I'm thinking about trying to get a quick table of something done before Retrocon in January. Anyone interested in a run of the conformation? I'd be focused on trying to move through it rather quickly and starting as soon as the table of the playtest I'm running finishes.

I timed asking about this at possibly the worst time, right before work was supposed to get really busy. Sorry! But with all of the interest I should have a full table for a confirmation.

Lupulus, Alina Vladinescu, Terevalis Unctio of House Mysti, lucklesshero, Saashaa, and kuey, if you are still interested your Confirmation is >here<. I'm looking at starting Monday if everyone can get a character ready by then! Apologies for the wait.

Dark Archive

Alina has found herself in another group, but I actually wanted to play Confirmation with a different PC that just got freed up a couple days ago. I posted in the thread with the other character, Dolora Oldfur.

Recruiting for PFS #7-28 Ageless Ambitions!

This is an excellent level 7-11 scenario if you (the player) have played #6-98 Serpent's Rise or if you (the character) are a member of the Sovereign Court.

Signup sheet can be found here. Waitlist will be drawn from on a first-come first-served basis.

Do you have what it takes to destroy the Korholm Agenda?

Hi Michael.

Good to see you took the plunge. I've got a scenario to finish up, and then I'll look to run one.

It will be closer to the first of December.

You will find something soon I'm sure. Lots of games opening up after Gameday is ending.

I've got room for a few games, so any help would be appreciated.

** spoiler omitted **

I've got space for few more games at the moment so any help would be appreciated.

Now that the special is over I have some bandwidth, and I haven't run an open game in a while. Now recruiting for #7-27 Beyond Azlant Ridge (tier 3-7). Rob has a reserved spot; anyone else interested, sign up here. Selections will be made by tomorrow (Friday) night, with an eye toward launching this weekend.

Hi Carrie,

I feel like I'm in a train station where all the trains are whizzing past and I see folks boarding the trains but I cant figure out how.

One of the GMs kindly offered me to join in a game which got me excited until I saw that it was one that we had already played in.

That made me despair because I realized that the route of having someone scoop me up was likely beset with frustration seeing as we have played/ run a lot of scenario's and I don't want it to turn into a string folks asking me to join in a game only to have me respond that I have already played it.

At this point I figure I just need to join something for Cameron and I. but I cannot figure out this whole 'dot' thing.

I have read through all kinds how to's for formatting and etiquette but I seem to be missing the "how to join a game"

the only thing I have been able to figure out is that it works something like picking sides in dodge ball.

"Dotting" is the process of posting in the gameplay section / tab of a campaign so that it appears under your "Campaigns" in your profile. People usually then delete the post so as to not clutter up the gameplay section with non-gameplay posts.

There are lots of different methods of recruitment at this lodge. First come, first served, lottery and GM selection are the main ones. The recruitment post will almost always include a link for where to go. The original post here or the linked post will generally describe the specific recruitment style being used for that particular game.

thank you for the response

so....

you just type the word dot as a response to the original invite, or is there some kind of formatting involved?

Type anything, then post in the gameplay thread.

To keep the thread clean, you can then immediately delete your post. The campaign will still be listed on your campaigns tab.

There are two main ways recruitment is done (in my experience.) One is through a spreadsheet and one is directly through the recruitment thread. As has been mentioned, most GM's provide a link to whichever process they're using. You simply post whatever the required information is in whichever format (usually player name, character name, class and levels and PFS number for a spreadsheet. Often nothing more than a post in the recruitment thread saying you're interested and potentially something about the character you plan to play in the recruitment thread.)

The GM will then make their selection, using whatever process they're using (either first come first serve, a lottery, or deciding what would be best based on party balance.) They'll then, usually reach out to the players (often in this thread, but sometimes through a PM and, rarely, just by asking you to check their spreadsheet) to tell them that they've been chosen and usually have the link to the game, again.

THEN you DOT so that the campaign shows up on your main page and you're good to go.

Michael if you're interested, I have an opening and possibly a second if someone doesn't post in the game soon, for a run of the Confirmation, that you can replay as many times as you have 1st level characters, and isn't a bad game to get into PbP with.

Also a general PSA, don't forget to check your PM inbox. The site still isn't showing new messages at a glance unless you open the drop down menu (on a computer browser) or go to the PM page on a mobile one.

Let me ditto the wonders of the PFS Tracker. It allows groups to find games to play together. It's an amazing tool, and it comes from the Netherlands, where the gardens sprout tulips, bicycles and 'stroopwafels.' (Or so I've heard.) Track your games there, and then GMs can input the usernames of their players and find a great game that will suit everyone.

AWESOME! I figured there was something like this that you folks were using! i had been tracking through NWPFS.org where they had a a spot for it. but recently it appears that they stopped supporting it so this is perfect timing. though it is going to take me a bit to transfer the info.

So, to needlessly reiterate. no, I have not registered my son and my scenarios played at that site, but will do so ASAP.

thank you for the heads up Magabeus!

now to work registering!

Question about the upcoming Retrocon: I'm first on the waitlist on the signup doc for Year of the Shadow Lodge (I've played all the other specials). There's room in some not-Paizo tables, but I don't feel ready for the learning curve of a different PbP system right now. Will there be an overflow Paizo.com table for waitlisters? I have characters in every sub tier.

I do have a few reserve GMs. I'll be making new tables as there are enough people on the wait list to make legal tables, so I can't give any definite answers whether another table will happen or not.

Silver Crusade

So if you want to play at Retrocon...sign up on the waitlist! New tables can and very well might be created...especially sign-up for the Cosmic Captive!

I tried to look up the listed specials on PFS Sessiontracker with no luck. Is there anywhere I can find out information about them to see if I have played them before? I started playing full-time at the end of Season 5, but I have played some of the earlier content as well.

Where can you get on the waitlist for a Retrocon game? I'd love to take part. I just finished the Assault on Absolom special and it was a blast.

If you go to "My account" > "Organized Play" > "Sessions" you should be able to see all games you've played as long as they have been reported.

I was hoping for the actual season/session numbers to make it easier, something that seems to be lacking in the recruitment offers.

Guess I will just have to do it the hard way.

Speaking of recruiting, my low tier CORE table of Seige of the Diamond city only has two signups at the moment. This is tier-1-2 so you can easily start up a new character if you want to.

You want to know the season numbers of the specials? Here they are:

2-00 or 2S or 1E Year of the Shadow Lodge
5-00 or 5S Siege of the Diamond City
6-00 Legacy of the Stonelords
8-00 Cosmic Captive

Does this help? They changed how they numbered specials a couple times, so some of the older specials can be found under different number designations.

Hmm

Thank you very much, Hmm.

I'm sure that I only have 1/4 of the characters and/or chronicles most of the people who post possess, but anything that helps sort through to see if I am able to play before the session is filled up is a bonus.

I store my chronicles in order, but without a starting point, it takes time to sort through them all.

Shadow Lodge

Phillip, have you seen this site? It's a fairly useful tool for just that problem. If you prefer a more private accounting, Google Sheets is a pretty good option. Here is the one I use.

I use PFS Sessiontracker in addition to the binder of chronicles. Knowing the number(s) to the session(s) being offered just makes it quicker than searching PFS to find the number, then switching to reported list to see if the number is checked off. Since games have a tendency to fill in a matter of 1-3 hours, every second saved helps.

It also allows newcomers that don't have all the sessions memorized an easier way to look up the basic info on PFS tracker to see if they are interested and/or have a character within range.

I am not trying to cause trouble. Anyone who has played with me knows that's not my way. I'm just trying to be helpful to the average players like myself.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Lost Omens Subscriber

PFS Tracker dot Net has a filterable custom search. I obtained the numbering for the two older specials that I didn't know by clicking "Include mutlitable" and typing in 'diamond' and 'shadow lodge' (I forgot we were doing Stonelord or I would have pulled that too).

I'm not sure where else to post this, but I've gotten a couple of inquiries about when/if I will be resuming my various runs of the Silverhex Chronicles.

I do plan to resume them and run each of the four remaining quests.

However, with the Thanksgiving holiday coming in the US and the boards thwarting my repeated attempts to make the campaigns "active" again, I am holding off resuming them until December 3rd. Hopefully, by then the web issues will be resolved.

If the web issues are resolved before then, I will try to muster earlier and get started. If not, then I may consider starting wholly new campaign threads for each.

Thank you all for your patience.

[ooc]If you aren't sure whether you were in one of the quests, you can check out the following tables the core table, the first standard table, and the second standard table.
