I do see your point Dami, but for me *shrug* maybe it's the ADHD, but I find that the whole spell prep thing drives me nuts. Especially when you're already getting hit on the rest thing. And as someone who usually plays casters when I'm a player this is one of those things that just bugs me and honestly keeps me from playing classes like wizard. So I'm a bit prejudiced in favor of the less time thing since home games often do become a resource management thing which is a bit of a snooze. Cause ADHD and bookkeeping rarely mix well. :)

And i have to say- no clue. I haven't had a caster that prepares spells and sleeps normally. Overall, i don't know. But if it was played realistally, they would have to wait a long time to interact, as there are several early risers.Vriskra, for example. She slept in late one day. I took this into account, and the time that passed for it to be actually sleeping in late, was a total of two weeks for me, four hours for her.

Does Renkai generate any kind of smell? Scent would come into play here.

Ace is completely overwhelmed due to all the raw emotion present at the crater scene, as well as the presence of several Champions, along with Genosuke who just by his very power level contributed.
Ace's Detect Thoughts has never been a constant or even controlled effect. Instead, I've gotten Lyn's approval for it to be more a plot device/RP element, almost like a premonition. Right now, its been utterly overloaded and in a super charged mode.
At FCD, yea, its supposed to be all the champions, as it seemed a fitting group for him to be bombarded by. I just could only remember those I listed. At first, I was only going to have it be Fei and Vai, as they were right there, but that seemed far too few. All the Champs however? That's definitely enough.
As to your questions, I'm kinda confused by the first. Who would be getting them? You mean, aside from my PC Ace, who was the person suffering from the mental overload?
As to when, um, that should be obvious. When he had the breakdown, after the Kitsune left, with Vai and Fei being the only two left with him at the crater.
