Yvell chuckles, " Yes, this device has become almost inseparable to me at this point. Both due to it's well designed utility and as a powerful weapon against foes that wish to either stay out of reach or possess unnatural toughness. Grammanar, I believe you saw me use it to traverse the underground facility beneath the well. In action I have once pierced a terrible wretch from his supposed throne and dragged him vomiting and screaming into the streets. I executed him publicly. "

Yvell seemed sore and pained, the back of his head bruised while side ached from the crane. There could not be many more floors, could there? Coming to the triumvirate of doors, Yvell chose the rightmost and inspected the outside much as he had done before. He would then open it and do the same upon entering.
Yvell sees small wisps of smoke come out of the door, significantly less than at Xoud's bedchambers.
Several shelves and desks run along the northern and western wall of this room, while in the center stands a large contraption made of several concentric metal rings arrayed around a thin metal mesh in which is cradled a black ceramic bottle with a cork plugging its top.
A creature of living smoke, with glowing red eyes, smoking claws and talons floats at the farthest corner.

Did no one say anything about what this creature was? Just making sure. Also it was you all's turns. Need to confirm that Critical GM. Man that was a memorial day Weekend. Muga's readied goes off.
Yvell bit back the pain as the creature's attacks cut into his flesh, luckily his rage made the wounds seal ever so slightly and his Lord's healing gifts spurred him forward. With two deft strikes, Yvell slashed at the smoky figure seeking to give back that which was given.

It seems Gram has disappeared from the site for a moment. His last post was in his Hell's Vengeance game a bit ago. I suppose he would fire his ray with a Vital Strike and use Grit not to expend a charge.
Smoke oozes out of Muga's nose and mouth, and the belker reforms into its insect-bat-like shape. As it does, Yvell slashes at the creature but misses, then slashes through its body. Only ichor remains as its body vaporizes.

Yvell releases the song now that the creature lie dispatched and inspected Muga with a smack on the back and a slight smile, " Have you had your fill of evil air creatures yet? Or would you like more internal bleeding? "

" Good, we'll get you patched up then and ready to continue. See to Valtyra and Phylla. While that is happening, we shall examine this room as always. Though now I'm seeing the strangeness of Furkas' form might have something to do with all the smoke-based creatures we have stumbled upon. "
Yvell gives the room an inspection for anything of use before moving on to the next room.

In the room with the belker, Yvell and the party see a strange black urn sitting atop a table. Thin wisps of smoke seem to escape from its stoppered opening.
Through the metal door to the north, Yvell can hear the slight buzzing of something.
Phylla offers slight healing for Muga, placing a tendril on his exposed flesh and casting cure light wounds. She sends, "I'm still new to this healing you fleshlings require. Maybe when your species evolves you will heal naturally like myself."

Phylla, I'm sure you will learn from us how to accelerate the healing process. Maybe we will learn something about your physiology, I've gained similar healing capabilities from my Lord. "
Yvell, takes his blade out of idle. " Regardless, I hear some buzzing on the other side, it may be a swarm of some type or any strange creature. Be prepared as per normal. "
Yvell awaits the preparedness of the group before throwing the door open.
This chamber is largely empty, save for a few strange metal barrels against the southern wall. Both barrels have jagged rents on their sides, as if some caustic material had melted a hole through them.

For now, we can go look at the urn After we secure the other rooms. If it isnt immediately known to be useful or carries some risk its better to do so when the area is relatively safe.
Yvell looks inside the barrels momentarily, the idea of acidic material tearing through was worrying.

No problemo here, let's keep playing instead of arguing over half-feats. If you wanted or want Finding Haleen there is nothing stopping you from taking it outside of a PFS game.

My computer took a dump on me yesterday and im not sure when ill have a replacement up. I have most of the info for Valtyra but i might not be posting as often as i would otherwise. just a heads up.
If you all want, we can wait off Bran's blindness before pushing forward. Especially if we 'in-game' know that its only an hour. Plenty of in-character reasons to, check our wounds, discuss the implications of what we've seen so far, catch our breath after 3 fights, drink some water and have a bite of rations to keep our strength up all seem reasonable. Blind is bad :/

Yeah after this fight sure, we dont exactly have a time limit to our knowledge so we could wait a bit maybe a few tens of minutes at least. We don't know it will take an hour. But for now we have to survive these blobs.

I agree. I think waiting an hour is a good plan. After the fight i can make sure everyone is healed and good to go.
Also who is Gark?
Someone's alias who we're gaming with hehe. I think the entrance is probably fine but any defenseable position works. We lucked out with only one person failing that blind save too. It's crippling :D Enjoying the game so far (and my dice are as well, I'm kind of on a hot streak but those tend to fade fast). Excellent work so far Demonmoose! (and good job to everyone else playing as well! Iron Gods is supposed to be...rather difficult ^_^ )
Also about the beetles, they may have already awakened and drug the body of the one we killed down to their nest to feast if they're around still. Seemed like they were very hungry. Could be wishful thinking on soft-headed Derlin's behalf though :D

Yeah, I'm Gark.
We've only been exploring a few minutes, so unless they've got fast healing I don't think they're gonna be conscious any time soon. Nonlethal is healed at HD/hour, right?

At this point he is very much our 'knowledge guy' until about 4th level then we will have a better positioning grouping. Either way I rather the GM be the one who rolls for him at least, that way its a neutral party.

Now the only issue with that is Dual Talented Human trades everything ( Bonus Feat and Skilled, But not its type of-course) for +2 to two stats. So I guess for a Half-Elf you'd have to do pretty much the same thing. Everything but Language and maybe Low Light vision. At least according to ARG.

What do you guys think? While leveling would be Ideal, we really haven't done much and our resources are less than expended. We were sent on a mission to explore and find Khonnir however. We COULD go back however and personally deal twitch the Gremlin threat however, then rest. We could also try and rest down here if need be. Maybe go until we deem necessary to return.

Oh I get'cha brother! Bu its more an IC thing, unless convinced otherwise he sees little reason not to continue, hey are not even weighed down by the current loot. And thats saying somethin, 2nd level is Huge for me, as much as 3rd level will be for the party and .. pretty much every level after that. And hats including him being somewhat injured, but Valtyra said she could bless us more.
I am kind of worried about Gremlins attacking town. Do we think they'd be so bold as to do so right away?
IC its hard for Derlin too, I've got half a day's resources, full HP and even if I do run out of rages and destined strikes I'm effective as long as I have a few HP :)

I could see them doing so actually I just do see it ending well because the town has other people who are likely to smash them.
Its hard as any Martial to go back when you can still function fine, especially with your casters mostly at full. If we do return it would likely be to split the loot, maybe Reequip and give an update on our mission to the job poster. Oh and to give Parda a proper burial.

I'd also be interested in climbing the wall above the trash heap and trying the door there. But if that's locked tight, I think we should continue on until Valtyra and Ibuki and I are pretty much novaed out. Then we head back up, rest, and check for gremlins in the morning?
E: Pretty well ninjaed, but yeah, I think we can swing another encounter at least. That's probably about 5 minutes of in-game time, so we should have time to swim back up and deal with the gremlins if they're an issue tonight.

Yeah I can do whatever I think. Also sorry for the lack of posting. Been a bit busier than I had anticipated and most of the stuff going on didn't really fit in with Bran's forte anyways.
I´m gonna state further combat or general actions in my posts from now on, because you people always post a lot when i´m sleeping^^
I think it´s safe to generally assume Ibuki would do knowledge checks on anything and share his knowledge as well as try to speak with people/things first and gather as much intel and info as possible.
His primary interest is the exploration and research of technical artifacts and gathering knowledge about them, as well as the ongoings of history regarding this topic.
Also: Is the map on the link in the campaign tab relevant for us?

I like the fast pace. It keeps things going and interesting.
I´m using dixie.com for maps, since players can move themselves and then repost the map. You can do a gallery on the dixie beta site, where you upload all pics and maps and then just reuse them easily.
Also black squares or fog can just easily be overlaid and removed.
Since you´re running multiple campaigns, that could be comfortable for you too.
I´m exploring Obsidian Portal too at the moment, but the map function doesn´t seem too good right now to me.
