You have high enough know religion to know that the most effective way to deal with a haunt is to channel positive energy or cast healing spells vs. an AC of 10.

A haunt siphon still does only 3d6 damage.

Abomentolor already has a +3 cloak and Darius will use his greater angelic aspect which gives him +4. So fine with me.

Counteroffer: You get cursed with two permanent negative levels that can't be removed by magic, but only get lifted over time. And you return with Abomentolor to his adventure - Shattered Star. There are two books and the last chapter of the 4th book left. The adventure progresses to level 17.

The Adventure was my first one that I played with a single player. It quickly turned into a romance novel. As a side effect everyone in the party had personal side quests. For example, building a castle to live in. Abomentolor rules over the city district Underbridge in Magnimar and owns a brewery.

All this was fun, but had the side effect that the party wasn't optimized for combat and got stuck in a dungeon crawl where almost every monster was resistant to most stuff the party had to offer. When the only not-GM-player left, the game went into hibernation.

I haven't playey many APs to the end. This here is the second one. But so far I experienced you always need someone who can take a hit and deals big damage in a mechanical way. And there is no class doing that better than a pally.

You can do that with a barbarian and a fighter too, but if the party doesn't properly support those characters, they'll die. A pally can do on himself for a while with all the immunity and the swift healing.

The Shattered Star AP isn't heavy on undead. It is collecting the seven pieces of the shattered star. Each piece represents a school of magic, but not the current schools like evocation and conjuration, but the ancient ones from the time of the runelords which named the schools after the seven deadly sins. So it follows the basic story of every AP: Smash in the heads of the evil guys.

Details can be asked from Abomentolor when the discussion comes up in game.

About control undead: You have 15 Min to do whatever you want with the dragon, with no further saves for the undead. But it won't kill itself. Or would it? Well, Abomentollor hasn't ordered it to.

I'm a friend of making it easy, therefore the two negative levels. That adjustment is easy enough.

The fights in Shattered star were annoyingly hard. Now they will be easy. If you'll find them to be boring, I'll send you some item destroying monster to fix that. Otherwise I'm fine with being overpowered for the rest of the dungeon ahead of us.

With the teleport to Magnimar, I'll split the post and put a link in the CC game that leads to the target destination of the teleport of the Shattered Star.

You want to do something in Caliphas, before I do so? Selling and buying stuff from Lini doesn't count, as you'll end up in her Shop in Magnimar, which looks the same as in Caliphas.

Lini has shops everywhere. Well, at least in all large cities. And it doesn't get much larger than Magnimar.
And Magnimar is the capital of Varisia,

And Lini has had a shop there for reasons even before the one in Caliphas.

I seriously need to read my campaign setting more properly.
