Poly has been missing for quite a while now, not just here but everywhere on the boards. I have a total of three games with him and he stopped posting everywhere at about the same time.

Considering his frequency of posting right up until the stop around the end of October and his habit of giving notice if he would be away for a bit, this seems very worrisome to me.

I spoke with him about 2 or 3 weeks ago. He's having some personal issues. I won't speak for him, but I'm sure he would not mind hearing from you guys if you want to PM him. I'm also pretty sure he will return as soon as he feels like he can.

For the record, I did try and reach out to them.

Well...here it goes:

I have been diagnosed with a bad ticker. And they are in a hurry to get it fixed: Next Tuesday I will be getting open heart surgery and a Heart Bypass at my local VA. That means I will be in the hospital for at least a week of recovery and home resting after that for weeks. I will attempt to keep up with my games, at least by phone for now, but I cannot guarantee anything after next Monday yet. That's assuming I survive. They gave me a pretty low percentage of something going wrong, but with any surgery you never know...

I am still available between now and next Monday however. If you need anything from me for this game until then, just let me know.

Either way, please feel free to bot my character as needed after next Monday, and I hope to get back to all my PbP games (by phone at least) as soon as I can. Hopefully by...Christmas? We'll see I guess.

Same as said in the other threads here, but would not want to jinx it by omitting it in one: I hope things work out fine and do let us know when you are on the way to recovery so we can stop worrying :)

Well, I'd heard a long time back that Poly had something come up and was temporarily away. But that was quite a ways back now. I'm thinking we're orphaned again.

I'm feeling like we've reached the end of the line. There aren't many GMs left around here anymore, and the ones that are have their hands full.

This has been a very special game, for me at least, the one I'm saddest to see go after all this time. It deserves an obituary, so one last Ro style post to send it off. I hope I've been premature in posting it.

I'll miss seeing you all here.
