an AP from the beginning. I’m a bit confused about how campaign mode works but my preference would be to do the full content, not just the PFS sanctioned portions, just because why not get the full story? I’ve got a level 2 Bloodrager ready to go (melee frontliner, will eventually be going Dragon Disciple). Can also offer a Wizard 2 (will eventually be going Arcane Trickster), or a Psychic 3. Alternatively, happy to build something new from level 1.

Silver Crusade

Campaign Mode for an AP means that all the content is covered, and the GM has more freedom from 'run as written'.

Campaign mode can also be a large time investment, so keep that in mind when starting a PbP. I have a couple modules that have run quite long and caused some fatigue.

If I do it campaign mode, I'd still only run the PFS portions of the game, and give a brief storyline as to what happened during the other parts, it is just that players will have more freedom, and when I get to later parts of the book, they won't have to switch characters to make them fit the level.

That sounds like a pretty smart way to do it in PbP to keep the game moving at a decent speed.

A friend of mine had the idea to run Skulls and Shackles in 'campaign mode' where 'campaign mode' meant changing ships to spaceships and busting out the Starfinder books.

Recruiting a bit early for my next 6 scenario run!

The powers that be have allowed me to use the Siege of the Diamond City special as my starting point, so thus I must recruit a bit earlier than I intended.

All scenarios are season 5, in and around the Worldwound.

New players and RPers encouraged!

The recruiting thread is here if interested!

I seldom ask for help out here, but we do need help.

Our campaign of Emerald Spire top to bottom using dedicated PFS characters has unfortunately lost its GM. We would appreciate a replacement GM to pick us up and deal with us as we go down into the depths.

That might be a lot for any DM to catch up on. Do you know what floor number you are on, or what rooms you completed on that floor? I might try to get you through this then go onto Reign of Winter. It looks like you are on Part C, but which rooms did you explore?

spoiler:
The map in the campaign should make it obvious which direction the party was headed to. C1, C2 (talked to the guards but turned around), C3 (guards put to magical sleep, levers and strings pulled), and C6 has been explored fully. Half orc about to open the next door.

I have a couple of characters that I could send that are still 1st or 2nd level for the ROW campaign.

Thanks. The part I've never understood is how you handle the experience and wealth by level progressions. Each book of an AP gives 3 xp and the appropriate amount of gold for 1 level of adventuring at that tier. So how does a PC that starts at level 1, playing book 1 of an AP, get the right amount of xp and gold to be ready for book 6? It doesn't seem practical to have to play lots of other adventures on the side. And presumably not everyone has GM credit to apply. I don't get this aspect of it.

Silver Crusade

Your character in the campaign levels up whenever the GM says. It's only the PFS character who gets credit that needs to worry about the 3 EXP.

Campaign Mode is not tied to the characters receiving credit in any way. So later books earn the chronicles and they are held until the character reaches the level range of the chronicle. The campaign mode characters level however you want them to.

So the character you are playing in campaign mode isn't actually a PFS PC?
