Lol I have been caughting up on my table top watching. Just noticed they have played one of my multiple groups favorite games. (Lords of Waterdeep) OMG I couldn't stop laughing.
I feel for Wil though. I'm usually the one getting all the BS quests. ☹

Yea, he believes in fighting fair, most of the time. Also, his weapon would be his claws, and I kinda just wanted to beat on you, as I wasn't sure if the wards would kick in for non lethal or not.
Oh, and my item is not yet finalized, which could effect his attacks as well.

FireclawDrake |

The wards probably wouldn't have kicked in for non-lethal if you were a student, but they are alot harsher to non-students I reckon, especially since they've been upgraded since yesterday.
I don't mind when bad stuff happens to my characters. Ehos in particular. You might've noticed, he's kinda my whipping boy. ;D

What is it with the rping food consumption, is it an in joke?
Please don't. We already one rather nasty player get all butthurt about how we RP eating. Course, its often a lead in to other things, but he pretty much wanted all action all the time.

Ok all was scanning the boards and now I have a question...
with the new Mythic rules now released (even available in Hero Lab) will we be using these rules?
if so would it be available to established characters or just to new characters.
If not then I guess we should put that out there in the new players guide.
any thoughts?

Can you link these so I know what you're talking about?

Aananda is an earthbender, MG. This is how Ardiente can be an earthbender - it's an amethyst dragon thing. Not sure if that's just one of the bits of history that was cleaned up from the old game, but Aananda is 100% earthbender.
Re: food. I acutally think that what a person eats/how they eat can say alot about their personality. That's just me though. :)

Monkeygod |

Oh, she seemed to have used waterbending when she washed some blood of a wall at crime scene, and hails from the Temple of Falling Water...
Course, perhaps that is all different now, hence the "was" above.
Hey FCD, you get my PM? I have another to send you about what we discussed last night, but if you're too busy, I can wait.

We use the Epic rules from 3.5 already... I'm not really sure that Mythic characters will have a place in this game... at very least, probably not for students.
Not my call though.

Yeah, just been a busy day and trying to squeeze in posting. Catching up now though.
About Aananda, maybe the bending stuff is something that was cleaned up when they did the switch to the Avalon game. (There's a note in the Campaign info that says some of that stuff was cleaned up)

O_O
Please no. . . . . The slight balance we have would be blasted into kingdom come. . . . ."I have an initiative build character. I'm pretty sure I go first."
"Nope. I'm a mythic. You lose."

Monkeygod |

I think it could, but for very specific characters, as in made with the rules, not thrown on an existing character.
I could almost see a Mythic path being one half a gestalt, but I would have to read over the new, complete rules to be sure. I only have the playtest.
Course, there's also no reason to not allow the rules piecemeal in this game as well. Maybe using a couple of mythic powers as special abilities of a PC, a few mythic spells for a particularly powerful caster, etc.

Monkeygod |

Woah MG we posted on the exact same second... Heavy
Lol, yea, I saw that.
Foul's suggestion is also a good one. Once again, without seeing the new rules, I say its a possibility, but would need to be carefully balanced.
The Mythic rules were designed to bend, and almost break the rules. Throwing such on top of gestalt could very easily throw the entire power structure out of whack. Even a tier or two just tossed onto a PC could be really bad, balance wise. Ace and David are two PCs off the top of my head that would get a serious power boost. Renaki is probably another.
I hope to get a HC copy soon, and I will devour said book quite rapidly. Once done, I'll be able to truly weigh in on using the rules in Avalon.
Actually, again depending, one thing I could see easily being added without too much worry/risk would be the magic items, since our current system is not only restrictive, but allows for magic items to be a lot more powerful than normal. The ones from the playtest aren't super uber, but could make for solid items for an Avalon PC.
Also, I believe they added a type of Item of Legacy system to the rules as well, which could also be fitting for this setting.

That is the name of the temple. There's a waterfall...the monks were a bit on the literal side. :)
As for the 'waterbending', she actually was supposed to do both at one point...clean up the history a touch and she does it by creating a tremor under the bucket and causing the water to splash...meh, I'm reaching. We had to do a fair amount of cleaning up from the beginning of the thread to the end. It got more consistent as we went.

I think mythic is really not gonna be coming into this game anytime soon if ever. I don't have the time to convert all the NPCs I would have to convert to make that a reality.

Being an angel of Fred in 2e was an interesting thing
As an angle you couldn't lie
But as a servant of Fred you were heavily encouraged not to tell the whole truth
(Fred was a LN red dragon greater deity of deception, drinking, merchantiliam, anf. agriculture he also took the form of an ogre)

O.o...... I dont think I'm in the same catagory as Ace & Dave... Am I?
