About Dunia Mbani
Dunia is nominally an Oread, though she thinks of herself as a historian, an archaeologist, a shaman, a warrior-exorcist, and a Mulaa well before she dwells on where the touch of Earth in her blood came from.
Though she believes that there is useful knowledge to be found within all the peoples of the world, as evidenced by her particular combination of Chelish exorcisms with the more animistic spiritualism of her Mulaa upbringing, she believes that the lost wonders of Garund have been lost for too long, and has made them her primary focus.
Dunia is broadly built, but very short, barely cresting over 4 feet. She has dark brown skin, thick black hair, and remote black eyes. She would nearly look like a particularly squat Mwangi woman if it weren't for the obsidian sheen she gives when light hits her.
Her expression is usually sour, and she frequently tries to avoid speaking too freely with those she isn't familiar with, as her accent, a Creole of Polyglot and Chelish Taldan, has frequently led to mockery or distrust in her travels. Typed as sounding something like Gambit

Darkvision: Dunia can see perfectly in the dark up to 60 feet.
Crystalline Form: Dunia gains a +2 racial bonus to AC against rays thanks to her reflective crystalline skin. In addition, once per day, she can deflect a single ray attack targeted at her as if she was using the Deflect Arrows feat.
Ferrous Growth: Dunia has learned how to mimic the magic of her shaitan ancestors. Once per day, she can cause a touched piece of non-magical iron or steel to grow into an object up to 10 pounds in weight, such as a sword, crowbar, or light steel shield. This object remains in this form for 10 minutes or until broken or destroyed, at which point it shrinks back to its original size and shape.
Granite Skin: Rocky growths cover Dunia's skin. She gains a +1 racial bonus to natural armor.
Mostly Human: Dunia has an appearance much closer to those of her human ancestors. She appears to be human, and she counts as humanoid (human) as well as outsider (native) for all purposes (such as humanoid-affecting spells such as charm person or enlarge person). She does not automatically gain her associated elemental language.
Ectoplasmic Lash: As a full-round action Dunia can manifest one or two lashes of ectoplasm tethered to her by wispy, ectoplasmic tendrils. If she manifests two lashes, she can wield them both as light melee weapons, each dealing 1d6 points of slashing damage with a critical threat range and multiplier of 19–20/×2. If the ectoplasmatist manifests only one lash, she can manifest it either as a single one-handed melee weapon that deals 1d8 points of slashing damage with a critical threat range and multiplier of 19–20/×2, or as a two-handed melee weapon that deals 2d6 points of bludgeoning damage with a critical multiplier of ×2.
Dunia can use her lashes as reach weapons or use them to manipulate objects from a distance. When used as weapons, the lashes gain an additional 10 feet of reach. Unlike most other weapons with reach, the lashes can be used to attack foes anywhere within her reach (including adjacent foes). When the lashes are used to manipulate items, they have the same manual dexterity as Dunia’s hands.
Only Dunia can wield or use these lashes. Dismissing any or all manifested lashes is a free action. Any lashes manifested gain a +3 Enhancement Bonus, Ghost Touch, and are treated as Lawful and Good for overcoming damage reduction.
Spiritual Combat: As a full-round action, Dunia can make all of her attacks with a single light or one-handed ectoplasmic lash wielded in one hand, and also cast a single spiritualist spell with a casting time of one standard action as a free action either before or after making the ectoplasmic lash attacks. Dunia takes a –2 penalty on her attack rolls when using spiritual combat. If she decides to cast the spell defensively, she can choose to take an additional penalty on her attack rolls up to her Wisdom bonus, and add the same amount as a circumstance bonus on her concentration check. If the concentration check fails, the spell is wasted, but the attacks still take the penalty.
Also, when Dunia casts a spiritualist spell with a range of touch, she can deliver the spell through one of her ectoplasmic lashes. Instead of making the free melee touch attack she would normally use to deliver the spell, she can choose to make a free ectoplasmic lash attack at her highest base attack bonus. A successful lash attack deals damage normally and imparts the spell’s effects. Dunia can’t hold the charge if her lash attack misses.
Ectoplasmic Armor: When Dunia manifests her spiritual lash ability, tendrils of ectoplasmic material envelop her body, granting her a +4 armor bonus to AC.
Detect Undead: Dunia’s connection with the Ethereal Plane has become so strong that she can use detect undead at will as a spell-like ability with a caster level equal to her spiritualist level (10).
Calm Spirit: Dunia may use calm spirit as a spell-like ability once per day. (DC 9)
See Invisibility: Dunia has gained the ability to see many things normally hidden from sight. She can use see invisibility as a spell-like ability once per day with a duration of 10 minutes.

Combat Reflexes: Dunia may make a number of additional attacks of opportunity per round equal to her Dexterity bonus (2). She may also make attacks of opportunity while flat-footed.
Phalanx Formation: Dunia is trained to use long weapons in tight formations. When she wields a reach weapon with which she is proficient, allies don’t provide soft cover to opponents she attacks with reach.
Spell Focus (Necromancy): Dunia adds +1 to the Difficulty Class for all saving throws against spells from the Necromancy school.
Weapon Focus (Ectoplasmic Lash): Dunia gains a +1 bonus on all attack rolls she makes using her Ectoplasmic Lash.
Greater Spell Focus (Necromancy): Dunia adds another +1 to the Difficulty Class for all saving throws against spells from the Necromancy school
Armor Expert: When Dunia wears armor of any sort, reduce that suit's armor check penalty by 1, to a minimum check penalty of 0.

Prestige and Boons::
Planar Sage: Dunia is versed in the ancient cultures and the bound elementals that helped build their wonders. She is trained in Knowledge (history and planes) and treats her bonus on these checks as though it were 3 plus the number of goals she has completed (+15). If her skill bonus is higher she instead gains a +2 bonus on that check.
Soul Warden: Dunia studied ancient secrets that help anchor her soul to her body. She treats her Constitution score as 4 points higher for the purposes of determining when hit point damage kills her.
Elemental Ward: Dunia is skilled at defending herself and her allies against creatures with the Air, Earth, Fire, or Water subtypes. She and all allies within 10' gain a sacred bonus to AC and on all saving throws against such foes equal to 1+1 for every four goals she has completed. (+4)
Lessons of History: Dunia is adept at avoiding the mistakes of the past. Once per adventure when she attempts and fails an attack roll, skill check, or saving throw and then attempts that check again, she can add an insight bonus to the second roll equal to 2+1/2 her goals (+5).
Scholar of the Sages (3/3 checked): Dunia's studies of the sage's wisdom have given her insight into the past. She gains a +1 bonus on Knowledge (history) checks pertaining to ancient sites. This bonus increases to +2 for checks pertaining to sites from ancient Osirion.
Gripplis' Favor: Dunia has earned the recognition of the Krihirik tribe in the Kaava Lands, granting her a +2 bonus on Charisma-based checks made to influence gripplis. In addition, this boon may be used in conjunction with other boons to grant one or more of my characters access to grippli-related options.
Sky Key Component (Sargava): Dunia has recovered one of the five lost components of the strange relic known as the Sky Key. This piece once belonged to Sigrin, who founded the now abandoned settlement of Ashkurhall in the Bandu Hills.
Confirmed Field Agent: Having successfully completed and documented her Confirmation, Kreighton Shaine has formally recognized her as a field agent and given her a Wayfinder engraved with her name and the date of her graduation. She has been granted a wayfinder for free.
Explore, Report, Cooperate: Dunia has an excellent sense of what makes an exemplary Pathfinder. As a free or immediate action, she may consider whether a particular action she names would help realize the goals of the Pathfinder Society. The GM then informs her whether the action's impact would be positive, negative, or negligible as it pertains to the secondary success condition(s) of the current scenario. This boon may only be used once.
Friend of Janira Gavix: The field agent who oversaw her Confirmation is appreciative of her bravery and camaraderie in the face of danger. She helps Dunia perform research, granting her a +1 bonus on Knowledge checks attempted while she is at the Grand Lodge.
Alien Language: While exploring the strange ruins beneath and around Torch, Dunia found that most of the writing and signs were in an alien language known as Androffan. There are enough surviving texts that she can learn Androffan.
Otherworldly Beasts (1 Use): Not all of the habitation pods that Dunia found were broken; one contained an exceedingly rare desert-dwelling species from another world. Dunia may use this boon before making an attack against any creature not native to Golarion to gain a +2 bonus on the attack roll and increase the critical threat range for the attack by 1.
Resisting the Gossamer King: Dunia's body was subject to a barrage of poisons and diseases in Ravenmoor. She had to either fight through those debilitating effects coursing through her veins or die. As a result, her body has toughened, and she has gained a measure of immunity to diseases and poisons. She receives a +1 bonus to her saves against poisons and diseases.
Hero of Magnimar: Thanks to her actions in Ravenmoor, and the protection of Magnimar's interest in Varisia, Dunia has received a medal and public thanks from the authorities of the city. While displaying her medal she gains a +2 bonus to her Bluff, Diplomacy, and Intimidate checks in Magnimar and in the cities and towns allied with it.
Diverse Training: Kreighton Shaine's ability to speak at length about virtually any topic is merely an extension of his years of scholarship and his limitless capacity for extemporaneous theory-crafting. Dunia has a talent for distinguishing his facts from his hypotheses, granting her a rudimentary understanding of countless skills. Once per scenario, Dunia may attempt a skill check as if she were trained in that skill. Her bonus on the check is equal to three plus my number of GM stars and is modified by no other modifers (+5).
Oft-Lectured: The Master of Scrolls is known for his rambling, esoteric talks that favor the elf’s train-of-thought speech patterns. Where others might have lost interest, Dunia has gleaned a multitude of academic knowledge from Shaine’s disjointed thoughts and theories. When she rolls a Knowledge check at the beginning of an adventure (such as immediately after a receiving a mission), she gain a bonus on the check equal to your number of GM stars (+2).
Reckless Revenge: Dunia chose to undermine Torch's schemes in Osirion, but he easily identified her plans. She has developed a reputation as one who seeks Torch's downfall, even if she is not always successful.
Seeking the Sages x2: Dunia is in pursuit of the legacy of the Jeweled Sages, which Amenopheus believes is very close at hand. (This boon increases the numerical bonuses of Savior of the Sages)
Elemental Conquest (1/1): Dunia has fought and fraternized with the guardians of Aucturn's Tear, and although she triumphed, it is clear that this is not the last time she'll clash with elemental forces.
Ranginori's Debt (1/2): Dunia helped recover the Untouchable Opal, within which Ranginori, Elemental Lord of Air, is trapped. While imprisoned, his power is limited. Nonetheless, he has granted her an initial gift with the promise of greater rewards should the Society free him. Twice Dunia can activate this boon as a standard action.
Mythic Legacy (1/1): Although her mythic power was short-lived, Dunia has retained a small reserve of that legendary essence for later use. Dunia may activate this boon once as a free action, to gain the benefit of the mythic version of one of her feats for one round (or skill check) as if she had spent one mythic power.
Savior of the Sages: With Dunia's help, the Osirion faction has realized its goal of rebuilding the order of the Jeweled Sages. Like the order, she is able to linger at the edge of death yet awaken again when conditions are right, and her time studying the sages' secrets has made her an expert in Osirian history. Dunia's effective Constitution score for determining when she would die increases by 3, and she gets a +3 bonus on Constitution checks to stabilize. In addition, Dunia gains a +3 bonus on Knowledge (History) and Knowledge (Religion) checks regarding Osirion and its gods.
Scrap-Worthy: The gangs and denizens of Scrapwall have learned to respect Dunia's power, and as they scatter across Numeria, these survivors spread fearful tales of her accomplishments. When Dunia earns other Chronicles from Iron Gods she receives an additional PP and Fame.
Information Brokerage: Dunia is connected to a network of spies and informants who keep her abreast of the goings-on in the world. This network has allowed her to capitalize on sharing or refusing to share specific information as the situation and her clients dictate.
Air Spirit’s Blessing: Dunia saved the Temple of the Sky from almost certain destruction, and the air spirits that reside there have granted her their blessing. One time she may activate one of the following spells as a spell-like ability using her character level as your caster level and Wisdom as your key ability score: Feather fall, fly, gust of wind, lightning bolt, wind wall, air walk, chain lightning.
Teetering Alliance: By deciding to continue with her mission instead of helping the Hellknights fight against the qlippoth forces, Dunia has weakened the ties between the Hellknights and the Pathfinder Society. She takes a –2 penalty on all Diplomacy, Bluff, and Intimidate checks against members of a Hellknight order.
Visage of the Broodlord: Dunia found a twisted mask on one of the followers of the shoggti qlippoth That Which Peels Flesh. It is a greater visage of the broodlord. She may purchase it for the discounted price of 14,000 gp.
Accumulating an Army (Mammoth Riders): Dunia successfully recruited the aid of a small, capable tribe of Kellid people hardened by years of constant strife, and they are ready to aid her when the Pathfinder Society embarks to secure and explore the Sky Citadel of Jormurdun.
Righteous Redemption: Thanks to her work bringing a lost hero's legacy to light, key leaders in the crusader nation of Lastwall have begun seeing Pathfinders less as ruffians and more as potential allies. Between adventures or while in Lastwall, Dunia has requisitioned two scrolls of lesser restoration.
Worthy Foe (2/3): Lastwall is the Inner Sea's bulwark against countless evils, and Dunia has proven herself against a local villain. Thrice as a swift action, she may gain one of two benefits against undead creatures. First, she can gain a +2 bonus on attack and weapon damage rolls, as well as a +2 dodge bonus against their attacks. Alternatively, she can gain a +2 bonus on checks to overcome their spell resistance, increase the save DC of her spells and abilities against them by 1, and gains a +2 bonus on saving throws against their spells and abilities. Either benefit lasts until the beginning of her next turn.
Rescuing Casandalee: Dunia has recovered an artificial intelligence known as Casandalee. Her neurocam is missing, and so she cannot yet provide Dunia any aid.
Inured to Smoke: After spending hours in the Choking Tower, Dunia has developed several tricks to weather airborne hazards. She can use up this boon in order to reduce her miss chance imposed by fog, mist, or smoke by 15% for 1 minute. Alternatively, she can use up this boon before attempting a saving throw against an inhaled poison or similar airborne threat in order to treat her result as 11+her character level (20).
Elemental Voyager: As the Pathfinder Society turns its attention to the elemental planes, Dunia has had an opportunity to immerse herself in a culture from beyond the Material Plane. She has learned Auran.
Exemplar of the Order: Dunia's devotion to the Jeweled Sages has her poised to become the next member of the order. When playing an adventure, she can fulfill and check up to two boxes on her Scarab Sages Faction Journal Card. She may spend 30 PP on the Jeweled Sage Boon.
Savior of Knowledge (5/5): Dunia aided the Jeweled Sages in their hour of need, and they quickly answer her calls for help. Once per scenario when adventuring in Absalom or Osirion, a sage can offer advice on any subject, granting Dunia a +5 insight bonus on one knowledge check. Five times Dunia can instead receve direct attention from a sage anywhere. The sage attempts a trained knowledge check with a bonus equal to twice Dunia's character level, and provides the information to her via mental magical communication.
Torch's Respect: Torch has developed a grudging respect for Dunia and makes an effort to avoid harming her. When interacting with Torch or his agents, Dunia gains a +2 circumstance bonus on Bluff, Diplomacy, and Intimidate checks. If she would die while fighting Grandmaster Torch or his agents, Dunia can use up this boon to return to life with 0 hit points at the end of the encounter.
Charted Pillars: Dunia can borrow a copy of Venture-Captain Norden Balentiir's map of the Pillars of the Sun while traveling to that region. The map is imperfect, but it provides enough sufficient information about safe routes through the mountains that she gains a +2 bonus on Knowledge (geography) and Survival checks made when navigating that area.
Honored Acolyte: The flawed sage jewel that Dunia created did not have lasting power, but Tahonikepsu believes it still has the capacity to store memories, focus thoughts, and serve as a model by which the order might one day create a new sage jewel. Once per scenario, Dunia may roll two dice and take the better result when making a Knowledge (history) check.
Relic Guardian: Dunia's stewardship of historical treasures inspires her to act quickly to save such relics from destruction. Once per scenario, when an unattended object within her reach is targeted by an offensive spell, attack, or effect, she can treat that object as though it were in her possession for the purpose of attempting saving throws and resisting sunder attempts. If an opponent succeeds at a sunder check against an object in her possession she may use up this boon to force them to reroll the attack with a -5 penalty.
Earth Affinity: Dunia's connection to elemental earth has grown stronger over the course of her recent adventures.
Gemstone Secrets: Dunia's experience in working closely with magical gems has given her insight into how to efficiently utilize their magic. When she would expend a use from a magic gem, she may immediately use up this boon to recover the expended use. This cannot affect an effect that replicates a spell of 7th level or higher.
Jeweled Sage: Through a ritual Dunia led with the other Jeweled Sages, Dunia has created a sage jewel that will grow in power with her and preserve her knowledge for all time. Dunia gains a +3 insight bonus on Knowledge (history) and Linguistics checks. Once per day when attempting a Knowledge check, she can roll twice and take the higher result. Additionally, she can cast comprehend languages oncer per day as a spell-like ability (CL 15th). She is recognized as a leading scholar in many fields, and gains a +2 circumstance bonus on Bluff, Diplomacy, and Intimidate checks when dealing with other scholars and experts.
