You are close enough for another +4 due to my glorious pally aura of "hej, if that tiefling is between me and the whatever, I am probably fine right?"

Welp.

Ano can probably catch up to Donimah, if that's alright with everyone else.

I have remove fear prepared.

I can take a 5' step and be in range to cast it on Donimah on my turn this round.

That way, no one gets pulled away from the combat.

Ano: Arrian did it last time so it's okay for anyone else to do so. :)
Ethan: Awesome! I love that spell and often make it a 'required' purchase early on when my PCs can afford it.
Juryia: Sounds good to me! I'd prefer to keep them 'boxed in' in the room where maybe only one of them can attack us at a time?

Stagger proof boots are probably in the top 3 of best magic items for gold value.

For the low cost of 2K gold you get:

--A once a day move as an immidiate action, also known as once a day semi pounce, or once a day move your fat paladin ass into the path of the charging dire tiger trying to charge pounce rake your spell caster
--stand up from prone without provoking
--+4 CMD vs trip and bullrush

And its a boot slot, so not really competing with much.

Alicia has the standard suite of tiefling resistances, so the splash damage shouldnt hurt her much.

I'm sure Juriya made sure you were out of splash though.

She knows from experience with Zeldrith that Tieflings being in the splash aren't going to get hurt. It will hurt more in two levels, especially if she's cognatogen'd up (then it will increase by 6 points)

As in, 2 points of splash literally is nothing to a tiefling until I get bomb discoveries that f~%+ with energy type.

Lay on hand math (correct me if I am wrong):

Alicia has: Fey foundling

Prerequisites: You may only select this feat at 1st level.

Benefit: Whenever you receive magical healing, you heal an additional 2 points per die rolled. You gain a +2 bonus on all saving throws against death effects. Unfortunately, you also suffer +1 point of damage from cold iron weapons (although you can wield cold iron weapons without significant discomfort).

Which, since is 2d6 currently, gets her 2d6+4.

She also has the blessed touch trait:

Blessed Touch

You may have been raised in a devout family, studied the divine in a formal church environment, or even learned how to combine traditional healing techniques with those of divine casters. In so doing, you have focused yourself into being the perfect vessel for your deity. Divine power flows through you like a mountain stream, making your healing touch more potent than that of others.

Benefit(s): You heal 1 additional point of damage when using lay on hands, channeling energy, or casting a cure spell.

Which gives another +1, for a total of 2d6+5 on herself and a 2d6+1 if she heals someone else. If she tries to destroy undead with her touch I think its also 2d6+1.

If she is healing herself via Hero’s Defiance spell (which triggers if she gets knocked out while having lay on hands remaining) it would be an extra d6, so 3d6+5.

She also has "Channel surge", which allows her to expend to charge of lay on hands or channel energy to up the damge/healing by 50%, as a full round action.

Currently, all of her feats and 2 of her traits are channeling/lay on hands related.

Fey Foundling became one of those 'must have' feats for paladin builds. The player in my in-person game who's playing a paladin took it too.

A semi fun thing about Alicia is that she can both

"In the name of all that is holy, I smite thee!" *Trashtalk* but also "OK, our client said to kill an incredibly limpwristed and noddlearmed giant, who is instantly recognizable. I didnt believe that to be honest but" she pauses "OK guys we got our target!" *Trashtalk* and thus has a wide variety of ways to draw aggro by motor mouthing.

Meanwhile, the weak limpwristed, noodlearm Kitsune that has a freaking +12 intimidate because she can infodump how easy it is to kill you.

I was strongly considering Alicia being human (and thus having 2 more skill points per level, one from skilled one from not having an int malus), but background wise her being tiefling opened much more things narratively, and the party got pretty good skills.

I often regret not taking Bruising Intellect as one of my traits to let Donimah intimidate with her INT bonus. <_<

It does seem very powerful.

@Arrian:

Curiously, I thought the inquisitor is the one with the biggest claim to fighting tactics. Rather than weapon skill or spell power, the inquisitor focuses on teamwork tactics and exploiting weaknesses from knowing their opponents. Also, intimidating and tracking are part of the inquisitor's base kit, both of which are really tactical in my opinion.

But I am open to counter arguments!

@I like runes
I agree, with some exceptions (f.e. sworn of the eldest, some non violent inquisitions), inquisitors should be reasonable about tactics, and Cayden Caylean is, in my view at least, partly about overcoming challenges by both brain and brawns.

Alicia has been trained in tactics, she knows what a shield wall is, how to evaluate information, but she isnt actually good at it in general.
What she is good is keeping spirits up and protecting others, which is what she sees her role as.

It's basically their means of 'protecting' themselves in combat especially if they go for the 2H weapon build. My PFS1 paladin has the feat too.

I'll go with your interpretation. :)

I just didn't want to open every spoiler box but Arrian did miss the DC on the Knowledge (Religion) check. :(

The items I was curious about weren't given a check; it's these two:

"A stone door just around the corner from the steps hangs slightly ajar, the detailed carvings that once covered its surface defaced by chisel marks and hammer blows to the extent that only a few remnants of images (mostly of gemstones and crowns) remain."

And

"Alcoves in the north and south walls contain partially damaged statues of a man in robes clutching a book and a glaive."

Those are what I was curious if there were checks to know what they are or their significance.

Male Human Cleric of Erastil (Stoic Caregiver) 5 l AC 18 T 12 FF 16 l HP 38/38 l F +6 R +4 W +8 l Init +2 l Perc +3 I CMB +3 I CMD 15 I Hero Points: 1/3 I Channel Positive Energy: 7/day, 3d6, DC16

Apologies for not taking note of the material components.

I did happen to have holy water, so that was no problem.

I compensated for the cost of the silver by scratching off my alchemist fire (20 gp), and kicked in 5 gp of coin to makeup the difference.

How much would it cost to have the unidentified magic short sword and 4 magic arrows identified?

If you buy an Identify scroll, I'm sure Doni can cast it. If you want to hire someone that would be the cost of the scroll plus a service fee. I have to look that up. I'm looking after my baby right now so I have limited possibility to do that. (read: I don't want to right now)

Would it be 2 scrolls, one for the short sword and one for the arrows?

I checked the Identify spell for any 'costly' material components and none are listed so that should be 25 GP per scroll.

And if you can help my memory: Was it established Arrian's MW falchion *could* be repaired with Mending? It's a cantrip so Donimah might have it or I'd need to know how many scrolls of Mending to purchase. Here's the spell description for non-magical items:

"This spell repairs damaged objects, restoring 1d4 hit points to the object. If the object has the broken condition, this condition is removed if the object is restored to at least half its original hit points. All of the pieces of an object must be present for this spell to function."

Look at that! You're right about Identify! So it'd be only the service fee!

About the Falchion, it'd need the Make Whole 2nd level spell, to counteract the 2nd level spell Shatter that broke it.

That makes sense. :) A 2nd level scroll, no costly components, so 150 GP which is cheaper than buying a new one so anything that saves money is a winner.

@Donimah, Ano, Juriya, and Ethan: Any scrolls you need? I'll check the inquisitor spell list for any 'fix it' spells or the like that Arrian might need. We have two +1 swords so that's 2,300 + half the cost of a bastard sword and short sword for those two, the +1 breastplate (675 sale value if no one wants to wear it), and the masterwork breastplate (175 sale value) available for stuff.

Still looking for input so we can firm up what we're selling and buying.

Juriya: Does she have the ability to create alchemical items? Specifically things like acid, alchemist's fire, holy weapon balm, tanglefoot bags, etc.? If so how many can she make in what time frame?

Ano, Donimah, Ethan, and Juriya: What scrolls on the list should we get? Since we're short of magic weapons that's going to be one to purchase probably 4ish of them.

A scroll or two of lesser restoration would probably be a good idea, as would remove fear.

Yeah stat damage/drain tends to occur in bunches and it would quickly overwhelm Arrian's spell slots. We have to balance out the money situation since we can't afford everything. I think at least 1 scroll of Remove Paralysis, Align Weapon, Magic Weapon, Make Whole (to fix Arrian's MW falchion), are a must. I think a scroll of Knock would be a good idea and possibly one Invisibility? And a See Invisibility as well.

Yeah, restorations scrolls are a good choice.

Stares at 7 STR 7 WIS dingus fox in the corner, one d8 drain away from death.
