We did a decent job with the last dungeon because we actually took the time to buff before we went in.
What do you say if we do that again?
I’m thinking we buy a number of scrolls that can be used.
For example we have the discussion of how to get to the next place. Well phantom steed communal seemss as like the perfect solution. 100’ flying mounts for the entire party all day for the cost of 2 of Stams 4th level spell slots seems a good deal.
Buffs we might want considering we are going against a lich. Death Ward, circle of pro evil, spell resistance Freedom of movement,
Combine with potions of fly and see invisibility and we are in a pretty good state to handle most of what will come at us.
The spells last minutes or longer so we can cast them off scrolls or you can memorize them and use spell slots.
Add in a couple heal and raise dead scrolls (in case we need them) and that is way cheaper then trying to buy items that do all that like a staff of life.
Do we need multiple copies of things like Death ward if we are heading into lots of Undead?
I would think we would want at least the front line to be protected, but if we end up fighting something like spectors that can move past the front line, you may want multiple versions of the spell to prevent significant level drains.
@Gregof
I'm fine with waiting a day or two for Stam if he's around.
But if no new post pops up if he doesn't I might as well forget that the game is stuck for a while.
When you think we waited long enough, you can simply tell Darius of your findings with detect evil as that lowers the DC by 5 and with that, below what he rolled.
Dang it.... I posted to the discussion that I wanted to buy a couple see invisilbity potions and potions of fly. But never posted them to gameplay.
I really did intend to buy them.
Do I have them or not?
And if I do have them how much should I mark off my gold?
Also what you do, as the tree grabs for you. Because you would have to walk through some AoOs to get somewhere. Fo rsome enemies more for some less. But you have the movement to reach anyone you want and hit them.
Is everyone aware how haunts work? Because I get the impression that not.
A haunt is like an undead incorporeal trap. You get a perception check to notice that you triggered it. If you notice, you get a surprise round to act before it hits you.
You can harm it with positive energy, like channel, cure spells and the like. If you have to aim it's vs. AC10. No search necessary. If you experience the haunt, you're in its area.
Interesting part is, that everyone who is immune to fear is immune to the primary effect. Sadly no one cares to write down what is primary and what it secondary effect. :(
I would hope we are, after all we fought enough of them early in the AP.
But that was years ago in RL so I appreciate the refresher.
I remember having to find the haunt before I could hit it back then, but as I said it was a long time ago.
I could use the ring + 3. I'm not going to worry too much about getting my AC too high. I do enough damage that it's not like most monsters can ignore me.
Also the elixir of hiding would help if we actually want to sneak someplace.
That spellbook is full of nasty stuff. Glad I killed him.
I don't know. But usually after we kill enough people/creatures it finally makes sense and leads us on to the next site, where we continue the killing spree. :D
I think you are searching for Count Lucinean Galdana whom - according to Ramoska Arkminos - they want to turn into the Whispering Tyrant.
There are a total of four ceremonial headpieces on display. If collected, the various gems adorning the ceremonial outfits have quite some value. In addition, four exquisite wands (spent of all their charges and now nonmagical) are made of valueable materials and might sell for even more based on historical significance. The remaining artifacts, are unlikely to survive removal because of their fragile state.
Those magic oils are much more practical than potions as they are easily applied by someone else. But I wonder if they stain your clothes, or if they just vanish, once they did their magic?
