I will never not hope for more options to have gear that's more integrated to your character. Make it so your items can't be taken away or broken, options like eldritch nails. Paying money to have Wolverine claws is a million times cooler than paying for a sword. The exact method isn't super important; could be augmentations a la starfinder, could be weapon rune tattoos, etc.

To make the case for a particular favorite of mine: Wyrwoods absolutely have a unique niche, even in a game that now has 3 other construct Ancestries. The current options are firmly outsiders - Automatons are bound pretty tightly to the ancient Jistka, and have been almost completely scattered to the winds, forgotten by history, while Androids have only just recently escaped from state-sanctioned slavery in Numeria (and still face violence from anti-tech Kellids), and Poppets are usually singular creations.
In contrast, the Wyrwoods were able to flee Azlant as a people to Arcadia, thousands of years ago. There are presumably Wyrwood towns on that continent, and also Wyrwood neighborhoods in larger cities - we know they're present in lofty Segada. What does it look like to have that depth of community? I'm so curious about a corner of Golarion where living constructs hawking in the market or attending church services with you is not only normal, but completely ordinary. We've seen the lone "sad robot" plenty of times - let's see some of them thrive!
It also doesn't hurt that having them gets us 90% of the way to having Warforged mechanics, a vital step for the surprisingly-numerous Eberron PF2 efforts out there at present. My other Ancestry hopes feel much less likely: Lashunta are from another planet and thus irrelevant in 99.99% of campaigns, Minotaurs are "monsters" and a vocal crowd want them Large (I'd be content with Medium ones, Nuar-style), and Sekmin have been pretty firmly sorted as villains despite my cheerleading. Compared to all that, Wyrwoods actually have a decent chance.

Gosh, I would go crazy for a Darklands book, but what would its scope even be? It seems so impossibly expansive... Do we know of any Absalom-like Darklands city? Maybe something akin to a neutral ground to the biggest players on Golarion's undergrounds? I would hope for a big book like LO: Mwangi Expanse, but maybe it is more realistic to expect something more on the scope of the recently announced Highhelm?
I remember the 1st's edition Darklands book being pretty good, though, but I'd love to hear more about the people, residents, religions and traditions, efforts and intrigues, and a little less of its many natural hazards (but to clarify, these are still great!). There is so much to tackle, though! And I don't really see Paizo prioritizing a Darklands book over any of the many possibilities that Golarion's surface itself offers. Hopefully I'm on the wrong :B
I'd also be very interested in a LO: Golden Road book, in a Shadow Plane book, in Astral Plane book and something that includes the Merfolk as a playable ancestry. Let me play as a mermaid, Paizo!
And this is probably a nitpick, but I'm with everyone else saying that they'd appreciate more support for existing classes and archetypes, especially in the form of class feats. I get that releasing new archetypes is probably more productive since this content is technically available to everyone, versus some new wizard feats for example. Buuuut... Eh. I dunno. Some classes feel pretty sparse, sometimes. Oh, ancestries too! Actually, I think they're the biggest offender on this subject.

After reading the Mwangi Expanse Lost Omens book, I'd be really interested to see someone (whether it be Paizo or a third party publisher) do a similarly culturally respectful and well written take on the Pacific Islands and Pasifika mythology with involvement from writers and artists from the area.

The second book of Tyrant’s Grasp has a backmatter article on traveling merchants, including a full page on the Taotake people, who are seemingly fantasy-Pacific Islanders from the Okaiyo Ocean (between Tian Xia and Arcadia). Monsters of Myth features a legendary monster they and other people of the region contend with, and we’ve had a few hints of Taumata, an ancient empire that fell there long ago.
Minata, in Tian Xia, draws on both the Philippines and some Southeast Asian nations (the local Wayangs have some Indonesian inspiration, I believe), and not coincidentally is full of folks who sail the Okaiyo.
If my interest in the subject isn’t obvious - I’d love to hear more about all of it!

I really want an archetype or something else that makes me a viable mount for another PC. Under the current rules (both rider and mount loose an action) this is simply a horrible idea. Let me play a human who holds a toy poppet in one hand all the time, a saddled up anadi in spiderform mounted by a goblin or an orc with a sprite lurking out of his shirts front pocket.

My favourite books so far are those of the Lost Omens line, particularly Mwangi Expanse, so I'm hoping to see books come out of a similar style for Tian Xia, the Darklands, and the Golden Road primarily. But I'm certain such a book can shine for most regions.
On the mechanical side, I'd love it if the Shifter class could make a return. I liked the concept in 1e but it could use a better execution. Don't know if such a thing would be prioritized over more popular classes though.

I'm looking forward to any non Europe-adjacent Lost Omens regional book (Golden Road, Tian Xia, Arcadia, Casmaron, mainly, but Darklands or First World would be interesting too).
As for the mechanical side of things, while new classes are always exciting, I'm most looking forward to new options for existing classes, such as witch lessons (priority to that, I want focus spell options that allow new thematically interesting choices), sorcerer bloodlines, barbarian instincts and feats for the classes, especially for caster classes.
Oh, and new skill feats with interesting effects.

1. Mythic rules, obviously. Not sure whether Paizo would do epic or mythic in Pathfinder Second Edition though. I really wish Paizo make both epic levels and mythic tiers for Second Edition, so that I can make a 30th level sorcerer with 10 archmage tiers!
2. Bestiary for much powerful monsters. I have always thought that the CR cap in Pathfinder First Edition was too low. I really wish to see the level cap will increase to 40 in Second Edition, so that the demigods and kaijus can finally become a truly horrific challanges!
3. Numeria and space related stuff.
4. Variant spellcasting system. I mean, the mana system. The Vancian magic system is one of my least favorite feature in Pathfinder First Edition and, to my great disappointment, it still remains in Second Edition! If Paizo and most players love the vancian magic so much, fine. But they can at least make a variant spellcasting system using mana, can't they?

The "NPC Index" series at Pathfinder Infinite have pretty much handled that for Paizo. They did one for warrior classes and one for casters; given the sales, they'll cover it all sooner or later.

Pathfinder Infinite is the marketplace Paizo has set up where anyone can publish Pathfinder 1, 2, or Starfinder content while using the Lost Omens IP. The NPC Index series is a set of stat blocks for NPCs using four classic martial (NPC Index: Warriors) and caster (NPC Index: Spellcasters) classes, plus templates to mimic ancestries for those stat blocks. It's very helpful for running games on the fly, in my experience :)

Hey guys, I'm the author of the NPC Index line of books.
It's a large repository of pre-made statblocks of class-based enemies that you can drop into your games. We've covered Warriors (Fighter, Barbarian, Champion, Ranger) and Spellcasters (Cleric, Druid, Sorcerer and Wizard) so far and each book has 112 statblocks ready to go across levels 1 - 20.
They are built and balanced using the rules to build NPCs in the Gamemastery Guide and include a modular system of special abilities and curated spell lists for you to swap in and out if you don't want to use the statblocks exactly as they are.
Simplified ancestry templates means you can take the statblock and quickly make it a dwarf, elf, android, tengu (30 ancestry templates) so the creature your players face is distinct and memorable.
They also have Foundry support, so you can literally just drop them from the repository into your games if you use that VTT.
NPC Index: Specialists is in the works which will finish off the core classes and then we'll look at whether there's appetite for the rest of the released classes.

A couple subclasses I'm in desperate need of: Aberration and Ooze Eidolons, a Lawful Neutral option for Champions, and a fiend Instinct for Barbarians. I'd also welcome a Couatl Bloodline for Sorcerers, and want niche old Nanite Bloodline Sorcerers back, too.
Fiend Barbarians in particular is something I continuously reach for and am surprised isn't officially there. It would open up so many characters: all sorts of Tieflings, Sarkorian survivors, infernal Bekyar warriors, those 'blessed' by Demon Lords...

Nah. Mantis Shrimp just has a sonic damage adder on its standard melee attack. It's a martial rather than a caster.

Peacock mantis shrimp is more beautiful. Pistol shrimp is ugly. Also, pistol shrimp has a big penalty to Perception checks when mantis shrimp has a bonus.

Why not both? :-)
And doesn't one of them (or their kin) snap so hard it makes flashes of light too along with the sound clap? It's like unlimited organic flash bangs. So cool. Ridiculously OP in so many ways. I liked the PF1 monster version and hope to see it and more. Heck, we've got 4 elephants.Bigdaddyjug |

Mantis shrimp cause a cavitation bubble that gets hotter than the surface of the sun and their "punch" can break bones if you put your finger in a tank with them.

Mantis Shrimp cavitation is about 4700 degrees celsius.
Pistol shrimp cavitation is about 4800 degrees celsius....and if we were comparing things where size was the determining factor, we wouldn't be comparing shrimp.

- A follow-up feat for Expanded Spellstrike that denies the target a possible Saving Throw when hit.
- A way to reduce Heightened costs, like -1 level per 6 levels or something, with a Rare feat if needed, or be able to take 1 extra action per intended spell slot to not use.
- Errata for some vehicles, because the Sailing Ship went from 200 passengers to 10 and the Airship from 100 to 15 between editions... somehow...
- Vanaras, Wayangs, Nagajis and other creatures as ancestries, and there could be a book focused on those like the Advanced Race Guide.
- Medium and Mesmerist "minds" for the Psychic
- Bloodrager instinct for the Barbarian
- Ninja racket for the Rogue
- Samurai archetype
- Focus "spells" for the Fighter, obtained via Fighter feats, reflecting powerful signature moves
- A "spellcasting" research field for the Alchemist, with mutagens and bombos mimicking spells
- Wieldable weapon or wearable armor Eidolons for the Summoner
- Feats that expand a Thaumaturge's implements with extra stuff, such as wand gaining Acid, Sonic or Mental damage.
- Any weapon and monster still converted to P2E

I know it's very commonly asked and paizo mut be aware of it right now, but I'm still waiting for a fungal druid order/archetype. I love them pretty much anywhere I see them, and I'm sad that they still aren't there in pathfinder 2e. They fit a very nice niche of still being very much about the natural world, but a much more "alien" side of it.
I think that we've also reached the point were pathfinder 2e need to flesh out a bit plannar travel. I especially want some more rules for exploration/life within the first world and the shadow plane, and they always appeared amongst the coolest planes to me, yet very rarely exploited.
I'd also think we need a darkland book, but I what I would really like to see them do (if possible) is to implement better rules for "climbing combat", where people may not just stand on the floor, but on the walls, ceiling, or if you're attacked as you're climbing down some impossibly deep ravine. The idea of an entire world beneath the world always appealed to me, but I always found dissapointing that darkland books always seemed to focus more on giant cavern that work exactly the same as the surface world, just without a day/night cycle. Having a focus on more uncommon space that can't really exist in the surface world would be nice.
Lore wise now, I would just like to see more concerning the rare/uncommon ancestries. The description of the different elves and dwarves faction in the mwangi book made me actually interested in playing one of them (something that never happenned before, as both dwarves and elves always seemed a bit bland to me), and I was a bit sad that the rare ancestries of that book were all rule and no lore.

classes:tattoist, shaman and some asian tinbted classes (see regions)
and additional support for existing classes.
regions: Tian Xia, like mentioned somwhere here before (the ocean side of world), the darklands
AP:I would actually like an AP(11 to 20) that would go from the concept of the pathfinder society aspect. I know they all have smaller ones to run. But would love the idea of that whole concept into the world a bit more and giving you a bit of mix of adventure styles and regions to explore again.
Finally I would love to see some expanding on skill feats.
Pinktiger |
ooh....and almost forgot. but i would love an AP where they would work together with an escape room creator (like post curiousor Jack Fallows) to create something that would give more real puzzles to solve (even with objects that would come along that players can keep as memento but that have to be used to solve a puzzle)

Idk if rage of the elements will have any new ancestries, but the kasesh, the new earth elementals from the lost omens book, would be absolutely perfect if it does. I sadly don't personally care for any of the ancestries from impossible lands, they are all boring to me, but the kasesh are just lovely and probably one of my favorite pathfinder designs ever. I'm a sucker for all ancestries that aren't shaped like generic bipedal humanoids.

This is fairly niche but I want impractically heavy weapons. I want like... an inagile property that makes your MAP worse (one point, two points? five points?) but in return lets us have weapons that are bigger and killier than they have any right to be.
I know giant barbarians have big stupid weapon in their kit, but there are a lot of characers who could or maybe would like to run big stupid weapons without necessarily being a specific type of barbarian, so I think it could be fun.
