Hi guys! Posting it on all my pbps.
Our offshore team at work is very affected by the pandemic at the moment and with the fiscal year approaching to an end, our reduced capacity is terribly affecting my time. For the next several weeks it will likely impact me in such way that I simply won't be able to keep up with the forums, things normalizing only as we start approaching mid June.
For the games where I play, GMs please feel free to bot the characters. If you don't desire to bot me for so long, I completely understand, apologize for the late notice and wish you all the best of fun. If you hold me around, though, I should be back after this storm.
For the games where I host, my sincerest apologies to the players - I won't let you hanging so if you stick around until my return we will give it continuation as normal. Otherwise, please message me and once I'm back I'll recruit replacements.
To everybody, I'm sorry for the late notice and I hope we will continue playing together once I'm back!
Cheers,
Archlich

What do you guys mean by... Dancing hut? - says Timm, visibly confused - I met a dancing mutt once. His name was Toto! He was trained by my cousin Narolio Neturo, and I must tell you how talented he was. He would wig his tail and jump back and forth to the rhythm of the ukulele! If you clap your hands, he would do a spin. Oh, that was great! These people from the Minatan islands are quite something. His sister, my cousin Nawelia Neturo, was an accomplished tailor. I'm not kidding, she could sew socks with her feet while talking to you! I remember she had even a nice trick to have the socks in place, on her feet, by the time she finished doing the job. Neat! Oh, neat reminds me of their mother, dear aunt Noselle Neturo. Already deceased, mind you. Such a sweet person, but a neat freak. Would you believe she liked to swab every single door knob after someone touched it? She would walk around with a piece of cloth!

If the GM wants, he will always manage to kill a player or the entire party, even in an environment as easy as PFS... And especially if they’re frustrated with something. The game has to be fun to the GM as well, and I’m sure our GM here got frustrated several times as the game dragged sometimes for days without posts, mine included. That particular trap is clearly not as lethal - usually the GMs would resolve an attack against the first person in the room, or give people a chance to react after a single attack in each, these things. For my character, I particularly spelled out that T’Shar was walking in the back and letting other people in first, as to observe what was going on before stepping in, but apparently this was ignored as (like I said) the intention was to make a not-designed-to-be-as-lethal trap kill one or more characters. But it doesn’t matter - it’s just a game, bad things happen, and I’d rather use it for learning (about people to play with, etc.).

I love the Combat Stamina system, and considering my marksman is quite martial, it'd fit him greatly. I was designing him to use bows, but between us it might be charming to get a more steampunk vibe. I think it can work for flavor, but if I could choose I'd limit the tech.
The skill unlock system is kind of cool, but really more on the long run as it takes a while to kick the really interesting options. It's the kind of system you can enable levels from now and not affect the builds.

Lorna feels her words weren't helping much - but yet, she got some of the confirmations she wanted. Her tone changes, now, after Happs answer.
Well, I thought someone with a head full of manure like you would appreciate cows and farming, Happs. - she speaks, and her eyes now lost all tones of diplomacy - But I wasn't speaking only with you.
She turns to the others, openly addressing them and bypassing Byron.
You see, this man fears me, maybe even more than he fears the Stag Lord. He threatens me with a bow from behind a horse, but still stutters when addressing me, his puny tail cowering between his legs. But I offer you, around him, a chance. Are you really willing to risk your necks, instead of properly... Studying the options?
And finally her body turns to Happs. For a moment, it feels like her body moved independently of her own will, as if a terrifying, animated ragdoll.
Are you still afraid of me, Happs Byron? - and as she completes and shows her smile, for the split of a moment it felt as if she had a lot more teeth in her mouth than before... A somewhat sinister smirk wraps it all.

Lorna sits down by a table near the gamblers with a smile in her face, then gets her mug to drink. She was starting to be truly happy near her unconventional companions, and for a moment it troubled her; could moments like this last forever?
Yet, the spiritualist just decided to drink and enjoy the present. There was something brewing in the horizon; that Stag Lord man likely meant even worse business than the Aldori tried to make it sound, she was sure of it. The thrill for adventure had been stronger on her, though, but she couldn't help but look around and wonder - am I in the right place?
Because there she was, barely armored and with a laughable weapon by her side, mostly still dressed somewhat too nicely for an adventurer. Her companions, by other hands, seemed to have a world of experience ahead of her - or, at very least, seemed a lot better prepared. She? She was a stranded noblegirl with a brewing darkness inside of her.
Well - it's not great ale, but it's great company. And this will suffice today!
Not truly a "story-advancing" post, but I still wanted to convey some of her emotions. Rather, let's call it "character-advancing" :)

I am in agreement that it serves us no purpose and is just a waste of time and resources. Whatever instincts you might have, we need to be actually more cerebral than edgy. - says Seltyiel, stoic - I have nothing to prove and couldn’t care less what other future plans you have, or what you did in your past life. We have a fragile alliance born of the mutual need to get out of this place. Anything else you want to do - just stay out of my, or maybe I should say ours, way.
The cleric doesn’t actually breath or show emotions - so his entire speech is a combination of practicality and urgency.
And of course, keep your orders to yourself. We’re all here in an unlikely balance, a sort of unfair equality, and such is needed for us to be free. We already have our plan, and everything else is just unnecessarily distracting babbling.

@GM: That's the hope. The shattered psyche curse is kind of strong, but it was the one that make the most sense for what he is. The Shabti, as "soul clones" of sorts, carry a lot from their creators too. I prefer to keep his creator, that "wizard", as a secret; however, I guess as the game progress (much further down the road), it would be cool if he started to get some glimpses/memories or the man (or woman) and then start putting the whole thing together in his strange, multifaceted brain :)

Here's what I'm working in:
Alignment True Neutral, Pharasmian
Class Unchained Summoner (Soulbound) - likely with the Shattered Psyche curse
Race Shabti
Party Role Mainly Support Caster (buffing the party, crowd control, etc... the unchained summoner spell list toolkit); potentially also Face, Damage Dealer via the Eidolon, Some Skills. I have not started a crunch yet as I'm working on the backstory
Concept/Pitch The character is a Shabti created to replace an evil wizard as he died and was dragged to the planar depths. Tortured for years, he was finally able to escape due to a miracle: adventurers raided an infernal dungeon he was tethered to, and left a portal behind. Pharasma took compassion on the poor, lost, broken soul, and bound him to a psychopomp to guide him through his new life... And potentially find the wizard which fooled death to pay for eternity.
I'm still working on the background, but wanted to post as a pitch and find out if there's any concern from the GM (with his race, class, archetype, background...).

Aasimars in the past D&D iterations used to have a longer lifespan, but in Pathfinder they were given (like tieflings) lifespans that match those of humans (or, I should say - those of the race the outsiders mixed with, since aasimars and tieflings can be of any humanoid background, like dwarves or halflings; they can even be small). So, an elf aasimar could have a lifespan of hundreds of years, but the most common one (human) would be the numbers from ARG.

In another recent game (jade regent, where I play the healer) I started investing/trying other types of healing - via the "heal" skill. You know, it sounds obviously, but before this character I only saw heal as useful to check who's dying or to work people overnight. There are some fun feats and items (besides the usual healer's kit) that are plain great. I also like the pei zin practitioner oracle with his herbalism, but I haven't tried it yet.

Nothing is worse than the oozemorph shifter, and I was able to play with it an entire AP. The quintessentialist is bad but I might still make it work at higher levels... hopefully :) flavor trumps all and I’m sure you guys will compensate. My biggest concerns are healing related and I feel I will still manage it somehow. In party terms, though, the lack of an arcane caster might be our biggest downfall, so let’s tread carefully. We gotta find someone to do spellcraft too.

Donnen felt a little awkward when he's pulling along - and definitely even more when he was surrounded by his much more charismatic teammates. Yet, he grunted as he looked at the enemy. This was absolutely outside his expertise, and a weird smile formed.
He was a paladin and his word was ironclad; so, when he shook his head agreeing they would treat the prisoner fairly, he truly meant it, and tried to transmit that feeling with his eyes that they could be trusted.

Still don't know about these tokens - if these are something AP-related distributed before I joined, then I want to call the GM's attention to this fact (in case it's relevant).
No touching dolls - check. I'll limit myself to burning dolls. - says Timm, scratching his chin. He looked at Letitia with interest, but didn't say much. He could somewhat fly as well, but likely not as gracefully, and certainly not in a way he could demonstrate here without burning the place down. Yet, being able to shoot his fire blasts at foes at 120 feet, he rarely had to be concerned with flying.
From what you folks are saying, we definitely should seek protective gear against witches. And their curses! You know, my cousin Babburcio Beggins couldn't speak for hours after he met one witch. She did something with his tongue, and not in a pleasant way! I guess she was annoyed he would speak too much. I mean, witches can be pleasant! My third aunt Faffelia Farofa, daughter of my uncle, the great hero Felistono Farofa, was a witch. She even had a cauldron, but painted pink with beautiful white dove-looking runes! She was able to heal wounds with that cauldron. That's how she healed my could Jokasta Jajabuda, which had been peglegging since she stepped in a twig by her neighbor's Tytarato Tetolongo. Oh, the Tetolongos had such a beautiful farm! They used to raise ostriches... - and he keeps speaking for quite a while, making people understand why the witch cursed his cousin to stop speaking. The greatest thing, as you already mentioned, is being able to bypass cold resistance.
In a different game where I played a Winter Witch, my first level was actually Sorcerer (because of Irrisen Icemage, but I also did it crossblooded for Boreal and Cold Draconic). It really gimped my progression but it was totally worth it, especially since I did VMC Oracle for Freezing Spells as well (lots of synergy). For Patron I did Trickery with infernal contract (free Misfortune Hex at the cost of 1 first level spell slot, basically, of infernal healing).

I think Balacertar has a good point (and this is exactly what I saw in previous groups I had been in). However, 7 is a little too bloated. I feel 5 or 6 tops is the good spot (as you can still lose 1 person or 2 and work). When the parties are too bloated, you might end up losing people just because they don't want to be in a group that takes forever to move waiting for everybody (or most) to post.

Kandoo notices Rimesong removing the nicely crafted sword from the frozen hand, but doesn't say much - they don't know each other so well, and the tiefling understood some of these people were not really interested in working as a party, mostly wanting to look out for themselves. It is okay..., thought the paladin, ... such was the life of an adventurer.
At the same time, he couldn't but admire the tenacity of the gnome opening the box. His spirit was warm. The Dwarf, too, seemed concerned about the group, and fought with the ferocity of his race. And the two Human women... Definitely powerful arcanist by themselves, destined to something grand. There was, after all, something special starting to form there.
Let's find the road, my friends. - finally says Kandoo, waiting for the contents of the box to be stored again - This seems like a proper clue of what happened here. I fear for her security, and we should seek these bandits.

Right. I like the idea of doing an iron caster (there are ways to do it even without cheesing with brawler, by the way!) and I think it's cool you're doing it around a gloomblade using a runic theme :)

Mashaka stops. She stays frozen for moments, and slowly, slowly, turns on her heels towards the teenager. Steps ahead, eyes wide open - one brown, the other a light blue, looking almost blind - she approaches. Still in complete silence, for instants it's really tough to understand what's going to happen - until the changeling starts smiling.
The skinny, dusty, messy hair cleric of madness stays there, and her smile keeps opening revealing teeth pointy, broken and yellow as if they had constantly chewed at rocks. The whole thing is as scary as the smile of an evil and playful fey. Her hands stay in her own hips, revealing nails sharp as long like claws - and while they're obviously piercing the clothes and skin their owner, Mashaka doesn't seem minimally bothered by it.
Pastry! - she finally yells from the top of her lungs, immediately laughing out loud, until finally crumbing into a whisper to the teenager - Like a robin in the deep bottom of a muddy lake. Tee-hee!
Dangerously dressed in madness!

Ooohh I think E6 is a treat! I love that it becomes more strategic and martial, perfect for low magic. If I may suggest, the elephant in the room also goes quite well with it. And to be honest, more martial and brutal would go great with the whole Viking thing.

Also, keep in mind Kandoo is a paladin - lay on hands, channel, even spells at some point. We should be good!
In the party loot matter, I like the methodology where every loot we get, we put in a spreadsheet and calculate their sell cost and split by the party. If you want to keep something for your character, you basically “pay” for it (again, half price) with your share. Balanced, fair and simple! Potions and scrolls don’t count, and everybody chime in for things like party wands.

To be honest, I'm getting a little concerned with some of the applications! Not to rain in my colleagues' parade, but the issue with certain third party stuff is exactly the fact it isn't balanced with the more "core" or "normal" stuff (which some of us, like me, prefer to use). I want to submit a character like I like playing, but I don't want to see myself in a party with others abusing things like Path of War, Spheres or any other busted thing :$ and my apologies for the sincerity if it offends anyone.

To be honest, I think Zin was quite clear that we could have continued exploring, and even I voted to do so (even if Ledt had to leave before, he had already done enough for the credit). I'm fine with how things went and I think the GM shouldn't hand stuff if people rush.

I can’t cast spells, Fley, but I also don’t see why Donnen would get it instead of you so go ahead. We’re all equally important :)

While I think it could be fun to have a full party of warpriests, I love this investigator too much to repurpose her. I will keep applying with the character I actually want to play (this one), but wish you guys luck if the GM decides to buy into the idea (honestly, probably it would be best to do a different recruitment for the "all-warpriest" party if some GM decide to run it, and I'd apply there too with some ideas I have).

This Tartuccio sounds just like the kind of guy I want to see floating in the Eye of Abendego within a giant block of ice. - finally says the witch, shaking her head as she hears the stories from the others. She gestures with her hands, forming a small block of ice with her prestidigitation - It will definitely be a pleasure to help find him.
She blinks to Linzi.
... To help find Turd-tuccio, I mean. - and then smiles, crushing the small block of ice.
