On the topic of suppression:

"Even in places where psionic effects do not normally function (such as within a null psionics field), a soulknife can attempt to sustain her mind blade by making a DC 20 Will save. On a successful save, the soulknife maintains her mind blade for a number of rounds equal to her class level before she needs to check again, although the mind blade is treated for all purposes as a non-magical, masterwork weapon while in a place where psionic effects do not normally function. On an unsuccessful attempt, the mind blade vanishes. As a move action on her turn, the soulknife can attempt a new Will save to rematerialize her mind blade while she remains within the psionics-negating effect. She gains a bonus on Will saves made to maintain or form her mind blade equal to the total enhancement bonus of her mind blade."

Here's hoping Alys can roll her Will save really high consistently. :) The rest of us might want to start making some 0-level manifester checks, to find out how strong this field is that we are in.

An airline that the middle class is forced to use? I'm with Rory - all of them. You have to pay 1st Class to get what used to be Coach onboard the airlines now. And let's not forget America's Security Theatre called TSA. Number One reason I don't fly. At all.

Of course, if you own/lease the airplane, you have a separate check-in next to the hangar (or the tarmac), your pilot vouches for you so there is no TSA (but there might be Customs), and you never have to worry about crying babies on the flight (unless they're your own).

But seriously I was thinking in the context of being winged people who are generally racist to non-flyers.

"Running" or "jogging" would be considered demeaning terms outside of an indoor context. Even then I imagine most buildings cater more towards flyers with ramps and things for the weak and the infirm to get around.

There would also be a lack of wheels, because wheeled baby carriages and strollers can't go 3D into the air. Everything would either be stairs or maybe elevators for the very rich, because everybody between 5 and 45 can fly. But gliding might have the same social stigma as snowboarders at a black-diamond ski slope. The young would insist they can glide longer, but flying in short hops from tall platform to tall platform would be more acceptable.

Okay, we have a business offer. 8,000 gp is a nice payoff. We've gotten some intel coming into this anti-magic, anti-psionic, anti-divine zone. Do we:

1.) Have the firepower to fight our way out, killing everyone?
2.) Wait to get paid, probably halfway through the swamp again. Then double back for the killing zone?
3.) Just get paid and decide what to do at the ocean inlet?

We're obviously outnumbered and (without psionics) outgunned here. How to turn this to our advantage?

Connor's about to do a +2 Survival check to hunt some swamp animals on the way back to the campsite. Maybe some Perception checks to see if we're being followed?

Well I didn't expect to go back to the city. Let's talk about our options and problems. We just lost the only magical items we had to lure the smugglers with. The harpy in the city was expecting us to go and defeat the smugglers in their hideout. If it had been a normal hideout that I could have overwhelmed with disposable astral constructs with everybody else going for broke, maybe. But those anti-and-nullifying ruins put a stop to that idea, and hard.

We can't assault the ruins with just our people, not against guns and no powers. I don't want Alys making a concentration check every other round. Going into the city for supplies without accomplishing our mission is just asking to be picked up by the patrols again.

I've also got the nagging suspicion that there's an insider somewhere in that city with the magical items. Maybe they think they're doing a good thing, supplying the new anti-aircraft cannons with a steady supply of magical item fuel, and making some money on the side. But that doesn't add up to the reception we got. This is like the US War on Drugs - that you find out the CIA is growing the poppy fields in Afghanistan with US Marines guarding the fields, and shipping the product to dealers in the USA to fund their black budget programs. You might get a few dealers, but if you really dug in and started shooting down an actual percentage of the drug runs, all of a sudden you start to get higher-ups telling you to lay off, go over to this other area for a while. The Vietnam War all over again.

So we might go tell the harpy that the Problem just became a Really Hard Problem, one that might take an army to fix - and the mole in the authorities will be onto us in one second.

Give me a few hours to compose something IC.

Jungle was fine.

As soon as you entered the ruins themselves, everything went wonky. So, inside the building. Not outside.

I think we could still handle it. Rory laughs off antimagic fields. Though some of his feats will fail to function his maneuvers will still work.

The other two will lose their armor but they don't suddenly forget to fight.

Alys too is still capable of fighting without her uber cannon.

Connor would be screwed.

Roderick is moderately screwed but certain abilities will still function well enough so he can fight.
