I'm not sure if I'm applying all of Pádraig Henry's modifiers in the correct/most beneficial ways on the Rebellion spreadsheet.
Sentinel:
The officer grants a +1 bonus to the rebellion’s two secondary Organization checks, and can aid during all Organization checks attempted to resolve one event during the Event phase.
The Sentinel can add her Constitution or Charisma modifier to a Loyalty check, her Strength or Wisdom Modifier to a Security check, or her Dexterity or Intelligence modifier to a Secrecy check made during this event’s resolution.
Natural-Born Leader trait:
Whenever you found yourself involved in a group effort in the past, be it working with siblings to handle a family emergency, conspiring with friends to orchestrate a prank, or throwing in with coworkers to take care of an unanticipated complication at work, you tended to end up in a position of leadership. It might be unclear to you why this is the case, or you might deliberately seek out such positions, knowing you can organize any group to be something greater than the sum of its parts, but your knack for managing groups has always pushed you to the front of any operation you’ve found yourself a part of.
You excel in the role of manager. You treat your Charisma score as if it were 14 (or 2 points higher than its actual score if your actual Charisma is already 14 or higher) for the purposes of determining how many teams you can manage in the rebellion, and for the purposes of determining the bonus you add to your managed teams’ actions.
In addition, you gain a +1 trait bonus to your Leadership score if you take the Leadership feat.

Thanks for explaining these to me, Pádraig. When an Officer manages a team, they include their charisma when determining the results of their Team Action roll. I think we may have done this incorrectly in the past, as the 'Bonus' column for all the teams is 1. Padraig's should be 4, given his CHA score, and Victor's should be 2. I updated these now.
Since the Peddlers' Earn Gold is a Security check, PH would roll d20+Security+4 when using that specific team.
We also forgot Pádraig's +1 bonus to the rebellion's two secondary organization checks. Since the Rebellion focus is Secrecy, his secondary checks are the two remaining: Loyalty and Security. Each of these should get a +1 from PH being a Sentinel. I have added these to the sheet.
With that feat, it's important to track your Leadership Score. There are benefits from reaching certain Leadership Score through the Leadership feat that are detailed in the Player's Guide on page 26.

If there's no objections, I will assume that every mundane item on the list will be sold off. Anything beyond mundane items, please add 'Sell' to the description column. I'll have this done tonight.
Any thoughts on your actions? Sounds like Earn Gold and Recruit Supporters are a start, but you also need a 3rd.

Issil Tanessen |

Gold from Museum First room (14.2)
light mace (I forget sale price)
vials of unholy water x2 (12.5 x 2)
onyx gems x4
Dusty Old Tomes (200)
owl-shaped platinum letter opener (50)
silver magnifying glass (150)
ivory-and-gold bookmark
I feel like we didn't Appraise some of these.
Onyx Gems: 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 3 + 1 = 19
Bookmark: 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 3 + 1 = 21
That should handle that.
---
Sounds like we should just earn more gold for our third action. We don't have the money to upgrade teams.

Geoffrey Piersym |

Sounds good to me GM Red. There is also a breastplate with the Asmodean symbol that needs to be sold.
Earning extra gold is fine by me.

![]() |

Sounds good.
On my to-do list is figuring out how much gold Pádraig Henry has. He could use some basic equipment upgrades.

Morvena Sarini |

Count me in agreement for earning extra gold!

Roger Schmitt |

Ya we were planning earlier on spamming earn gold as much as possible since we po.

![]() |

Alright, I hope I didn't overdo it with the size of those posts! I'll stop there for now to give you guys some time to catch up and such.

I was so tempted to take a level of Vigilante and use smoke sticks to make dramatic entrances while calling myself Batman The Carnelian Signet.
Speaking of which, I suggest we buy some disguise kits. Victor can help us play dress up. Issil is going to find a ruby-studded red mask. Not to help with the disguise, but because it looks good.

Issil Tanessen |

Disguise Kit is 50 gp for 10 uses. It gives you a +2 bonus to disguise checks.
Not that Pádraig and Morevena can cast Disguise Self and Disguise Other, assuming they prepare the spell/find a scroll.
A hat of disguise costs 1800 gp and glamered armor costs 2700 gp.
To feed her need for greed, Issil will look for a fancy ruby-encrusted mask that costs 50 gp.
Smokesticks cost 20 gp a pop and last for 1 minute... really?
---
GM can I buy a fancy mask and a smokestick?

![]() |

Can we share the cost of the wand of cure light wounds? Split 5 ways, that should be 150gp a piece.

Geoffrey Piersym |

I thought that was the intention all along, was to split the cost? Anyway Geoff is perfectly happy doing so.

Morvena Sarini |

Sounds good to me!

Geoffrey Piersym |

150 gp spent.

Morvena Sarini |

Updated my gold to reflect 150 gp for the wand and 60 gp for the spell scribing earlier.

Roger Schmitt |

So did we split up the gold from the sold items? Usually I find the easiest way for purchases like this to just be put on the loot page as a negative income and it gets split easy enough between the group when we 'cash out'.
Definitely a purchase Victor is all in for, however we do it, just let me know.

Morvena Sarini |

Hum, not sure if we did yet or not. I kinda thought we hadn't just yet - maybe we can offload some stuff to The Newt while we're here?

![]() |

You actually did offload your mundane goods in this annoyingly monstrous post when I posted the activity phase.

![]() |

Just giving Victor a chance to get caught up before I advance us too far ahead.

Roger Schmitt |

Ok handed back my 146g share of that 730g with a 4g kicker for my share of the healing wand. Then deducted 5s to cross that blasted bridge.

![]() |

The party gains 1,200 XP for showing restraint and avoiding confrontation, and 400 XP for assisting the armiger!
I think we're finished up with that scene, so I will have us on our way to the Shrine of Saint Senex tomorrow. I believe you'd agreed on going after dark, but how will you be doing it? If you plan on doing it in a stealthy way, can you roll Stealth with a Gameplay post so I can use it in tomorrow's post?

Roger Schmitt |

Hoorah for xp! Well done Padraig on the daring doo. The difference in good verses neutral characters... You wanted to help the prisoner and Victor felt like he mostly wanted to mess with the authority figures!

Roger Schmitt |

Woe is the day we run into something throwing around lawful spells. Won't be pretty.

I really don't like sharing details about my personal life publicly, let alone on an online gaming forum, but since there's a good chance it's going to impact both the quality and quantity of my posting here, I felt I needed to in fairness.
My wife and I have decided to separate - just writing that sucks - but separate as amicably as possible. It wasn't for any one given event or occurrence, but a gradual, slow erosion of what the relationship once was, eventually leading to me calling it off last month.
That's all I'm going to say about it. I talk to you folks enough that I feel a sense of community here, so I don't mind sharing. I have to warn you that I've been less patient than usual, and I've been catching myself being ruder than usual even to people I normally get along perfectly with. I apologize if I come off as a jerk in the near term.
I fully intend to continue this game and my others, and continue as a player in games of yours that I'm playing in, but for the short-term (as you may have already noticed) there are going to be days where I just can't summon the inspiration to key up a post.
As for me, I'm fine. Mostly. Just pretty shaken and it all seems very surreal. I hope that play-by-post continues to be my creative escape. Thanks for reading.
Now that that's out of the way, I do plan on updating Gameplay tonight. :)

I'm very sorry to hear this Red, but I am glad that you two are trying to make it as amicable as possible. Don't worry about the games; post when you feel inspired and take time off when you don't. We'll be here.

I'll be traveling to and from Gen Con over this coming week. I will post when I can, but it will unlikely be every day.

There's a bit of a downtime (a 'Golden Saucer' sort of thing, for you Final Fantasy fans) period in the adventure at this point, where you can play bar games with the patrons ultimately based on the outcome of die rolls. I suppose some may even gamble with you. However, I can skip that altogether if there's more interest in pushing forward with the meat of the adventure. What do you think?

Roger Schmitt |

Sounds interesting if it develops more characters in the city I'm all in. But if I'm the only one interested then feel free to go with the majority.

Geoffrey Piersym |

Sounds interesting. Exploring the various NPCs in the bar could lead to some interesting RPing, and I can never turn down the chance to gamble he he.

Morvena Sarini |

I'm fine with it even if Morvena might scoff a little :)

![]() |

Further to Padraig's IC thought... I could get you guys to roll 3 dart throws each time. We will otherwise be here a while!

Geoffrey Piersym |

Sounds like a plan!

Morvena Sarini |

Checking in!

Geoffrey Piersym |

*crosses fingers*

![]() |

If everyone could also check in here, I can make sure I don't move us too far before we're all aware the boards are back. :)

Geoffrey Piersym |

Here.

![]() |

Been at a local con, Dragonflight, all day. Busy this weekend, but I'll post when I can.

![]() |

How about three more activities for this week? Recruit supporters, earn gold, spread disinformation, or perhaps something else? What'll it be?

Roger Schmitt |

I'd say double gold and something else. How's our treasury compared to our supporter numbers/level?

![]() |

Gold is good. Re recruitment, I'd like to see if one or more of the armigers would like to try life on the wild side. Hortense might be motivated to join us.
Melting down that mithral sword we found to get a small-sized rapier and perhaps another weapon made would be wonderful.

Geoffrey Piersym |

If our gold is stable, then upgrading one of our current teams would be a good idea. Spreading some disinformation might be wise as we have gathered some Notoriety now.
I am OK with melting the sword down, as long as Octavia is OK with that :P
